  1. Another big thumbs up for Stranger Things, I had been looking for something to watch and it delivered. I had tried to watch The Wire but after about 5 episodes I cant help but feel that anyone who has recommended knew it was epically shit and the final shot of the final season must be to spread that its good as one big joke. Now watching "The Five" and while it has a good premise it is all so coincidental and poorly written, Ive gone to far though so now I have to finish watching it.
  2. This is what I was worried about, it's the same as premier league experience needed when we're in the Premier League. I was hoping that while needing a few experienced players we would go and raid the best of the championship and below in search of players who are good enough and have a desire and need for a platform to get to the prem. sadly I feel if we go for Premier League Experience to get back we get cast offs who aren't needed but think they deserve it. Sounds familiar.
  3. Arkadiusz Milik gone to Napoli for €34 million. Ridiculous.
  4. From moving from hospitality into an office the sickness is incredible. When the rest of your team don't rely on your physical graft to get through the day all obligation to not call In sick seems to go out the window. I had a pretty bad cold (man flu) around Christmas and 3 members of my team and my manager said I should go home and call in sick tomorrow, not due to potential of spreading it just that I didn't look, sound or feel great. Even after 18 months I an office across two companies I still struggle with people calling sick unless I see a picture of them in a hospital bed.
  5. Can see it as one of those "we tried to spend big but we couldn't find value" moments from Wenger. Does he really have that much financial control and self imposed responsibility or do the board not want to give him the money. The two players they have spent big on in Ozil and Sanchez are their best players, Wenger needs to spend £150 million this window on a striker a centre back and another def mid to win the league and retire on a high. Otherwise He will buy another attacking midfielder and be hounded out by the supporters wrightly or wrongly eventually.
  6. Watched the first 4 episodes last night. Due to the kids in it at time feels like it's made by Spielberg feeling like the Goonies, ET or Super 8. It's very different and a the moment I have no idea about what's going on or where it is going. Has my girlfriend hiding behind the pillow. It's very good.
  7. Just watched Whiplash, good film.

    Adama Traore

He spent his time on holiday in Russia and was actually born in 1986
  9. But they are a business, the difference in dropping tickets from £40 to £30 if your filling your 40k seater stadium over the domestic 19 home games is £8 million, If you can get £40 why change from a business point view. I for one would go more if it was cheaper and I will be going to villa a lot more the season as its £25. Transfers this summer are just getting out of hand and that £8 mill probably goes towards just agents.
  10. Good to have a manager with a personality. After Erikson, McLaren, Capello and Hodgson will be good to have an Englishmen who seems to be his own man with his own ideas.
  11. It seems stupid really, lower prices, fill stadium, improve atmosphere at the ground and on TV, improves brand, sell brand for more money. I suppose if your already filling 80% of your ground at the current price filling 100% and making less money makes no sense. Especially if your going to get the kind of money from the rights anyway.
  12. I don't rate him anywhere near what others do. Not quite a flop and certainly not as bad as Veron but definitely not worth the money. Is he going to score 60 a season or even 30? I don't think so. You put that kind of money down for Suarez, Messi, Ronaldo, Ibrahimovic, Bale, Lewandowski and Neymar in their primes not a potential unpolished gem. Players that turn a game in seconds and do it regularly. Hell probably be in the bracket with ozil, Sanchez, hazard, James Rodriguez, Di Maria, Isco, Griezman, Muller, Douglas Costa, Higuain, Benzema in terms of players who are very very good but not quite the best. (And thats harsh on some of them) But Two lists of players I'd rather have than Pogba.
  13. Is this really your opinion? You might be in need of a little education of the countries that are Muslim and their differing leaderships and actions across the world. Might compare some of those actions to some Christian countries in Africa and see how bad that club is as well.
  14. This is correct we are now the non EU country and Germany in the EU so they can't make an individual trade deal with non EU states. We cannot make an individual deal with them the same way that when we were in we couldn't make a deal with Brazil for example. not aimed at you but people seem very confused by the truth that we still have a large trade base in Europe and will have to negotiate. The EU block hold all the cards in the negotiations as we really need the trade we get from those nations. We are not in a position of power in these negotiations and once article 50 is triggered we will have even less. May either needs to wait until she is settled and deal with comcequences or do it now and hope that she is able to deal with it, either way so e huge negotions and decisions need to be made.
  15. Although not limited to the Torres it is a huge problem with them. They often say they are here to look after the working classes and deliver the opposite but because some low brow media outlets shovel it down people throats that Labour especially Corbyn are the idiots it just passes people by. You just need to look at her voting history around the things she said needed to be fixed and she's never had the intention of looking after the working class or poor.
  16. Being able to sell Sanchez for 3 mil and been offered 7 for Gana shows that teams are looking at individual stats to make purchases. Brilliant they make the most tackles but can't pass to save their lives so need to win it back and oh their first and second touch is shit so next touch also becomes a tackle
  17. Id go as far as saying he is fantastic in all the films highlighted. These films all have different roles and he certainly couldnt be type case from any of them. He has a fair few terrible films though and I havnt seen a good new Pitt film for a while.
  18. If United spend anywhere near 100 million on Pogba Ed Woodward needs to be shot
  19. I think Big Sam is a fine tactician as it is. If you appoint him you do it for solidity first. Look how far it's taken Portugal and the performances of Ireland, Iceland, NI and Wales. we are not the big fish we think we are and we need and manager who organises and most importantly is his own man unlike Hodgson. If we go for a "star" name like Klinsman we are just as screwed for the next 4 years
  20. I hope we sign Charlie Taylor from Leeds
  21. Tories still being in charge is pretty horrible
  22. This was posted on my Facebook today: " Today we shall remember the bloodiest day in Britain's history of war ..... Thousands upon thousands of young soldiers jumped over the top on to no mans land and was shot down at the battle of Somme! So many of them was under 25 and never came home! They died so that we could have freedom! Only one of the many reasons I voted out! I love my country" "You voted out because of the Somme?" "Yes one of many reasons" "Was the Somme about leaving the EU then?" "It was to fight for our freedom" "The same freedom that led to the great depression and World War 2?" "It was one of many reasons" While not factually correct on my part, yet another person on Facebook who has no real idea of what they have voted for or why.
