  1. Oh man. This is a bummer. I’ve got my PS2 set up in the bedroom on a new 43 inch TV. The PS2 games I’ve tried work fine with the HDMI-to-old-PlayStation-connection lead I bought. Me and my wife were looking forward to a game of Destruction Derby 2 (PS1) that I got off eBay, and it’s not working. The PlayStation loads like normal, and the game even starts to load (the PlayStation logo and sound comes on), but then there’s a white loading circle before the TV says ‘No Signal’. I’m guessing the TV isn’t agreeing with what the game wants to play. Graphics wise. Does anyone know any fixes for this? Edit: https://youtu.be/orfE_zx-LHk
  2. I saw someone on twitter say Southampton had one just a few years ago.
  3. I’ve already got triple LFC, Salah, Trent and Jota. But I actually think Jota isn’t going to play as much as the others.
  4. I’m not one to knee jerk react. But it’s 40 minutes after the announcement and I’ve just brought in 2 Man Utd players, with minimal planning for the blank gameweek, and took my total transfers this week to a -12.
  5. Christ. That’ll teach me for doing my transfers early. Now I feel like have to spend some points to get a Man Utd player in.
  6. I got 40 points from 9 players this week. Overall, not a terrible score, considering. Son, Christenson & Mendy really saved me. I’ve finally bitten the bullet and got Ihaenacho in!
  7. I can understand footballers (or anyone with obscene wealth) investing in property. The rental income looks like a pittance for them (which it is), but then the property is still a £50k-£200k asset that they can sell off if they need to, should the management gigs dry up or they have a financial disaster like their failed plan to become the next JK Rowling.
  8. A birmingham-born Man Utd fan I know said that the protests weren’t just because of money been taken out of the club, but also because of a lack of communication with the fans, putting prices up and the super league thing. I’d love it if the Glazers just thought “f*€k it!” and sold up, giving the club to 51% fans and 49% to some average owner that’s willing to give the fans majority decisions. They’d be begging for the Glazers again when the following season sees them spend £30m on transfers while doing these, apparently much-needed, ground renovations.
  9. The Killing is up there with my favourites. I really enjoyed those 3 series. I didn’t want it to end.
  10. I feel like there’s a lot of hype about it. Like A LOT. If it’s as good as you say, then great. Me and the wife will surely watch it at some point. So as long as we avoid spoilers then I’ll look forward to it. Until this year, though, when the buzz around it on the internet is reaching unbearable levels, my only exposure to it has been the little clips you see on Gogglebox, and from that (I know it’s not much to go on), it just looked like every other british drama that they watch on Gogglebox and look shocked about. Apart from a few twists and turns, I didn’t see what what so great.
  11. A terrible week for me. Losing places in all my leagues except for 2 small ones where I’m miles ahead at the top (@Paddywhack tee hee). 38 points. Not helped by me taking a gamble and captaining Trent.
  12. My reason for putting it in this thread is more because I’m not watching it and don’t see the appeal. It looks like The Bill.
  13. I’m getting an extension on my house soon. Any tips, recommended builders or discounts appreciated We have the plans in progress as one of our neighbours is an architect, and he’ll submit planning permission/regs etc. But after that, we have nothing arranged. Two storey extension, across the back of the house and wrapping round the side on the ground floor. Kitchen to be bigger, boiler moved, bathroom moved, 2 new bedrooms. I’m guessing it’ll cost about £5,000.

    Keinan Davis

I don’t want to exaggerate, but he’s the best striker on the planet.
  15. Just finished Love and Monsters on Netflix. I really enjoyed it. A fun, end-of-the-world monster movie, fair amount of funny bits, lovable dog. What’s not to like?! 8/10
  16. I gambled for Trent captain. Looked to be an okay pick until the 96th minute.
  17. - RB & LB backups: In the mould of James Justin. Lower league, potential, young enough to improve, but not bank-breaking. Probably £5-10m each. - Winger: Top quality, £40m+ price tag, someone to add really quality to our front line. - Creative attacking mid: Top quality, another £30-40m+ player. Someone to rotate with Jack or play alongside him/ out wide or deeper against weaker opposition. That’s what I’d be going for. I see a lot of people are asking for a new DM, and maybe I’m being too optimistic/naive, but I think with better attacking options to put us on the front foot more often, our central midfield options of Luiz/ Nakamba/ McGinn/ Sanson/ Ramsay will be fine.
  18. Bringing Rodon in for a -4 for the double has gone spectacularly Screw you guys, I’m going home.
  19. My planned switch was Mendy to Leno in GW 35, but I think I was definitely looking at Arsenal’s fixtures over the fact that their defence is actually pretty shaky.
  20. Bloody Tuchel roulette! It’s like having two Peps. Luckily, I think the time of us all owning Chelsea players is coming to an end with their fixtures turning slightly.
  21. I could do with the evil Super League Chelsea keeping a clean sheet tonight. I made the mistake of picking Salah and Jota from my Liverpool 3. Rudiger and Christensen both getting clean sheets would make up for Trent’s 8 points on the bench.
