  1. exit polls had nuneaton as probably switching to labour
  2. come on............ 2 1/2 hours in and still only 7 results. Get bloody counting
  3. so according to the crazy haired bbc exit poll expert everyone is doing a bit better than expected. Very insightful
  4. labour chap in swindon a little premature in getting his speech out of his pocket there...
  5. looks like 2/3 of ukip voters have been voting tory & 1/3 voting labour. Could make quite a difference in some of the tighter places
  6. No dogs at my polling station, Plenty of people though. The constituency here generally swings back & forth between con/lab every 2 or 3 elections but con had an 11,000 margin 2 years ago and would be surprised if that completely swings today as the turnout here is usually around 45000. Looking forward to tonight, Despite not having a huge interest in politics in general i do enjoy following the results (& the US elections) as they come in and will happily sit up all/most of the night watching before heading to work a bit bleary eyed
  7. i have the 300Mbps internet and the stupid all singing & dancing every channel package, just done a speedtest and even now at peak time it still runs at over 200. Seems to be the only ISP that doesn't cap use and they really don't seem to care even if you are downloading1000GB+ per month. The quarterly statement they send is rather amusing sometimes when it says here's how much you have got from your virgin service : internet 5,800gb.. hehe The service actually reasonably priced unless you want the sports channels as sky sports (including BT sports) with the hd channels extra ends up costing another £40-£50 per month In the past 4 years i think it has maybe been down or had issues for 2 days in total The tv is what it is, Basically the same channels as sky but there are a few you will not get such as sky atlantic and even if you have the new 4k hub virgin still do not broadcast anything in 4k (no sky sports/bt sports in 4k) and the odd channel such as boxnation doesn't even have a HD channel .If you have the top package you also get a load of on demand box sets & stuff
  8. In the least surprising news ever it looks like Assassin's Creed origins will be announced/confirmed at E3
  9. It's a bit like asking if you would prefer to be kicked in the balls or punched in the balls. Neither is going to do you much good but hopefully one will hurt a bit less
  10. So..... Whats top on the twitter agenda this morning before the flood warnings caused by lily allens tears later... #Votelabour, nope #voteconservative, nope #dogsatpollingstations of course...
  11. how about this one to balance things out...? How radio stations can't even talk about the election but the papers (both sides) can do whatever they like is a mystery
  12. CCTV has now appeared, no pissing about, police out of the car & firing immediately.
  13. There were some leaked email yesterday from Abbott where she was replying to a hoax account discussing "adding some colour" to her ilness to deflect some of the criticism https://twitter.com/sinon_reborn?lang=en
  14. Seems he also worked for london underground including westminster station....
  15. As a newly qualified teacher you’ll begin on a salary of at least £22,467 - https://getintoteaching.education.gov.uk/funding-and-salary/teacher-salaries Fully qualified nurses start on salaries of £21,692 - https://www.prospects.ac.uk/job-profiles/adult-nurse The starting salary for police constables in England, Wales and Northern Ireland is between £19,383 and £22,962 - https://www.prospects.ac.uk/job-profiles/police-officer Think i would rather take £21,000 for cleaning a floor / sitting on a supermarket checkout
  16. Why would anyone want to train for years to be a nurse/teacher/policeman etc if you could get £21,000 p/a doing quite literally any job at £10 p/h. Their salarys would not suddenly jump by 30% to match everyone else.
  17. Raising the minimum wage to £10 p/h and huge increase in corporation tax will lead to massive unemployment.
  18. The thought that she could be/is one of the most powerful women in the country is just scary. I wouldn't give her a job stacking shelves in tescos
  19. The dafter thng is it is not like they are constrained by TV schedules for episode lengths. It is pretty much the norm that a 13 episode run on netflix will have episodes with as much as a 20 minute difference in length with some coming in at a traditional tv 43 mins and others hitting the hour mark or more. Would be so much easier to tighten things up and get it down to 10 episodes of roughly the same length trimming some of the guff in the process
  20. seems at least 1 was known to security services (arsenal shirt) and was actually in a TV documentary last year about British Jihadists. For everyone concerned about privacy/big brother watching etc i wouldn't worry too much as it appears that even if you are known potential threat, have appeared on TV and have been reported to the anti-terror hotline on more than one occasion it would appear that big brother spends more time sleeping than watching
  21. Can't really watch 3000+ people 24 hours per day can you & that number is from 2015 so would imagine it is much higher now given the amount of shit that has happened over the past 18 months
  22. Telegraph Online editior in london reporting explosions
  23. I started watching the new season of house of cards tonight, about 3 hours or so back i paused the episode i was watching to go and grab a drink, Came back and saw all this going on. Now resumed house of cards and the episode features terrorist/bomb threats at polling stations on election day. Hard to split TV from reality these days...
