  1. I understand where you are coming from, even though it is crazy to limit the growth (and existence) of the club because of nostalgia/personal experiences. I want to stay at VP before any alternative. It is unique. I just don't want the club to stand still at VP. We deserve a re-developed VP with modern facilities & transport links. If that is not possible, a new stadium becomes a real possibility. The club has to think of the next generation of fans too. This is just the naked truth. Other major clubs are planning to expand their offerings. If you are happy just to do nothing then that is equally selfish, stubborn and arrogant. It isn't change for change sake - it is to ensure Villa stay relevant in modern football and the club's heritage is well respected.
  2. I think I can safely say all of us want to stay at Villa Park, but we deserve a 21st century experience at VP. The club has to be viable long term too. Not wanting to change is dated and stubborn thinking. Precisely one of the reasons the council is bankrupt is because it has backed the wrong horses. Poor strategic investments decisions have finally caught up. It has failed to invest in it's sporting properties compared to the other major cities. This is precisely the time you back Villa - we are on the ascent to glory. We are the most successful sporting item in the City & West Midlands. A world class VP/ new stadium would be a beacon for the City/ West Midlands. Moving is the last resort but the infrastructure needs improving and enhancing.
  3. FA breaking their own rules and then expect to tell Heck/Villa how to consult with fans about heritage & badges/designs. The FA is a total failure on and off the pitch. Why were FAB running to these clowns...
  4. Archer and Ramsey are still talented players, unfortunate set of circumstances for both players atm. My point is Archer and Ramsey weren't with Emery's set up last season - as are KKH and Tim (they are training at an elite level). I don't see us lowering our valuation of players because of other club's bad coaching or injuries. It bares no relevance. If anything their (KKH & Tim) value will go up.
  5. Not a lot of starts but he is much more involved in the Premier League than Aaron Ramsey and Cameron Archer were. Plus played/playing in Europe. I think it is a reasonable price bracket for a young, talented, English midfielder.
  6. Nice. I can imagine a lot of the promoted clubs looking at Tim in the summer. If Unai wants to boost his transfer funds, could we sell him for around 20- 30 million?
  7. Guys, I'm not pinning my hopes on Jacob this season. I think he needs to recover properly and will be much stronger next season hopefully.
  8. So potentially Betano becoming training kit sponsors?
  9. I think if this regulator is brought in on the premise of a Portsmouth or Leeds then it is far too late, plus the Premier League has adapted well to that situation tbh. I don't like this unfair narrative that everything is bad in football, I don't buy it. They need to get a grip on the EFL more so than the Premier League. How has bad ownerships been allowed to flourish in the EFL? I think fan ownership (funded by this Premier League distribution deal) would make sense to overthrow bad owners. Look at Reading, sold their training complex to Wycombe recently - it is morally wrong. Wrexham & Portsmouth good examples of fan ownership too - fans get to vet and consider the people buying the club, isn't that far more valuable than a fit and proper test? It is very important the bill safeguards the lower leagues and makes it much more democratic. I don't want to see another Bury.
  10. Yes. It is disappointing. Sort of silly too - how did he become a 100 million player if it was so bad for him here? It is a team game.
  11. This. Didn't some Citeh player(s) say Jack was held back at Villa? Certainly did well to become a 100 million pound player here if so. "Hi Jack, it's Moyesy...." Jack will be on loan at West Ham next season.
  12. The owners unhappy with Purslow's commercial work?
  13. FFS! I hate internationals.
  14. Does this logo work better on a shirt than the BK8 one?
  15. TBF to Heck - everything Heck has cancelled thus far has been replaced by better and bigger. Castore = Adidas, BK8= Betano. North Stand? Could it be a better plan/re-design?
  16. Ha. Love it. It is true though. Why do they (local journalists) always twerk for the national media narrative? Toney over Watkins by so called "fans". Grealish was constantly linked away by Birmingham Mail. Our top stars constantly linked away. I urge all Villans on social media to unfollow or block Birmingham Mail - tell them what we think of their rubbish.
  17. Butler loves the attention though.
