We have to build the midfield around him, especially the defensive elements. I hope we get a couple in this summer.

I love his hussle and busy side but we need better quality if we are to progress. Really frustrating player because he can be brilliant and hopeless in the space of a couple of seconds. With a couple of better players around him, I hope he finally lives up to the hype. Brilliant for Scotland.

Wonderful signing. Gives us a media darling. Hope we have another couple at the club over the summer.

Konsa is usually really reliable, particularly when the ball is on the floor, he's never been the greatest in the air but just recently, his positioning seems all over the place and he's making poor decisions. Sadlly, he hasn't moved on this season.

I think we will take a fair hit on his transfer fee Demetri, but I reckon you're right.

Mings has really tidied up his game recently and has looked every bit a Captain and an England international he is. Konsa on the other hand......

I am not suggesting we buy him but I think he'd be a decent player in a better team and I feel that someone half decent will snap him up if Burnley go down. He needs to learn a few things defensively but it a talent. I wouldn't be disappointed if we were in for him, although not sure where we'd play him. I can see him moving to the centre of the park.

Equally, I don't think we will be extending the contract until 2026. He has another two years left on his contract, what's the rush?

I wonder if we might bring in two DCM's? We don't have a habit of stockpiling players but if Nakamba was to leave, we'd only have Iroegbunam as the natural DCM. Ndidi is a good call as he is a very good player.

We really did need those three points against Norwich to settle things though. I can see Everton overhauling Leeds as they've got an easier run in. Between Leeds and Burnley for me.

Hopefully goes out on loan next season to a decent club so he continues his progress.

Gallagher is a decent player in an average side but will he be a good player in a good side, which is what we would be asking. Erm, when we are good, that is, and Steven Gerrard has spent the piggy bank. He's a talent is Gallagher but I hope we. are punching higher than him.

If we beat Norwich, hopefully we can push away and not worry about the R word. Sadly, I think it could well be the only game that we win for the rest of this awful season.

Cracking result. Hopefully, Arsenal put a couple more past Everton to help us further.

I remain utterly unconvinced by him, bit I am keen to see what sort of summer he produces and how we shape up next season. We have really obvious flaws and I'm keen to see if he identifies them and is the quality that Purslow thinks he's getting.

Brentford have played two games more than us and at the moment have more points than us. Let's wait to see how the season finishes before we say who is better than who. When the season ends, we will finish in the place we deserve to have finished in. Some teams around do indeed have some better players. Bissouma is better than what we have, Toney is arguably a better finisher than what we have at the moment. It doesn't make Brighton or Brentford better than us, it simply means that they have the odd player here and there that we'd probably like in our side. What you argument does show is that both of those teams are above us, so we need our players to live up the level that we THINK they should.

It is looking less and less likely that we will finish top half at the moment but we are so inconsistent we are likely to go and beat Leicester before losing at home to Norwich!

Perhaps better to answer that question at the end of the season, but the table doesn't lie. We have a lot of mid-table players at Villa, they are far too comfortable and being paid really well. It needs a shake up.

He was probably invited to the game by his friend Luis Suarez. I think the likes of Kondogbia are out of our league for the moment. Yes, Coutinho came, but was very out of sorts and is a friend of Gerrard's, so slightly different. I don't know a great deal about Kondogbia to be fair but am pleased that we seem to be out there looking for players, if true of course as the tabloids love a headline!

Seems to be snatching at efforts at the moment, like the two efforts described by Chris above. Should have buried both of those. Just not quite working for him. He is a quality player though.
