  1. Their a joke, it's a war in Europe and they sit on their hands, politicaly. You can see why the pipelines were deystroyed, it was to stop the chance of a political collapse in the support of the Ukraine. I watched an interesting YouTube video of a UK national fighting with the Ukrainians. He spoke of foreign fighters joining the cause just to loot and the fact many East Ukrainians are pro Russian and give their locations away or guide Russian artillery, difficult situation as they get towards the Russian border. It's probably Russians relocated to the Ukraine but it is what it is.
  2. Watched this last night, good film, cheers.
  3. Nice write up on here, quotes from Emery on him as well. https://www.toffeeweb.com/players/profiles/Deulofeu.php
  4. Kosovo PM says Russia is inflaming Serbia tensions as Ukraine war falters Albin Kurti warns rising tensions only benefit Putin as ethnic Serbs set up road blocks in north of country https://www.theguardian.com/world/2022/dec/20/kosovo-pm-albin-kurti-says-russia-is-inflaming-serbia-tensions-as-ukraine-war-falters
  5. I see your point but the military aid from the EU is a disgrace, it's a war in our own back yard and we are relying on the USA to bail us out military wise and from a leadership point of view. I'm pro EU but this begs questions on the EU and it's lack of leadership. I'm surprised the Brexit crew isn't jumping all over it tbh and rightly so IMO. There's a storm brewing in Serbia as well , I just hope the EU doesn't stand back and let others take up the slack there.

  7. European leaders have really let the side down with this war, they have shown a weakness that Putin has tried to exploit. Without the USA Russia would have probably marched straight through the Ukraine and would now be knocking on Poland's door. It's a good job Trump isn't in the Whitehouse.
  8. Just a family ding dong, we have all had em and tbh I don't think anyone really cares apart from a few DM readers who are bored after their Brexit fiasco.
  9. *Slight smirk* A visa for the UK, if they are not accepted as a genuine refugee then are they sent to Rwanda after waiting 6 months in a center.
  10. Before we send anyone to Rwanda they have to go through the process of getting a visa, rightly so. If they are shipped straight back to France without this step then they have wasted their money and the risk to their lives. Their motive is removed. I'm not against refugees , we have helped cause the instability in the world that drives them. What iam against is the risk they are taking to cross the Channel, it's a disaster waiting to happen and the motivation for crossing has to be removed. If it isn't then (hopefully I'm wrong) within 12 months we will be reading the news of how 100's have drowned 10 miles away from our shores , this isn't acceptable to me .
  11. He did for Croatia, at least the games I watched . Perfect example of what Coutinho should be trying to do.
  12. Luka Modrić.....37, what a player.
  13. On the balance of the game we came out even and I think that's a fair reflection. The very fact we came back is an improvement on what has come before us, both Gerrard and Smith's teams struggled to change games once they had started. The ability to turn the tide in a game is a rare commodity and one thats an indicator of a top quality manager. We are improving but it's not going to be instant. Out of all the games Emery has been in charge this is the one that's shown us his influence the most. With Smith we had some great results and performance, less so with Gerrard but there were some....... I can't remember a game where we have started so poorly and turned it around so much over the space of 90 minutes.
  14. It's purpose would be to stop the dangerous trend of these little boats, the legality of it all would need to be looked at. France should agree to it to save lives the situation is going to end in more horrendous deaths. So far we have been relatively lucky but sooner or later the luck will run out and 100's could be drowned in one incident.
  15. The refugees coming over on boats.......we should have an agreement with France that any refugees using a boat should be returned straight back to France. Once this has occurred a few times the word will get around and they will stop using boats. It's only a matter of time before 100's are drowned if it continues.
  16. I see your point on seeing it coming, it was never going to be easy their desperate for points and have a decent squad and a fresh manager. I didn't predict the score because I didn't want to be negative. What I didn't predict was the the way we came back into the game, how often have we came back from losing at half time at home? Did you predict the second half come back?
  17. What a turn around , from being completely crap first half to making a right go of it second half. We showed character that's been missing for seasons. Bailey ....oh dear, confidence looked shot before that miss , hopefully he can turn it around. Motm, Ming's, nearly Konsa though. Wolves played well, their defence looked solid (not the keeper) and as for the lad that scored for em......glad to see him go off.
  18. He's forgetting the fact we have a shortage of maths teachers , although targets are getting closer to being met ...........the target figures have changed. A slight of hand relying on the poor mathematic skills of the electorate. PM’s ‘maths to 18’ plan must tackle ‘chronic’ teacher shortages, say experts6 hrs agoBy PA News Agency
  19. Pity Truss and kwarteng missed their extra 2 years of maths , we might not be in the mess we are now.
  20. It's all very sacking him , who are they going to replace him with when they have no money? Shame to see it tbh, looks like their on the same downward trend we went through.
