  1. My phonetic description wasn't great but so far everyone seems to agree with me with the 3 syllables (Nor sure if Tony did or not) I'm struggling to find any examples to show I am right, apart from my family. I moved and went to secondary school in Worcester and don't remember anyone saying it any differently including some from Evesham.
  2. How do you pronounce Evesham? Been having a continuous debate with my girlfriend ever since she took the piss out of me saying Eve-esh-em. Insisting it was Eve-sham.
  3. I feel a bit guilty and bad, but there is a main road by me that you can't park on between 8am and 6pm. There is a car that is frequently parked there during these hours which stops you using that lane till your past it, which causes a nightmare when it is busy. They obviously live at one of the houses/flats on the road. After a shit day at work I was walking down the road by said car and there happened to be a traffic warden there. So I pointed it out. Just walked past again and there is a ticket on the car. I feel bad but I've also wanted to key the clearing in the woods's car for the last couple of months. Don't think I've ever grassed on anyone in my life.
  4. I first read it like that but I think they were just referring to the timescale of a deal being done-ish by the weekend as in The Sun article, I'd presume if it is all true, they are one of the 3 given permission to check over things.
  5. Just caught it as breaking sky news on Twitter but they are going from celebrity website TMZ
  6. It's usually the last to fill up though isn't it? It tends to be the biggest areas of empty seats. Mainly because it is top price, as well as being pretty high. Although it has a massive impact on those with season tickets, which is enough to make sure all options are considered but I think it makes sense.
  7. The @talkSPORT show with @StanCollymore actually started quite well with some honest views&statements.Car crash radio now though #AVFC #UTV which was true, despite thinking it was a decent listen to start with, it was ego driven throughout but got worse and worse as it went on.
  8. I joined his block list last night. First time I've tweeted him I think and don't follow him anyway so not missing much. I did actually compliment him as it started well but also said it turned into car crash radio.
  9. Along with 'false narrative' and 'stick to beat him with' these are some of my disliked phrases over the last few years along side 'pop up','craft beer','artisan' and 'street food' Unfortunately smokes and mirrors is exactly what it appears at the moment.
  10. Do Bernstein and King's resignation letters have to be made public? If not, that is a key indication we a deep in the shit, as they will have leaked them with purpose. The fact they have been published so quickly after a announcement would make this look likely anyway.
  11. Hollis is a weird one, I am completely in support of him doing what he does, and it is needed at this shambles of a club. As much as anyone though, he knows the remit of Lerner wants, was employed directly by him and there were long discussions before taking on the role. So unless Lener has completely overruled anything Hollis had put forward as well then he is part of this situation too.
  12. I've been fine with him playing the dross that we've had all season up till the point of guaranteed relegation. Now it has happened for the remaining games any bad apples and players we don't want here or won't be here next season should all be left out. There have been some first team players that have severely been let down by there teammates. I reckon there's some in there who would look like better players amongst a different group next season. Hopefully this is obvious to the club who they are, because I guess to fans, most appear as bad as each other. So ultimately the remaining games should be those who have given a f**k behind the scenes and some of the promising youth players. If this were happen I'd love that team to embarrass those that are not there, first of all in effort and passion and then if we got some good results it would be a bonus.
  13. That's spot on. I don't really have an opinion on who is next manager, well that's not strictly true, but there's no one I can say, yes that's the man I want in charge! Most my opinions of the candidates are negative ones. Of course there needs to be knowledge, leadership and motivational skills but a football manager's success is so much reliant on luck to do with the right man, right time, right club, It just needs to all click. Probably all experienced highly rated managers have failed at one or more clubs. Anyone one of these candidates could be the right man at the right time for us, so I'll just wait and support the new manager when he arrives. Whoever it is has got enough to deal with without fans questioning him from the start.
  14. Think it was Sharps that did a Cornish lager called Storm. I think they stopped doing it or at least rebranded it as I can't find it. It may because of being on holiday etc but it was lovely. Tonight I have been drinking Rogue 7hop IPA, The Kernel IPA (mosaic) and Left handed giant USPA
  15. Its an awful situation that is made worse because of the football side of it and its very difficult to make an argument when you've got employees of the club on ridiculous high wages and others about to lose their jobs. As it stands, it appears we have been run in a terrible way from top to bottom, on and off the pitch, in all areas of the business. Relegation or not I think it really needed someone like Hollis to come in and assess all operations and make sure they are being ran correctly and money isn't being spunked up the wall. When it comes to operations, I think you have to view it as a seperate business, you need to be making money and keeping costs down. Having one less player earning £50,000 a week might effectively help the books but it doesn't mean the business is being run any better. It probably isn't just the football side of things why we last so much money last year, we are a mess throughout. Redundencies should be a last resort, I hope Villa are doing everything they can to avoid it, and aren't just trying to take the easy option to cut costs. It needs to be right for the business, too few stewards, catering and retail staff etc and they are going to have shot themselves in the foot.
  16. Went to this today, I actually got on with her alright. It was a complete waste of time though, the salary is going to be less than what was advertised and less than I am currently on. Good job I didn't have to go far for the interview.
  17. I let my brother use my Spotify account. He has ruined my suggested artists section, with the fact he mostly listens to a load of shite. It is now suggesting artists similar to Adele, Craig David, Bieber, Ne-Yo and Westlife that I might want to try
  18. I've worked in places which have got rid of people easily but now working at a University it's a nightmare unless, it's a straight forward gross dismissal case. Even then it has to be done textbook. I suppose it is a good thing that workers rights are well protected, but you always have that waste of space that takes advantage and drags out the inevitable for as long as they possibly can.
  19. It's my Grandads house, the brother of his next door neighbour said he was interested a while ago if we were going to sell if my grandad went into a care home, which he didn't end up doing. He apparently is still interested but nothing more than that currently as there hasn't been an offer I haven't got a value on it. I also have no idea what his situation is, whether he owns already and needs to sell or any other possible factors.
  20. I have just started arranging a couple of valuations, but that's as far as I've got.
  21. Anybody have any advise or information on selling a house without using an estate agent? Having never bought or sold a house before, I don't really know the ins and outs of what an estate agent does, but say I had a potential buyer already how easy is it to avoid paying estate agent fees?
  22. Just been offered an interview, only to find that the potential new boss used to work where I do currently. I never worked directly with her but my overall opinion was that she was shit at her job.
  23. I like him and think he has the potential to be a good manager at the right club. Though as I said a couple of weeks ago, we need to have as little as possible of this season hanging over us next season, a complete fresh start and Remi going is needed for that fresh start. It doesn't matter who is next manager unless off the pitch is sorted as much as it can be under Lerner. Hopefully the things that are happening at the moment is the start of this.
