Hasn't started the season well at all has he? Cannot possibly get any worse. French international class player? Blimey! I'm looking forward to seeing if Ludwig is actually worse. Surely not.

I was of the view that Hornets fans think he's a one in five type player. Will be interesting to see where he fits in. Hopefully another midfielder coming in too.

I trust Chambers more than Konsa or Hause, so if we don't bring in another centre back, he and Tyrone get my vote.

It's where we were at the time we bought them. For example, when we got promoted, we needed to bring in a whole squad of players just to survive. We have moved on but many of those players haven't and whilst we would have loved to have signed better players back then, we weren't a big enough pull at that stage to do so. I am guessing that we also had to offer half decent wages just for them to come to the club.

Those comments from Gerrard tell me that we want a few more out first but will be bringing someone else in, even if that is a loan.

David Platt against Man United all those years ago, we beat them 3-0 at Villa Park. Peter Withe's wonder goal against the German outfit in that cup game. The winner away at Sheffield Wednesday in BFR's first game for us. Dalian's dance, Great days out as a Villa fan.

There should probably be the option of neither of them. They both miss too many chances and if we are to improve, need a more ruthless finisher. Will probably spend big money on a striker like that next summer.

He isn't ruthless enough to be a top scorer in the Premier league. He works hard but undoes some of the work with a poor first touch. He's a one in three game scorer and I agree that he was great for where we were but if we want to move up the table, we need an upgrade.

I'd like Gerrard to elaborate on his comment about the 'sticky moments' but I guess they are the sorts of things that stay behind closed doors.

If we are to give some of the teams in the top six a bloody nose, we need a more ruthless striker and another midfielder. I'm not sure who those players are but I reckon Gerrard thinks the same about the midfielder particularly.

With a full pre-season behind him, I hope he can now get through the full 90 minutes and not go off after 70 to 75. Top class player and we need him on the pitch for longer if we are to rise up to the European competitions.

He goes in with the outside of his foot. Nothing wrong with the challenge and if it had been that bad, the players would have kicked off. Young kid against a seasoned pro. Contact sport.

There is a whole load of players away with their country at the moment, so I wouldn't expect another top class signing for a few weeks. I am sure that the speculation will start to build this week and next but once players have had a break, we will bring in another couple. It's quite exciting waking up to the gossip columns, even though they usually chat shit.

There is a player in there somewhere, but he seems to be out of favour and has been with the last two head coaches. There has to be some reason why he doesn't play regularly and I suggest Villa will cash in if they get the chance. We don't get to see what he does, or doesn't do in training every day.

Heung Min Son eh? Well at least that would stop the bugger from scoring against us quite so much. Absolutely brilliant player and if this was in any way true, I'd be doing cartwheels.

I think he deserves a bit more respect than he's getting. He was Champions League with his club before he came to Villa. He wasn't quite good enough for us but didn't shirk and scored a few goals before that animal, Ben Mee completely did him with a disgusting scissor tackle, which has essentially ended Wesley's career in the top level of football. The victim here is Wesley. The culprit might be a little bit of Suso, but it most certainly is the animal named Mee.

I am told by a Stoke City fan that JPB was fantastic for them, a proper bums off the seats type when he got the ball, but could't stay fit. They would like him back next season.
