I wouldn't say he's bad, exactly. Just pointless, redundant, supernumerary and unnecessary.

Looked threatening in bursts, but forwards aren't getting the job done, Cleverly and Westwood together is pointless, Delph was pretty good until the last 30 minutes then dropped off badly and we never should've given up the goals that we did. Gil looked outstanding again, Okore and Clark were decent, Sinclair looked direct but clearly needed to play a little smarter against Ivanovic, but at least he was going for it. Benteke just isn't up for the fight.

Was due to be back around now, but had some kind of setback in October (also in training, iirc!). Had to have another surgery.

Yeah, I can't blame him for the goal. I thought it was a bad spill at first, too, from the wide angle view in real time, but he was actually wrong-footed by the deflection and had to get whatever he could on it.

I wasn't terribly worried by our previous losses due to who we were playing. Rather concerned now. A couple injuries and the squad is suddenly looking thin, a number of the players on the pitch don't look fit or sharp enough, still plagued by poor decisions (especially in the final third), midfield balance is way off, even though Sanchez was improved for most of the match.

We have played Stoke, Newcastle and Hull - two of the games at home. These three teams scored 45, 43 and 38 goals last season. Let's wait until we have played some proper teams over time before we start celebrating our acquisitions? Can't agree with that. Our problem during Lambert's tenure has not been our performances against "proper" teams.

I like the new kits. Favorite kit ever is probably that blue/black Nike away a few years ago, though, template or no. Wish I could've gotten one with Laursen on it. The one that looked kinda like an old baseball jersey was class, too.

People were saying previously that he wasn't learning English at Liverpool or something, what was he like in the interview, was it in English? Approximately! Sounds like he's been working on it, anyway. Seems fairly affable, too.

Moses has the physical attributes to be a good player, yes, but lacks the brain. Surely we don't need another mindless runner when we've been screaming for players with some nous and craft about them? I'd rather us keep testing out cheap players from the continent than pay for the loan (and presumably a percentage of the high wages) of a player who won't bring anything new to the side.

Esteban Cambiasso Isn't he getting a bit old now? Correct me if I'm wrong. But still, what a signing he would be. Nearly 34. It'd be... interesting. He's always made up for his lack of pace with positioning and game reading, but England is a LOT faster than Spain and Italy.
