No restrictions on who actually plays. 8 of the 25 player squad in the premier league must be "homegrown" but it's all shite as all the foreign players qualify after being at UK acadamies for a couple of years, Cesc Fabregas counts as homegrown... You can also use as many u21 players as you like in addition to the named 25 man squad As for us / The EFL each matchday squad must have 6 homegrown players as part of the 18, From 18/19 this is going upto 7 and you will also have to name a "club developed" player. Again this could be a foreign kid as long as they have been on the books for at least 12 months by the end of their u19 season. The punishment for not naming a club developed player? only allowed 6 subs instead of 7...

Horrible. Fear of something like this has always put me off living in any sort of high rise building. I always try to stay on a low floor of any hotel for the same reason. Even living on the bottom story of a converted house in my early 20's was bad enough when the fire alarm would go off after someone would come home pissed & burn something on a friday/saturday night.

Yup all a bit underwhelming overall, Most of the really good looking stuff seems to be 2018+ and the majority of the rest is sequels/yearly updates. I think most games have reached the point now where it is very hard to be blown away by how they look as there are already so many good looking games around this gen. I am sure there will be some more gameplay vids out over the next few days as the show starts properly and people get a chance to actually play some of the games shown but it all just seems a bit samey. You know that most of the exciting/interesting stuff shown will also be shown at next years E3 and it is difficult to get enthused about something that isn't going to be released for another year or more. The Last Night stood out as being something that caught my eye but other than that my purchase list for the rest of the year is : Xbox one X, Wolfenstein II, Forza 7, F1 2017, Battlefront II, COD WWII, Middle Earth Shadow Of Mordor, Cuphead, South Park, Yakuza Kiwami, Marvel Vs Capcom Infinite, Life is Strange & i'll probably end up with Fifa 18 too A completely uninspiring list of which 99% is sequels

The oddest thing about the MS conference i guess is the release date. Here's our new console available on november 7th, Now look at the most shiny game we have forza 7, Available a month before on October 3rd so you will have already played/finished it before you get the chance to see how good it looks.... After some 2018 games & some ID games here's then next bext looking thing, Middle Earth shadow of mordor which you can buy on october 10th, again a month before you can get the most out of it. Now middle earth being multi platform i can perhaps understand not having so much control of the date but if you are making it such a large part of the show then why not come to some agreement with the devs to delay it a month. Can't see the scorpio being any less than £450 in the UK which will be more than double the cost of the 500gb S. This isn't a mass market upgrade, Not really sure how many they are planning on selling but i doubt it will be too many given that the S already does 4k upscaling and has a 4k blu-ray drive. If they hadn't launched the S last year and this was the first home console with a 4k blu-ray player i would imagine the interest would be much higher. Will still be buying one on day one because i like shiny things but there really is no sensible reason to buy one.

sony always seems to be around 2am. The weekend thing is a little weird, E3 is really a trade show and runs Tues/Weds/Thurs but as gaming is now so big/mainstream all of the big players have these big conferences a day ot two before the proper show even begins now. Show everything off a day or two before to the public then sell it to retail buyers for the next few days. Guess it makes the buyers job for places like gamestop/target/walmart a bit easier. If the see millions of people saying something is great on twitter then make sure you buy plenty, If people don't care/say it looks shite (sea of thieves...) then be wary
