  1. Therefore there is still hope the north stand could get the go-ahead in the next twelve months. Why are the club bothering to undertake this traffic survey/plan if not for an expected increase in capacity and attendance? Or is it simply to improve the existing situation? The thing is - nothing has been officially stated about the cancellation of the NS project. I still have some hope they will complete the warehouse then start work on the north stand in 2025, they said in September Villa Live is still planned too. Maybe it will all happen in time? I suppose we will find out more in the coming months.
  2. So what is the current plans for VP? Adding a few thousands seats to the seating bowl, doubling the club shop in size, converting the academy building into the warehouse, establishing a better traffic system and waiting for news on the redevelopment of Witton Station. This seems to be the short term plan. The club have played a blinder getting VP as a Euro 2028 venue without the major construction that was planned (if the North Stand isn't redeveloped), which is very frustrating to me as I liked the ideas and the symbol of progress it represented. I don't think the pause is solely on Heck, I think it would have been delayed by Purslow or whomever replaced him too. Is it possible they will redevelop the North Stand before EURO 2028?
  3. Yh. I have seen that Forest have considered moving to a new stadium as their redevelopment plans are being hindered by local government.
  4. I don't like this thread.
  5. I can't believe he twerked for Toney over Ollie for England live on Sky. But now saying he wouldn't swap Ollie for Haaland. Indecisive Dan. You are in a prominent position in the media, use your voice to clearly get behind the bloody club and players. Drop the Sky Sports script! Remember the club that gave you a platform to have a career!!! You are representing us (villa fans) on Sky.
  6. I remember reading a few months back that Premier League clubs voted on softening the rules to owner related businesses too (in line with fair market value). You would think the club has a lot of space to grow commericially, especially with our new minority partners.
  7. Hmmmm. I remember being unsure about Ollie. But it does seem like he is peaking like Vardy at similar age.
  8. It is wrong. The rules only befit manchester utd and a select few clubs - im sick of it.
  9. Hopefully along with other commerical deals. You think they could be selling Villa Park naming rights to cover it?
  10. Nothing has changed, we must keep playing on and winning. UTV!
  11. How so? I think Purslow was/is a master of narrative - always on sky and talksport to add his opinion etc. The current lot are more bullish and stubborn more interested in numbers and revenue streams rather than communicating.
  12. Gabby now advocating a move to a new 70k stadium. 70k is far too big for this stage in our development - 50-60k is a fair range.
  13. That suggests we will most likely be considering moving stadium.
  14. The star is distinctive though, the lion and star can be our symbols.
  15. Would we have to adopt Birmingham? Probably be Birmingham AV like our baseball team.
  16. I have heard contrary stuff that Fergie was a Birmingham fan when he was younger and stood in the Tilton with his dad, I think Fergie is on record saying SHA were the bigger club or something silly (something that Dwight would repeat when he signed for Blues...). I guess Fergie wised up as he aged and saw through the crap just like he did with Rangers.
  17. Utd got really lucky with the Fergie appointment. Total miracle appointment.
  18. Shit deal by previous CEO and current staff? Yh "allegedly".
  19. Purslow got us Castore and the players were complaining about the quality of it.
