  1. I think it would put Boro out of the race too. Three points and seven goals behind Derby as it stands. Boro do have Rotherham, but Boro have only scored three goals in a league game twice this season. Pulis would have to break the habit of a lifetime and hope his old team put Derby to the sword when they don’t really have to.
  2. Any game against us is always a cup final for the opposition
  3. Wary of derailing the thread with non football elements so have pm’d. Come on Barca.
  4. There are a couple of videos doing the rounds, one is of an older man walking around very wet, clearly angry, he’s the one being called “Mr Miyagi”. Another video shows another younger man sat on the side of the fountain who’s pushed in. But yes I have seen it suggested that they could be workers/residents of the area essentially serving the supporters. A complete shambles anyway. I could kind of understand it if it was another set of Barca fans and it was “lads” banter between supporters. It would still be moronic of course.
  5. I’m running just over 5 miles (8km) about 3 times a week. It’s taking me just over 48 minutes, which works out to around 9 minute 20 ish seconds a mile (or about 6 minute per km). A month previously a mile was taking me 30 seconds longer. Under 9 minute miles is the immediate target, then go from there.
  6. Dickhead behaviour in Barcelona yesterday from the scousers. Pushing seemingly unwitting tourists into fountains. I hope Barca hammer them. Edit - oh and referring to one of the newly soaked individuals as “Mr Miyagi” Second edit - in the spirit of balance, also just seen a story about Spurs and Ajax supporters clashing last night. Unpleasant scenes.
  7. P E C ....find out what it means to me.
  8. So Derby need a win against Swansea tomorrow night to be virtually guaranteed sixth spot. If they fail to win then the final day will be very interesting. Derby - Baggies Hull - Bristol City Rotherham - Boro
  9. Perhaps, I think at the very least a manager who highlights it means there’s a chance it will find it’s way in the back of a ref’s mind when he’s making a decision. You hear things like how Ashley Young or whomever might not win a penalty because he built up a reputation for diving. It’s a similar thing I think.
  10. The force is relevant, in the rule you yourself quoted it says “excessive force”. Now I’m not saying whether what Hourihane did was excessive or not, but how hard it was does appear to matter.
  11. It’s just a manager’s way of highlighting to a ref that a particular player is going to be targeted and that it may be something the ref should be looking out for. All players need protection but some players are targeted more and as such will require more.
  12. Yes that is something I wondered about, if the player was consulted and checked for bruising or something.
  13. Based on the clips available, Conor’s a bit lucky imo. But I’m not aware of what evidence the panel have seen. Maybe there’s a view that shows it differently. Regardless, I don’t think it would have been more than a one game ban anyway and it wouldn’t have been the end of the world had they suspended him.
  14. “Oh as in the baddie from ‘Flash Gordon’? Yeah, I’ve heard it, good one though.”
  15. Ha well no, I suppose not. I did want to add that Elphick could step in too, would be more than happy with that.
  16. Zangief was much more straight-laced after his street fighting days.
  17. Bamford got booked for his involvement in the fracas. So did Hourihane. If Bamford doesn’t receive further punishment, which was sort of separate from the fight, I can’t see how Hourihane would face it either. For all we know the ref booked Hourihane for the punch/dig to the ribs. If the offer was El Ghazi’s to be rescinded, Bamford and Hourihane to have a two and one game match ban respectively, then I’d take that.
  18. Ok fair enough, the internet doesn’t appear to be awash with little compilation clips where Grealish has made sure he wins the free kick. And considering that seems to be the main gripe people have with him (and not his hair), I would have thought there would be more evidential videos posted by the people who dislike him and want to prove his fault.
  19. Strange that if you search for “Jack Grealish dive” there don’t appear to be many YouTube compilations of him rolling around on the floor pretending to be injured. You’d think with the wealth of material out there, one of his detractors would have felt the need to showcase his cheating ways.
  20. Swap Mings for Jedinak and I’m happy with this.
