  1. Apparently its last seasons top. And lettering too. Which means Morgan had it made last season and has been sleeping in it ever since dreaming of handing it over to Trump. Makes it even better!
  2. I'm working my notice at work at the moment. My boss wouldn't let me use almost two weeks of annual leave I am owed to finish earlier even though I was due to move roles anyway and my position is covered so I'm working above template. There's no point in my being here, I'm doing the basics but because I'm an extra person all work was done by 11am this morning and there isn't anything else to do. I hate just sitting around wasting time, especially knowing I could be starting my new job earlier and learning that. Plus the guy who has taken my role has an incredibly strange sense of humour and is driving me mad.
  3. I was at the gym a few weeks ago and there was a guy lifting weights with some a grey tshirt, blue shorts and blue trainers exactly the same shade. I noticed he seemed overly coordinated for the gym. Then he turned around and on the back of his grey tshirt in big letters was 'BLUE SHORTS'. Because if youre ever in a rush and cant remember what shorts coordinate with your chosen tshirt at least it written on the back for you.
  4. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-42829555 It might be just me, but that doesnt really sound like an apology?
  5. I've seen a couple of films in the last couple of weeks. Darkest hour. Great film, a truly brilliant performance by oldman who will surely win awards. I wouldn't watch it a second time but that's no criticism of the film at all. Highly recommend giving it a watch. Three billboards. Reminded me of my first visit to New york. I'd overhyped it before going and it was briliant but didn't live up to my expectations. It wasn't that I didn't enjoy every second, just that every person and review I saw was fantastic. The lead performance is amazing (this month I've seen hostiles, darkest hour and three billboards and in all three the lead actor is fantastic). It's a film that will leave you feeling genuinely uncomfortable at times, angry at others. Backed up by other brilliant performances by Sam Rockwell and woody harrelson in particular. I don't expect it to be the best film I see this year, probably not even this month (hostiles possibly edges it) but it will certainly go down as a modern classic for its originality, deservedly so.
  6. Ive always said Wolves fans are hysterical!
  7. In total ITK style, a lech poznan player (Radoslaw Majewski, previously of Huddersfield and Forest) has liked a few of my posts on instagram including one of the fireworks at villa park. The others were of my dog. As ive never heard of him before today and Lansbury also follows him he obviously has been searching AVFC on there because we are his new club and everyone should now go and lay all their money on him signing.
  8. Ed Doolan has died now too. One more for the midlands folk really. Its 2016 all over again.
  9. That story is incredibly close to a friend of mine on a trip to Amsterdam we took a few years ago except it was a fast food restaurant, the waiter offered coke and he was in the toilets for what seemed to us (possibly experiencing the same time lapse problem this guy did) about an hour. Ive never seen someone go so pure white so quickly. It was equal parts hilarious and concerning. I lie. It was most definately mostly hilarious!
  10. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-42698562 Bizarre!
  11. Cardiff Vs Sunderland being the early kick off on sky. The stadium is almost empty, it was bound to be an awful game. Just why? So many better options in the championship today!
  12. I have to ask of the people who have said this shows the fringe players aren't good enough, we're you actually at the game? Because that result rests largely on Bruce! Regardless if you want to go through or not, if you're 1-0 up you see the game out! The guy is taking us nowhere. But I'm sure we'll get an injury and he'll fluke a young player coming in and doing well soon and the 'Where's all the Bruce out'ers?' will be shouted like it isn't a perfectly valid opinion!
  13. Absolutely livid about that performance. By performance I refer to Bruce! Yet again! Yet again we score a goal and we stop doing what we were doing. That team and the way they started would have gone on to win that game! But we just stop playing. Peterborough absolutely deserve that scoreline! Taylor is playing on ice and needs to bed dropped! Onomah is a disgrace and should be sent back. He is one of the laziest players I've ever seen. This guy should be playing out of his skin every week to impress people. It's disgraceful! De laet was solid and deserves a run. O'hare was just a step ahead and could really link up with hourihane and rip people apart. Hourihane bossed it for the first half hour but disappeared after the goal like every one else. Davis also looked positive. Green obviously not sharp enough. I'm just so angry at that game! It's taken the optimism of the 5-0 away and is so utterly predictable of Bruce. Had we gone on to score even 2/3 it would have been such a boost. He wont go, they'll give him the season no matter what. But my god we are wasting our time with him!
