  1. ^^^^ Note to self: Do not EVER make Ahamaad 'the poisoner' mad.
  2. I wouldn't and I support the penalty.
  3. True again it is a grey area. But again if they have wilfully molested/killed a child and they are sentanced to life imprisonment then what purpose does it serve for them to be locked away and not killed?.
  4. Like the Guildford Four and Birmingham Six? I can see your point. It is a very difficult subject and not one that can be easily debated on a mb. For my part I would support the re-introduction of the death penalty however, there would need to be strict guidelines in place. I would only support it in cases where the evidence was 100% accurate and backed up by solid forensics etc. Not circumstantial evidence or witness testimony. It's just my opinion, if accuracy could not be guaranteed then I would not support it . I just can't justify in my own mind that convicted Paedophiles and child killers should be allowed to live.
  5. I don't know about the methods but, I am for the death penalty in cirumstances where the verdict is beyond doubt. murderers and sexual criminals deserve nothing less.
  6. How would you go about Convincing the club (Ellis) to do something like this?.
  7. Voted yes. Wouldn't be able to afford many though.
  8. Well said mate, some people on here have forgot what supporting Aston Villa is all about. 1982, why do you keep going down this route?. Why do you keep suggesting that people who are critical of our chairmans policies are 'forgetting what supporting Villa is all about'?. Fwiw I have my season ticket, I love going to the match. On the day of the game is all about the Buzz of the match, I go and sing, shout and support my team throughout the 90 mins. But that isn't what it's ALL about. It's because I love and support my team that I want us to be the best, I want to support a team of quality players really competing in the best league in the world. ok, forget Chelsea and Manure as financially they are on a different planet at the moment. We still could get up there and compete in the top four but, we are being held back, on and off the field. We are a massive club in terms of Stature/Stadia/Fan Base/Tophies in the cabinet, we have a stadium capable of seating over 40k, we apparantly have no debt, We have one of the smallest wage bills in the Prem and we have considerable land assets in the local area. Does it not concern you that despite all this we cannot compete in the transfer market?. Does it not worry you that a few weeks ago Ellis was talking about being a 'major' player in the transfer window and now we are scratching around for cheap players that can't even get in there own first teams?. Do you not worry about where all the money is going?. Do you not worry that if we cannot compete why are we not doing something about it?. As a true supporter why don't you want more for your club?
  9. The argument about the smaller clubs being able to hold onto their players doesn't really wash either. most of them complain that they cannot sell to raise funds when they need to. Also if a player because unsettled/wants away, you have to wait up to 6 months until you can get rid. It serves no purpose imo.
  10. We might not have been 'world beaters' but we were CHAMPIONS OF EUROPE. I would settle for that again.
  11. Havent the Bristol City fans got into the chart at number 19 with barely any sales of a song they have recorded???. I think so, and I heard it last week. It's truely awful. Still it got them some publicity though.
  12. I am saying a combination of various actions over a decent period of time. All the ideas are good as is the current letter/email campaign. Easy to say on a message board but I would happily attend any organised event.
  13. If he had actually took a back seat and allowed Langham to do the day to day then yes, as I would have thought things would move smoother and quicker with him out the way. As it is no.
  14. True about the stats. I just find it hard to understand how people rate players on this board at times ( this isn't a dig at you personally). I mean on one hand everyone is saying "we must sign proven Premiership quality" but then say that the likes of BT and Yakubu are not good enough.
  15. Still Lancs you must admit his strike rate is impressive none the less?.
  16. It could be any number of things. 1) Berson. As Lex said he is beginning to show form, he may also have now made it clear to DOL that he definately wants to stay and fight for his place. It could well have been that we looked at Faye incase Berson decided to up sticks. 2) Only X amount is avaliable and DOL can now see it better spent elsewhere. 3) Another player has suddenly become avaliable that DOL didn't think would be and has now decided to switch targets 4) Ellis has told DOL there is more in the kitty than he thought so we are going for a better player ( yes I know this is highly unlikely) 5) Boro Gazumped us 6) Ellis doesn't really want to sign anyone 7) He failed a medical 8 ) Dol met him and didn't like his attitude. Personally I am going for a combination of 1, 2 and 3
  17. 'Teachers' for me. Been my favourite programme for a couple of years now. Very funny.
  18. Beef curtains are my dish of choice.
  19. ^^^ Not his fault he is injured though is it?.
  20. How about a musical memories thread then?
  21. Spoken like a true musical connoisseur I like the High Fidelity 'top 5' thing - that's a great way of listing quality tunes from different genres and eras.
