Master stroke from Wenger today by picking Walcott ahead of Giroud. Walcott's pace and movement were too much for Vlaar and Okore. I'd still keep Ron if his wage demands are sensible. It would still be hard to replace him, despite a poor season overall.

Don't agree with the scapegoat comment. Even in his 'good games' since Sherwood's arrival, he has still been bang average imo. Today he couldn't even manage that. My biggest criticism of Sherwood since his arrival is that he can't see this guy is stealing a living from us.

From the camera view behind the shot, it went left first, then right. Given went with the first 'swerve' and was totally wrong footed. It was the footballing equivalent of a swinging Jaffa from Jimmy Anderson. He had no chance.

Tried to recreate the semi final. Partly let down by his players, but Arsenal are, quite simply, on a different level to Liverpool.

I got to play on the hallowed turf of Villa Park today I'd say it was the greatest day of my life, but the wife and one of my kids are currently in the room, so let's just say it was ONE of the best days!

I think you can have a great film in any genre. I think people should judge each one on its merits, rather than lumping them all together and assuming they are all the same. As you would with any other kind of film. Some are good, some bad, some great etc. TDK is a great film IMO and being a Superhero/Comic book film shouldn't detract from that. I think part of the problem is people dismiss the source material, which is a shame. Some of the story telling and writing in comic books is superb.

I'd go with the Avengers (1&2) being about on par with BB, but TDK/TDKR are on a different level. The Avengers, like most of the Marvel movies are great fun and superb entertainment, but Nolan made brilliant actual films with those two, TDK in particular.

I'd say yes. It's not the best thing you will see, but it's decent and the kid who plays Norman bates is very good. If you have got loads on the go, then might be worth waiting until your pickings are slimmer, but if your looking for something to fill a gap, then it'll do the job.

I was on a stag do there once and convinced a lad he could jump the canal (he'd consumed a punnet of the things). I bottled it and stopped him at the last minute though, just before he started his run up. 20 mins later we had to take him back to hotel and put him to bed.

The fact that weed in particular remains illegal, whilst alcohol and tobacco are not is, without doubt, one of the daftest things ever in the history of daft things. Not one single fact supports this stance. Not one. At least America appears to be finally waking up on the issue, which means our spineless government might actually start looking at it properly and not hiding beyond some kind of moral rhetoric.

Yeah I really liked it. I've watched the second one now. It is really well made and the two leads are very watchable (especially her!), BUT it's very slow imo. Lots of filler, needs more killer.

Mat Dillion was a let down, but there is potential there I think. Agree with Ponky though, hopefully it will be a nice, neat one series wonder.

Always forget how much I love 'A league of their own' until it comes back on. There's nothing like it for LOLZ Redknapp and the cinnamon had me absolutely crying.

Exactly this. We are a bang average premier league team with a couple of really good players. Sherwood is setting us up to 'go at' everyone we play. With that mentality, we will occasionally get caught out. Badly.

Just said it in the match thread, but worth repeating here. This kind of result will happen from time to time with the way Sherwood sets us up. It's the price you occasionally have to pay.

Never in doubt, it was just posturing from Lynch. Can't wait. In the meantime the 'poor mans Twin Peaks' has started - Wayward Pines. Anyone watch it? I think there is potential, but I thought Matt Dillion was a bit shit. Not sure if it was the script, but it was daytime TV soap opera acting.