  14. Were you at the game? Taylor not good enough! Onomah not good enough! But those on the periphery? Let down yet again by an inept manager. That result had nothing to do with the youth not being good enough and everything to do with a manager who doesn't react, has no plan b, is too comfortable to score a goal and stop playing.
  15. Saw hostiles tonight. Odeons new recliner seats a great added bonus, most comfortable cinema experience I’ve had! A fairly simple plot, predictable in places but extremely well executed. Bale absolutely steals the show as ever, just perfect acting. For a lengthy(ish) film with a simple(ish) plot it’s very well paced. Definitely one to watch for the oscars. 8/10. three billboards is next. Can’t wait for that!
  16. A really fantastic result yesterday. Almost everyone around me looked amazed because i think the majority of fans thought we would scrape a win at best. I thought they were really poor. They obviously arent a poor side, their results this season tell you that. Just how much losing their keeper, the quick turnaround from the Wolves game and the effort that they needed to put into that game helped us we just dont know. I dont say that to take away from our result at all, several players (Grealish, Hourihane, Hogan) were fantastic, but it certainly helped. It has to be said that yet again bruce seems to have stumbled across a bit of luck in terms of injuries in putting the team out that he did. That doesnt take away from the performance, but why it cant be used as a reasonable criticism or concern is beyond me. Just as people who want Bruce in are basing their opinion on his record, what they appear to be seeing etc. and feel last night supports this, its equally reasonable who want bruce out to look on the bigger picture. If any fan is genuinely basing their opinion on whether bruce should go or not on one or two games then their opinion is obviously highly flawed. I doubt many are, that doesnt mean people didnt enjoy the result. It means people are looking longer term. The biggest boost last nights result gives us is the confidence in beating a team in the top six. Should we make play offs (yes, automatic looks possible but lets be honest has anything weve seen over the season as a whole suggested we can get there?) then that will be vital. But last nights confidence boost in that regard is pointless if we dont follow up on it. Bruce could go on to win the next few but it wouldnt change my opinion that he isnt the man for the job long term. If he got us to the play offs and won i would still want him sacked before we started in the premier league. Some people think thats ridiculous and thats fine, but nothing annoys me more than the 'Wheres the bruce out parade now?' that gets spouted whenever we win.
  17. My OnePlus is coming to the end of its life, more due to having dropped it too many times for it to handle and having two corners of the screen missing. The question is do i treat myself to the OnePlus 5T which ive had my eye on, or start looking into other chinese brands? Ive read a few reviews of the leagoo s9 but nothing clear on whether it will be available to order outside of china? Is OnePlus still the best value for money?
  18. Signed up for odeon limitless after looking at the films coming out for 2018, lets hope it isnt wasted money. Will start off with the greatest showman, not overly fussed by the trailers but seems as decent as most to watch and im convincing myself that because the prestige was great and this is also magic it will be good. A loose link but a link all the same. Saw Daddys Home 2 on xmas eve and it was on par with the first, good easy comedy to watch, a bit more cheesy overall and showcase mustve paid a huge chunk for their sponsorship in it but still enjoyable.
  19. I can't believe Detroit hasn't had a mention yet. Hands down film of the year for me, I couldn't fault it at all. Thor ragnorak was much much better than GOTG2, with spiderman homecoming a close second. Get out was good but I'm not a huge fan of that genre so I probably wouldn't watch it again. Justice league was as awful as expected. I didn't see dunkirk because the reviews made it sound like my worst nightmare. And I didn't see baby driver but definately want to. In fact going through the imdb list makes me a realise how many I wanted to see but never got round to watching. Next year I'll be getting the odeon monthly pass!
  20. Hourihane dropped for lansbury! Unbelievable!!
  21. Justice League. Meh! Just a bit of a mess. The dialogue at times was cringeworthy. The villain not great. The 'character development' almost non-existant. I'll stick to Marvel thanks!
