unfortunately we still owe him about 3 million quid for next year. If he doesn't play a game other than the 2 derbies and scores in both of them it may just be worth it

Maybe this was his last hoorah after the England debacle. I think that losing the job so stupidly without having a proper chance to do it broke him a bit and the palace job was just way to leave on a positive note.

& therin lies the biggest problem. There must be hundreds or thousands of people being watched & monitored at any given time and multiple organised threats/potential attacks seem to be stopped before they happen (i doubt we will every know the true number/scale) but how do you stop a random nutter with a pressure cooker full of nuts & bolts who decides he wants to blow himself up in a public place

Given the events of the past 24 hours here is a video of a woman trying to "herd" 10 kittens to cheer you up Be warned, she has lots of other videos and i have just spent the last hour watching videos of other peoples cats with one of mine sat next to me giving me that " you know i'm a cat and i'm actually here rather than on the screen" look

Arndale evacuated this morning after suspicious bag found, luckily seems to be nothing and now re-opening but guessing there may be a few more incidents like this over the next day or two as the "better safe than sorry" approach will be taken for everything remotely suspicious

Not making me xenophobic, really couldn't give a shit what colour people are or where they are from but living in a small town it always seems to be something that happens in major cities so the possibility of something happening here never really crosses my mind. I suppose things like this just bring things closer to home. I have been to a dozen gigs so far this year at the LG & Barclaycard arenas and looking at my calendar for the year i have tickets to another 20 or so shows at the same venues along with a few in London. Guess i will be a little more wary and maybe a little more sober when attending future events

If you look at the video of everyone running down the stairs there seems to be lots of people milling about there (waiting to pick up kids?) maybe they have let people into the foyer/concourse to pick up kids a few mins before it was due to finish?

madness really, 90 minutes ago there were a couple of thousand tweets about a loud bang, 800,000 tweets later and still the only "real" info is that the police have confirmed that there has been an explosion of some sort and there are multiple people dead

no idea on the origin of the pic was just posting a link to the image being discussed. It was on twitter within a few mins of this happening, seemed to be dismissed as fake straight away but resurfaced again an hour later after the fatalities were confirmed. The sun have got someone there taking photos of the injured...

There were photos on twitter an hour or so back that everyone said were fake of what was clearly an explosion in/around a foyer with city room exit & metrolink signs on the door. Really didn't look good. Seems they may have been real after all

11 times the premier league has been won on 86 or less points, Including united in 92/93 when we were second and there were 4 more games then. +60 goal difference is quite rare even for a team winning the league, only happened 3 times Man city were +65 in 13/14 & +64 in 11/12, Chelsea were +71 in 09/10. Nearly every other team who won the league ends up on mid 40's - mid 50's.

maybe worded badly but that's what i was getting at. The kid is a sunderland fan, defoe is his hero, They seem to be in the papers doing something together every week, Surely Defoe moving to Bournemouth would have an impact on him/the kid and how much time they could spend together so would he stay based on this relationship?
