  1. Toto Wolff literally came and said last week that if the punishment is relatively little they'll all start cheating. If Red Bull get a slap on the wrist they'll carry on cheating and just keep their advantage.
  2. Flexibility is a two way street. If you get it from your boss then I don't think it's unreasonable that your boss expects you to be a bit more flexible on occasion. That being said if you have to do things like book leave to go to medical appointments for example then I'd be inclined to work my hours and nothing more. I agree that covid has made things in the workplace more relaxed for a lot of people. However for the chap you knew, if the GM had just expected people to attend on a Saturday then he's completely out of order. If he'd offered something in return and kind of apologized about dragging people in during their free time beforehand then I can understand him being upset.
  3. I get some people are incredibly dedicated to their career, and it's all they have, but they shouldn't expect it from everyone. There's got to be a balance. And to be honest, I'm very much prejudging her on her choice of hero.
  4. But his stuff is obviously so much more important than what you're doing.... I know this is bad advice, but it's better to be difficult with people like this. They'll move onto someone more helpful then, and only bother them.
  5. It's the principle though. It annoys the crap out of me.
  6. People that book meetings for lunch time. They can see my calendar is packed, with a short 30 minute break most days so I can sort myself out a bit of lunch between meetings.
  7. I think the Tories are literally betting everything with the mini budget to stave off recession this year in the hope that the rest of the world recovers more quickly than us so we can ride their coat tails.
  8. Anyone know how this would reflect in seats if the election was this excellent?
  9. There's a true crime doc on Netflix about him, three parter. It's pretty good. Made with a lot of the people that he gave time to whilst on death row. A lot of tapes are played of his interviews. Much better than the awful "shockingly evil...." movie with Zach Efron.
  10. In bed most nights by 2200 but because I can't quiet my mind I'm awake for around 2-3 hours. I'll watch TV in bed next to my snoring wife until I finally doze off. I've struggled with switching off since I was a teenager. Up between 0530 and 0615 depending on what time my youngest gets up. Will have one or two days a month where I physically can't go on and I'll pass out at 2000, until 0700 the next day. Then always feel like crap the whole day through.
  11. Antonio Inoki, 79. Truly a pro wrestling legend, iconic in every sense of the word in that industry. Also fought Muhammad Ali.
  12. That's awful. I genuinely had no idea. I've just read he struggled with mental health issues. I wish anyone who is struggling so badly could get access to the help they need before taking similar horrific actions.
  13. I may be wrong on this, but in it's simplest terms wages have not grown at the same rate as the house prices increased. A lot of people would struggle to get on the ladder if all they could get was a mortgage of three times their salary.
  14. As many suspected, she's been cleared. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-shropshire-63063137 This is a dreadful outcome. I doubt this would have been the same verdict if the roles were reversed.
  15. My son's switch had this. Sent it back to Nintendo for a repair. Came back as good as new. Edit - All we needed was proof of purchase for Nintendo to complete the fix.
  16. Rupa Huq has covered herself in glory. After what's been a positive few days for Labour it's all going to be overshadowed by the stupid comments she's been overheard saying about Kwasi Kwarteng. https://www.standard.co.uk/news/politics/rupa-huq-jake-berry-keir-starmer-kwasi-kwarteng-labour-b1028459.html The Tory friends in the media are going to be all over this now, and it's such a shame.
  17. Incredible for the time it came out. First game I remember with real fluid character motion. Awesome setting and interaction too.
  18. That was 98 if I remember rightly. I've still got memories of Nii Lamptey and Joey Beachamp knocking them in all summer.
  19. In terms of hours spent, it has to be... Ocarina of Time (N64) Flashback (Amiga) Champ Man 93-94 (Amiga) Medieval Total War (PC) Wings (Amiga) Skyrim (Xbox multiple versions) Batman Arkham City (Xbox 360) Breath of the Wild (Switch) AC Odyssey (Xbox One/Series X) Fable (Xbox Original)
  20. On this occasion, I don't feel too sorry for Edwards. By all accounts his split from Forest Green was fairly acrimonious. Apparently held talks with Watford before permission was given.
  21. You know it's bad when even the Daily Mail are calling it a "schizophrenic" budget. If they're saying that think how bad it really is.
  22. At the start of last year I paid for a test to check my antibody levels, and because it was low a few weeks after having the jab my GP gave me another booster. The test results went on to my medical record so the GP was happy to do it. I'm having my booster next week and will get an antibody test in December.
