  1. I was commenting on your implication we can only work on one signing at a time.
  2. This is not how it works. Every window the same silly comment. As if the club aren't capable of making more than one phonecall at a time, but you know that surely.
  3. I had trouble sleeping and in hindsight I think you meant that the Tories don't tell the truth! I initially read it as you saying people posting about the Tories in negative ways were making things up. I'm sure a lot of people out there would still make that kind of comment, which I thought was bleak. But yeah I think I misunderstood
  4. Although the phone is definitely photoshopped this comment is bleak.
  5. He's one of our best players and should be playing for 90 minutes every game.
  6. Completely accurate! He didn't have time to go into all the shit things in Boba Fett, but he got plenty of them. I like the line at the end, 'Sounds like...content.' That sums Disneywars up nicely.
  7. Two premier league games ago he was pretty great.
  8. In fairness it's been like this since he signed. The obvious thing to say is he works better when we're on the counter than when we need to break teams down.
  9. I was about to say this. On the other hand I'm surprised when he passes sometimes! And look what happens when he does.
  10. I also feel the end of the consistently encouraging performances under Gerrard began when Phil began starting (often in place of Buendia too).
  11. Just what you want from him! (This is a joke!) With Coutinho now I don't really expect anything. He's most commonly anonymous. He has moments for sure but they aren't common, and Buendia is currently by far the better player.
  12. I think this was a YouTuber. If it wasn't him I don't want to ruin the joke but I don't think it was a bet (but maybe it was)! But it's on the YouTube to watch.

    Keinan Davis

Good luck Keinan. You're not dross at all. I think you're going to have a great career, and first team football is obviously essential now at 24. He's genuinely a player I've enjoyed watching and only wish the best.
  14. Ah noo! So Thanos was the good guy!
  15. This is an interesting and bleak read that matches the general, non-technical impression I had when watching the game. Our constant crosses were woeful. I love the one highlight that shows McGinn crossing to Bailey and Coutinho in the box with about six Bournemouth defenders around them. Truth is, I haven't seen us so lacking in ideas since Bruce. I'm sure similar things were said about Arteta too though in the past, and I'd love to see an about turn in performance as soon as possible. But that Bournemouth game was genuinely horrific.
  16. It's more to do with the number of posts you're making. It's quite the effort!
  17. It's just a bit disengenuous to say that considering what you said before ("Any positive performances under SG were a hell of a long time ago"). It reminds me of a similar complaint about him never playing Buendia and Coutinho together, which he did in that very game, two competitive games ago. You're on a crusade though so I'll leave you to it. For the record, I am leaning over to the 'he needs to sort things out quickly or time's up' side of the fence, but I just spotted that this discussion felt a little over-biased.
  18. Man City in the last game of the season was pretty spot on for 70ish minutes.
  19. I loved it when I watched it back in 2007 and rewatched it this Christmas. I actually thought this time that it had aged so badly and came across as stupid. Al Pacino is the worst cop—the amount of destruction he's directly responsible for is crazy. And then he's portrayed as some kind of god cop who can do no wrong in the dialogue—but it's so unsubtle. His scenes with his wife I remember as being pretty embarrasing. The script tries so hard to make him out to be the hero, but it seemed so forced. I have loved Michael Mann as a director and still really rate Manhunter, and I know Mann's style isn't ever subtle, but I think I'll leave Heat to the past unfortunately.
  20. I don't think this is true. Just a few off the top of my head from the previous few seasons: Potter, Arteta, Moyes. I'm barely trying, so I imagine there will be more. Then there's our own Dean Smith back in the promotion season. Plenty of people wanted him sacked as a 'failing manager'.
  21. You've got a very early bedtime.
  22. To counter this, for me it's all been pretty pants. The quality of the writing and directing is really disappointing. Obi Wan turned out cheap looking and dumb, and it and the abysmal Boba Fett dented the bit of positivity I had left over from the scattered good bits of the Mandalorian. All my opinion of course, but I don't think Disney have a hope of making anything good.
  23. We haven't even played a proper game yet! Doom.
  24. Gerrard made them sick because in Scotland his system used shit strikers, but here it won't work.
