  1. Is it not experience in England which is being reported, and not only Premier League?
  2. How about Aleksander Isak, or has that ship sailed already? Not any experience in the English league and maybe too inexperienced for us to gamble on as our main striker. He is at Real Sociedad, and although Dortmund has a buy back clause of 30 million euro (or something like that), but he apparently do not want to go back there. sne or some of our other Swedish fans would know more about him and his situation I guess.
  3. You might have seen more of Buendía than me, but every time (not that many tbf) I have seen him play I have been impressed with his work rate and his tracking back. I wonder if we might go for Batshuayi as we were reportedly interested earlier transfer windows. Also would expect us to go for Rico Henry if Brentford fails to get promoted.
  4. I see many people talking about King here. He did an interview a while back in Norway where he stated that he has an ambition to play Championship League football in his career. Whether he gets that or remains to be seen, but that is his target and I would think he would not come to Villa. He did get 5 minutes in Championships League for ManU ages ago, but he is saying that those minutes does not count in his eyes. Although I like him as a player, I wouldn’t sign him due to his injuries.
  5. I don’t mind Watford (except Deeney, but I am able to see that as just a bit of banter as an ex-bluenose), and it would not add to the hurt when/if we are relegated if they stay up instead of us. Looking at their forum they are off course pissed off (and rightly so) by the VAR-situations in two of our recent games. Not sure they know how bad VAR has been for us throughout this season though. Relegation threatened teams will always have many ifs and buts, and I bet that will apply to all teams fighting for their lives now. Maybe it all evens out during the season. Unfortunately, I do not think we will beat Everton. They have better players than us, except maybe in central midfield. The question is how Evertons reaction after the Wolves game will be, and how much confidence a win against Palace has given us. It doesn’t matter how crap Palace was, it will still give us some confidence. If we were to win against Everton, I would prefer West Ham to beat Watford on Friday. We would face a safe West Ham and Watford needing a result against Arsenal the last day of the season to stay up. I think this is the best hope we have, as I don’t fancy us beating a motivated West Ham which has goals in them. And then there is Bournemouth….phew, too much to consider….vital that Southampton get at least a point against them.
  6. I believe we should be able to at least reach the playoffs with adding 3-4 players. I also believe AEG is good enough for the Championship. Samatta and Wesley should be able to do a good job as well, but they are still unproven, and it would be madness to expect promotion without a proven striker. I would also add a creative midfielder to our shopping list. Heaton Guilbert Konsa New CB Targett AEG Luiz McGinn Naka/Houri New winger Samatta/Wesley/Barry/New striker It doesn’t have to be a big rebuild this time, and hopefully Luiz and McGinn will stay as well. Financially it’s not the right time to sell them. Luiz is just showing his potential and no one will pay what we want for McGinn right after his injury, and the owners should realise that as well.
  7. 3-5-1-1 with ElGhazi and Targett as fullbacks/wingers?
  8. Hehe, lets get this place (Hawthorns) rocking.....with flags lol
  9. Nottingham and Boro had a good defensive record before they met us as well, hopefully we will do some damage to Sheffield Wednesday as well.

    AVTV 2018/9

I am really struggling to find which games they are showing live for international subscribers. Will they show the match on Wednesday against Nottingham?
  11. Hause looks seriously crap. His passing and ball control not good at all
  12. Saw Brentford-Blackburn live a few weeks ago. Really impressed with Benrahma. Many good players and think we will struggle today.
  13. Aston Villa and Sheffield United
  14. I just wonder with his rumored injury if he will be able to jump around when defending or if he will be a Hause of pain?
  15. Yes, but we are no 1 in terms of our fans, and it’s more important now than ever to support the team. Our time will come again!
  16. So disappointing again. Not creating enough. Let’s see what moral lies in this team now.
  17. Anyone with the qpr lineup? Fearing Eze who I believe is a good prospect. Tore us apart last season. Read on a qpr forum that he needs a rest, so here is hoping that is true.
  18. Great lineup considering things
  19. Hopefully Adomah is back in the starting 11 for this one. I feel he contributes more defensively, and playing both Kodija and Bolasie is giving the defence too much to do as shown in the Leeds match. Would use Bolasie as an impact sub for this match.
  20. Big blow if Grealish is out, but the thing about us now is that we are no longer a one man team. If one has a bad day, others will step up. Grealish, McGinn, El Ghazi, Bolasie, Adomah, (and the scottish Cafu ) are all players who the opposition must be aware of. And to add to that, we have Kodija and Hogan as possibilities from the bench. Yes, our defence might be a big fragile, but we have kept a clean sheet in about half of the matches with Dean Smith in charge. Us supporters would rather have this style of play and ship a few goals than what we have been used for many years now. Watched Stoke live a few weeks ago. Good players and solid team which works hard. Seemed to play well in patches of the game, but also patches of the game in which they seemed to switch off. McClean works very hard up and down the left side, and it will be a good battle with whoever plays for us on that side. Dont think we will lose, but fear a typical Gary Rowett draw. Only a win is good enough in our situation though.. 2-1 Villa McGinn, Abraham, Allen
  21. Good luck! Know how you are feeling. Me and my mate coming over from Norway for our first derby match as well.
