I hope we get this one over the line. He is poo pooed a lot because he plays for Burnley, but he is a very good defender, and actually very good on the ball also. Would add experience, power and quality to the team for sure.

depends tbh, i agree as of now that he should 100% be our "no.6", but if we got Bissouma also, they could rotate the 6/8 responsibilities to give other teams something to think about, or at least the option would be there to make use of both in both the 6 and 8 positions as required. Heck, i could even see kamara in the central position of a defensive 3 sometimes, depending on who else we sign.

i dont, i was merely saying that i can see Tarkowski for right side, but not sure if Botman is actually on our list, as that might imply a Mings replacement. Just a thought/opinion.

wouldnt Botman be a Mings replacement?, as both are left footed (afaik - Botman does play left central defence?).

Best new signing (summer or winter window, loans count) - Coutinho Worst new signing - Ings (ironically i really like Ings, and think he is a really good player, but for the price and wages, i just dont think he was what we needed at all) (the only reason i didnt pick Tuanzebe, is that it was a loan, so didnt impact us long term as a poor signing where we carried the can for wages and a 5 year contract, for a really not very good player, he was who i put down first off as the worst signing, but i chose Ings due to the money involved compared to what we probably needed) Most underused player - Sanson Better manager (Deano or SG) - SG (this season) Best victory - 1-0 at Old Trafford. Worst loss - Watford doing the double over us (both of em), honourable mention to the 3-2 Wolves, and 3-2 Man City capitulations. Goal of the year - Ramsey's run and goal versus Norwich.

im a bit wary right now, i agree Kamara has the ability to be part of a first 11 that is highly competent and composed on the ball, but we still have too many players who cant control the ball for toffee and lack composure, so hopefully a couple more at least will come in who can really add to the composure and on the ball ability, as although i agree Kamara is an important piece of the puzzle, he isnt the answer alone i dont think!

Just listening ot the "For the Love of Paul McGrath" podcast, i saw the below comment and couldnt help but snip it over here lol.

Assuming Gerrard does want him to sign a new contract, what do we think the issue is? wages? guarantee of not being mis-used as a 6 going forward? Asking if he would be in the first 11 going fwd? (as McGinn seems undroppable?, and the other 2 slots are almost certainly kamara & Ramsey) wants to move to a "bigger" club? a bit of everything?

ye i dont mean both, i just mean we need kamara and one other quality midfielder, at least imo.

I think Bissouma, or Gallagher, would be the perfect final piece of the jigsaw for our midfield. I really hope we dont just stop at Kamara in terms of bolstering the middle of the park.

the 5 subs will really be good for giving our youngsters some game time, in the right situation.

those players, with a new striker also, would be a great window.
