  1. Which areas? Not saying is now the best in the world. On first impression he seems like he can motivate the players, we look fitter and our tactics have improved and changed through out games. While also getting the fans rocking in his demeanour and what he says to the press. His team choices and subs have been questioned but as with Nzogbia a cameo has lead to two very good performances. He is known as a very good coach and a backer of youth teams. Transfers seems the only area we can't currently positively judge him on in his short time with the club.
  2. Surely can't be playing 4 games at Wembley over two days?
  3. I said when we appointed Sherwood and everyone was moaning about not getting Pulis that he was not the kind of manager that we could stomach for a whole season. He is a means to an end in a relegation battle and for a team like Stoke he was great bringing them into the prem and stabilising them. But even they were sick of him once they were settled.
  4. Was a harsh red. Played well when he came on, looks very menacing to the opposition quick feet, good movement and I think he's a lot stronger than he looks. Needs to sort out his shin pad situation

I don't like the semi finals being played at Wembley it takes away the prestige of the final in my opinion
  6. It feels like we are safe with the euphoria of the last week but we need to stay grounded as we are still in real trouble. I cant imagine Tim will let the players forget it. Glad we are starting to build some momentum, Would love us to absolutely spank Sunderland and watch the belief ooze out of the players.
  7. I genuinely hope their players managed to get off the pitch with out too much aggro from the imbeciles that invaded the pitch
  8. Goals ration and Win ratio looking good Edit - Id also add a fans with positive first impression ratio
  9. Yes he can score a 20 yarder but he is a very poor footballer. His attribute of being able to take on a man and maybe score is not enough when he cant defend cant pass and has a terrible touch. I think he put his first 3 passes out of play today. I know he was played out of position but that dosnt make up for the poor passes, poor touch and decision making. Maybe a little harsh as we have won today but that is a generalisation of his ability and time at Villa IMO. I dont see a future for him at this club if we improve our over all quality of the squad.
  10. Although Gabby, Nzogbia, Cleverly, Lowton & Sinclair seem to have been brought back from the brink. I dont think Ive ever seen Weimann as a player that has produced consistency and showed enough quality like the others. Hes been there because there has been no one else. Hes probably one of the hardest trainers but he dosnt have enough quality I dont think we will be seeing much of him from now on.
  11. Good performance. Still made mistakes that could have cost us. Consistency with age he will see this guy turn into a top European defender.
  12. Tim will play his part in the press conferences not slating the fans who came on the pitch but you could see he was furious and rightly so.
  13. He has the quality and technical ability, he dosnt have to try as hard to be good like some of the others do. He was menacing today, teams still know the player he can be and with another good performance again today he is starting to win the fans back. Obviously putting it in on the training ground aswell or he wouldnt be playing. Welcome back Charles its been a while but very pleased to see you.
  14. Very much a game of two halfs only one player managed to play well in both IMO so well done Nzogbia. MOTM in order: Nzogbia Gabby Okore Delph Sinclair Westwood, Lowton and Bacuna were poor in the first half and Bacuna was then poor for the rest. Fine he was out of position but his touches and passing were very bad. Ref very very poor through out but some how praised by the commentary team. Fans at the end were embarrassing, Wouldnt even let the players of the pitch. Delph got ambushed. Took the shine of the result and second half performance.
  15. Ref has been terrible and I'm glad he continued
  16. Bacuna is an incredibly poor footballer
  17. Gabby is spending too much time fighting with the centre back
  18. Like a freezing cold knife through butter
  19. No, in the same way Mourinho takes all the flack Sherwood is taking the focus away from the players but still applying pressure in his words. Whether it is as calculated as Mourinho I don't know. If the players are seeing his press conferences they are all about standing tall, working hard, respecting the club and manning up. Modern football is a package deal and how you act off it shows on the pitch. You never heard Ferguson rolling over and saying a loss was ok.
  20. He was very good against Albion, nearly every game ythis season you havnt be able to tell he is on the pitch, not even able to point him put. but on Tuesday he was everywhere with great energy and bite, showed some quality too. It's hopefully a good start to a renaissance for Cleverly because he could be an asset to us.
  21. Just thought Izzard had scored for Chelsea, dont think Eddie would fit the Mourinho style
  22. Was about to say would love to see stats from his performance tonight. He's becoming a top draw defender and I imagine teams using opta and all manners of data collection are beginning to see Clark at the level he is as an individual this season and not the team he is playing in.
  23. Well well well. I am delighted to say well played today and a good few games since Sherwood arrived. His pressing was key, he put himself about and moved the ball quickly. He resembled the played I remember seeing at Wigan. More performances like that and he will be key to our survival and someone I'd want signed up for next season. Go on a prove us all wrong Tom.
