  1. Yep, been there. When I’m sober it’s pretty easy to stay sober. Once I get on the ride though, it’s hard to stop. I’ve been able to control that urge for the most part, but I definitely know the “why not one more?” question in the back of my mind.
  2. That’s my take away as well. It’ll be very minimalistic
  3. I got that vibe when they opened the latest survey for only just over a week. Do you think it’s something we see next season on the shirts?
  4. You’re going to hate the badge.
  5. Which Leicester? There’s two in that list
  6. I injured myself trying to pronounce that word
  7. I saw this today and dug into it. Honestly, that is the single worst “design” of anything I’ve ever seen. I would be furious if I was an Everton supporter. How anyone could ever try to brand a Premier League club with nothing but a two dimensional geometric shape is beyond idiotic. Looks like something out of geometry class.
  8. Great, Trump has the nuclear codes in his underwear drawer
  9. Just embarrassing. Should get a suspension for it.
  10. I love it. Great twist on a traditional striped kit
  11. This is my view of Lake Superior from the golf course that I work at. Whenever I get stressed at work, I try to take a step back and think “I have a fantastic office view”
  12. They say that admitting you have a problem is the first step, glad you’re big enough to do that. I had to rethink my relationship with alcohol last year, as I was in a similar spot. My marriage and day-to-day life was suffering massively. I was drinking almost a liter of whiskey each evening. Was bad for my physical and mental health. I went months totally sober. Now I can drink beer comfortably without the same side effects, but will never touch hard alcohol again - almost ruined my life. You may think it awkward to quit drinking, but I expect you’ll be surprised at how understanding and supportive people will be of that decision. Keep fighting the good fight. There’s always things worth living for. If nothing else, the new Villa season is only 5 days away!
  13. I think you’re correct. Which is why, outside a couple of players (Dustin Johnson, Bryson DeChambeau), LIV Golf is getting players who are far past their prime or players who have no shot of ever winning a major. The players who care about their legacy and have an opportunity to still add to it will stick with the traditional tours. Rory, Rahm, Spieth, Justin Thomas, etc.
  14. So sorry to hear that. It’s a very tough battle, one I went (and still am going) through. You have to want to do it for yourself, which is sounds like you are. Making all the right decisions, even if they’re not easy. Keep that chin up.
  15. Well, a little more complicated than that. Their problem is now going to be gathering Official Golf World Ranking (OWGR) points. The PGA & Euro Tours give them out, both of which they are now banned from. LIV has applied for OWGR status to be able to hand out points, but they don’t meet all of the criteria (72 hole tournaments, cuts after 2 rounds, etc). Even if they do get status, they have to wait a year to hand out points. Without OWGR points, the world ranking of your average LIV player is going to plummet quickly. The problem is that majors hand out invites based on world rankings. Off the top of my head I believe the Masters invites the top 50, both Opens Invite the top 60, and the US PGA invites the top 100. So while they’re making a ton of money, their counterparts on the PGA & Euro Tours are earning OWGR points while they’re not. Which means their world ranking is going to sink like a rock and they won’t get invites to majors. Players (like Mickelson who won the PGA last year) with exemptions are fine. Most majors come with a 5-ish year exemption. But the players who don’t have majors in the recent past (which is the vast majority of them) are going to be dropped from the majors pretty quickly.
  16. Wow, tough choice. I’ll open door #2
  17. Give me European football. I don’t care if we’re playing TinyTown FC in Latvia on a Tuesday night. I want European football.
  18. Agreed here. Would’ve thrown in yellow until the relegation season
