  1. Huge lack of mental strength. They are literally getting themselves out. Starc and Johnson are as good as it gets, but so is this pitch and it will only get harder on quicker ones.
  2. Hasn't played since he was told he had no chance of playing. Again. It was tongue in cheek, but seriously, it still pisses me off, especially when the top order is, let's face it, a bit turd. He who shall not be named isn't really an opener, but he would be a huge improvement on Lyth.
  3. I'd get that South African fella that nobody likes to open if it were me! I get what people are saying about chopping and changing, giving people a chance etc, but sometimes it can be quite clear early on that a player isn't cut out for it. If we want to be back up there with the best, they need to do something, because this top 4 cannot carry on as they are. It's going to cost us the series imo.
  4. There is a championship manager feel to the whole thing right now. It's like when you start a new game and stick all of your players on the transfer list, then buy a whole new team. It's shaping up to be possibly the most exciting summer window we have seen, but on the other hand, is isn't Champ Man and rebuilding a side stripped of its better players, in one summer and hoping they all work out is one unbelievably big task. Even bigger when you are a pretty inexperienced manager who hasn't previously signed any players. It could be a brilliant summer and season, it could be an absolute clusterf**k. It won't be dull.
  5. Apart from Delph, I would have thought things are pretty much as expected right now? If he doesn't get given the full income and then some to spend, then there might be some justification, but if he walked now, he'd struggle to get another job anywhere near as big as this (in every sense).
  6. Naah. He's gonna have about £50-60m to spend over the coming weeks. Despite the fact we have lost some of our best players, it's still a load more than he would get elsewhere and a chance to really put his mark on the side. Personally I think the task might be too big for him, but I don't think he'll walk out on it early.
  7. Yep. One statement saying you love the club then trying to leave is one thing, doing it twice is another matter. I can't believe it's just another 'change of heart' and he's leaving for the same terms he turned down. There has either been a bust up or they have chucked even more filthy lucre at him.
  8. Bizarre behaviour. Something must have gone on this week.
  9. Are you joking? Did you watch it? He looked really good. Take another look at the spelling and the post above. I think you might find it's a little fishy. Ha, I just thought he codn't spell... I almost took the bait too if I'm honest! I nearly roete a response then reelised he was trying to have me in the net.

  11. He's got some job on his hands here now. I fear for him, for all the bravado, he must be thinking WTF have I got on here. Whatever your view of any individual player, losing Cleverly, Vlaar and now Delph are huge blows to an already average squad. I'll be pretty amazed if Benteke is still here come the end of August too and that could be the final nail in the coffin. We've lost two of those for nowt and one looks to be going on the cheap. Even if we get the full £32.5m for BC, that's just over £40m in, which won't cover the cost of adequate replacements, let alone improvements in other areas. Even if he is given the cash to do it, buying so many first teamers and getting them to integrate all at once is going to be hugely difficult. Koeman managed it with Southampton, but these are more difficult circumstances.
  12. Behave yourself Zatman, he's twice as good and half again as those two put together!!! We all feel let down, but that's like getting dumped by Mila Kunis then calling her a minger.
  13. Set up nicely now. If we bowl right and the weather holds, we should win this. They need to do something about that top order though. We can't go through the series losing our first 3 wickets for not a lot of runs.
  14. Urgh, what a big pile of turdy turd. Benteke going will be the spunk sauce on a shit sandwich after this. Not quite as bad as when Milner left, but close. A massive loss.
  15. Get in there Chris Wood you little beauty! What a cracking couple of shots. Lyon's face is a picture. Great game this.
  16. I think we have a potential problem with all the top 4 to be honest.
  17. He bowls to the leeeeeeeeeeefffft, he bowls to the riiiiiiiiiiiigggggggggghhhtt I love it, but it's a bit early for that. Don't poke the bear.
  18. ROOOOOOOOOOOTTTTTTTTT Almost drags one on his stumps and just shrugs his shoulders at Johnson. Love it.
  19. Ballance is not enjoying facing Johnson is he!?
  20. Had a feeling our openers would find it tough. That won't have done Bell's fragile confidence any good either. Have a bad feeling about him in his series.
  21. Wrong port. Every episode of this series has been awesome!
  22. Did he try and put his willy in the sexy robot's docking port? He DHUTWP

That's a constant theme across most governments too. Spend loads of money on research or advisors, then ignore anything that comes from it unless its a vote winner or suits those in charge.
