  1. “Oh as in the baddie from ‘Flash Gordon’? Yeah, I’ve heard it, good one though.”
  2. Ha well no, I suppose not. I did want to add that Elphick could step in too, would be more than happy with that.
  3. Zangief was much more straight-laced after his street fighting days.
  4. Bamford got booked for his involvement in the fracas. So did Hourihane. If Bamford doesn’t receive further punishment, which was sort of separate from the fight, I can’t see how Hourihane would face it either. For all we know the ref booked Hourihane for the punch/dig to the ribs. If the offer was El Ghazi’s to be rescinded, Bamford and Hourihane to have a two and one game match ban respectively, then I’d take that.
  5. Ok fair enough, the internet doesn’t appear to be awash with little compilation clips where Grealish has made sure he wins the free kick. And considering that seems to be the main gripe people have with him (and not his hair), I would have thought there would be more evidential videos posted by the people who dislike him and want to prove his fault.
  6. Strange that if you search for “Jack Grealish dive” there don’t appear to be many YouTube compilations of him rolling around on the floor pretending to be injured. You’d think with the wealth of material out there, one of his detractors would have felt the need to showcase his cheating ways.
  7. Swap Mings for Jedinak and I’m happy with this.
  8. They don’t look like the heroes mate.
  9. I don’t know about anyone else, but I sure as shit hope this new nickname doesn’t stick.
  10. So the Leeds manager thinks it was incorrect for the goal to stand. The goal scorer says it was wrong for it to stand (stating he didn’t know an injury had occurred). And it was offside anyway. With that in mind, along with the Leeds players wanting us to put the ball out when one of theirs was injured (and ignoring the Bamford incident), I’m struggling to see how Leeds supporters could believe it was fair that the ball wasn’t kicked out. For what it’s worth, I will say we were a touch naive, but our naivety was massively outweighed by the initial unsportsmanlike play that followed. The next time there’s an incident when it could be argued the ball should be kicked out, it will be mildly interesting to see what happens (in both Leeds and Villa games). @Cjay is a reasonable sort (for the most part ), probably understandably keeping quiet today but I’d be curious to hear his view on it, in his own time and when the dust has settled.
  11. Bamford was booked for his scuffle with Hourihane, not the El Ghazi dive.
  12. Leeds supporter on the right giving Tyrone a run for his money....
  13. We drew with Stoke, won the next ten, then drew today. Twelve unbeaten.
  14. Moral victories count, yeah?
  15. Reluctant to think about this in much detail as we don’t know what division we’ll be in. But if we were in the premier league next season, my gut feeling is that it would be another loan. There’s a question mark over his ability in the top flight and as such his value. Chelsea get to see him play against the top teams at a club he’s settled at. If he was a success at Villa (say 15 or so goals), then that would bump his price up, but I’d be happier spending £40m on a striker capable of scoring regularly in the top flight than £25m on one whom we’re not 100% sure on. To me it would appear to be the best option for all concerned. In the meantime, please hurry back soon Tammy and help make this debate a reality!
  16. More worried about injuries/suspensions than I am about the outcome.
  17. Yeah I know, but there’s bound to be one scamp who’ll say that it doesn’t matter cos we’ll beat whoever we face.
  18. Just as it may have some bearing on us later on, Derby beating Bristol City, Boro are currently losing to Reading.
  19. As per Blandy’s clever joke above lapal’s typically whimsical retort, he was a presenter on “How” and “How 2”, the latter of which is where I know him from. He can be seen now on freeview doing programmes about grisly murders.
