  1. It's weird. If it was on the news I don't think I'd think twice and I've seen worse on news shows (various wars or terrorism incidents), but something about twitter just makes it feel wrong.
  2. Love chocolate and peanut butter, great combination. Think of this everytime I eat it though.
  3. Shocking and very sad. Not overly keen on the footage being shared on twitter but oh well.

    Dry January

Our nice gentle walk turned into a 4.5 hour hike up and down very muddy hills whilst carrying a 4 year old for most of it. Was in no mood to cook dinner (planned a roast) after that so stopped at the pub. Their only non-alcoholic beer was Heineken so I'll be honest I caved and ordered a Birra Moretti. I've got no excuse for the 2nd pint mind. We go again tomorrow.
  5. Which creates a log jam of games down the line which the big teams can survive better due to better squads but also allows them to moan about congestion.
  6. One of my mates is an international sportsman and captained his country of 300m+ people to a World Cup. He was mobbed for his autograph and had young ladies begging him for selfies. This sounds impressive until you realise he captained the USA to the Bandy World Cup. A sport only played in Scandinavia/Russia with only 8 teams (I think?) in the World Cup and there's only 2000 odd Bandy players in the USA. Choose the right sport and you can do well.
  7. They have a lot of travelling fans who put in the miles as Plymouth is miles from anywhere. However they also have a lot of fans scattered throughout the country due to economic migrants. I had to leave Devon to go to University and get the level of job I wanted and know several people in similar situations. They play Crewe next month and I'm hoping to go to that one with my family travelling up (Tuesday night game doesn't help with that though).
  8. All at once? Remind me never to ask you to babysit.

    Dry January

Not sure if this would be helpful or actually a hindrance for you but previously when I've don't things like dry January or giving it up for lent, I've always allowed myself to drink whenever I wanted to and this freedom helped me not stress that it's completely off limits. However, when ever I did have a drinking day (work night out, stag do, or six nations game etc), I would always add two extra days (one for the missed day and one as the cost) on to when I could finish. Knowing I could drink if I wanted to but that I'd have to make up for it always let me do much better then cold turkey.

    Dry January

What's the thinking behind this thread locking on the 7th and not the 1st? Is it os people can discuss how they got on or does dry January not end until then?
  11. Argyle are my 2nd team having grown up in Devon and usually make it to Home Park for a game at least once a year. Absolutely fantastic result!
  12. Got to admire the dedication to do 190 transfers a week in the race to the bottom.
  13. Did my first session of the year and since mid-December. Feel a lot better for it, although suspect that the wrist will be sore tomorrow as still not 100%. Really struggled with the diet over the holidays so need to get back on it.
  14. Never been divorced and it's 15 years since I studied law so can't remember the technicalities. I would strongly recommend that you speak to a solicitor before you agree to anything, explain that you need some time but try and be civil (these things can be considered during arbitration). You have rights to things and don't need to bend over backwards to try and accommodate. I'd recommend not being too generous due to your daughter unless you're 100% sure you wouldn't regret it and be bitter in future (I've seen this happen). Also, get anything that is agreed (from either of you) in writing. Even if it's just an email to her confirming a verbal conversation. What I can add though is as a child of divorce and seeing the fallout of my folks. Whatever happens she will be in your life forever going forwards and being civil to each other will go a long way. Even if it's not for you but for your daughter. My little sister has a somewhat messed up idea of men and relationships due to the fall-out from the divorce and how bitter it all got. Take care of yourself but try and put your daughter first, it'll be a challenge but it'll be worth it and time helps with these things.
  15. Seems to be all over social media. Gave it a go today and enjoyed it (I got very lucky with two green on the first guess). Not overly keen on just playing once a day but oh well. Is anyone else doing it?
  16. Yikes. The lad has beans for lunch every day at school which doesn't help. He always announces it beforehand by bellowing as loud as he can that "I need a poo!" we've had some very strange looks from house guests when it happens. My wife then gets stuck there for a good 10 or 15 minutes as he demands she read him story after story. I'm glad that I ignored his screams and tantrums for stories when potty training as we're in and out in a flash and I can just about manage the stink.
  17. My son is currently sat mid-poo with the door open and again eye watering.
  18. I loved it and thought it was really good all the way through. Id happily watch it all again and have suggested as such to the wife as she hasn't seen it. Instead she chose to watch Superstore. Oh well.
  19. Great mid credits scene but I think I quite like the idea of the one they didn't film.
  20. Yeah figured I'd better go check the rules. Adds more weight to using the FH.
  21. I took a - 4 to ditch Salah and bring him in. If I FH now does it undo all my transfers and - 8 or do I just reset to what I've already done? I think it resets to how it was at the start (i.e. Salah back). Really tempted to just use it now. If anything else happens between now and then I think I will.
  22. If you were to time travel into your younger body but retain your current memories, what is the youngest that you could go and make it work to your advantage without just going insane? Late 20s, early 20s, late teens, early teens or even younger? The further back you went the more you'd be able to play the future and (somehow) buy Microsoft shares in the 80s etc but Alanything less than about 18 (late 90s) I think I'd snap.
