  1. Looking at getting a new car over the next month or so. Bit confused on how it works with trading in my current car though as i dont want to stick with the same manufacturer. Currently have around 1.3k 'equity' in it (bought it on a 5 year 0% deal, 15 months left to go). Do i part-ex it, signing over the finance deal for the new manufacturer to settle and then sell it on? Or am i stuck? Probably looking at Qashqai, Captur, Kadjar, Kodiaq or 2008. Hopefully you get an idea of the type we are looking at. The main thing we really arent sure on is buying a used one or leasing. Theres some great cars 15/16 plates with low mileage (20000 and less) for a good price but does that leave less flexibility on financing? If we were to buy it would most likely be on the bigger side of the cars above as it would be a longer term option. Quite happy to go for the smaller options if it is a good lease deal.
  2. Someone gives some stick about football a few times and he spits at them? Imagine if he worked in the normal world, he'd be spitting daily. What a disgusting piece of sh1t!
  3. I don't want him to go to Russia. Southgate wouldn't give him the faith we have and it would be damaging. I want him to rest up and hopefully be totally fresh for us in the premier league. I was discussing last night how you'd play him as the opposition. You can't put two or three players on him like wolves did because he'll dance around them and make them look fools. You can't let him run because he will pick the killer pass. You can't chase him down as soon as he has the ball because it doesn't faze him whatsoever. I genuinely don't know how you'd defend against him. He is solidly the top 2 player on the pitch week in week out, and only isn't top if someone else plays a blinder. But in the big games he raises it to a whole new level. He's unplayable! I never thought he'd get to the stage where he was consistently producing performances like the Liverpool semi.
  4. I believe the flags were originally meant for QPR but when it was postponed we said we'd use them for this. At least we don't need clappers ey!
  5. Mind the gap mind the gap Wolverhampton, it's getting smaller every single day! What a performance, grealish steps it up every time we have a big game. He's immense!
  6. Only a midday showing of i, tonya today so it was game night instead. Better than expected, a good easy watch. Solid 7/10 if you want a nice easy film you wont have to pay too much attention to.
  7. I was going to give I, Tonya a miss but might give it a go instead of game night this weekend considering pretty universal praise here.
  8. Great summary of it. I definitely thought it was a comedy based on the trailers. It was a really great concept, but felt wasted on the direction they decided to take. It felt more eco warrior than actually trying to explore the practicalities and humourous side of it that I thought we'd actually see based on the trailer.
  9. Came to this page to mention little Britain. Saw it live on stage, absolutely brilliant! (Special mention to the two pissed up lads dressed as Lou and Andy, fit with wheelchair, after the show. Particularly to Lou who gave Andy a push down the canal slope and straight into the canal. Classic!) Also watched a few episodes of vicar of Dibley lately, forgot how brilliant it was!
  10. Watched the last 25 minutes at Halesowen town. In the sun with a pint, a samosa, watched two comebacks with both finishing 3-2. It's a good day!
  11. Black panther is up there with the best (marvel) for me. I can see it developing into a great addition. It is definitely hyped for obvious reasons and I'm sure will suffer for some because of that. But as an introduction to his character it is one of the best they've done. For what it's worth, I thought the CA the first avenger was ok, until I watched agent carter and winter soldier and it really holds itself up to be better. I think sometimes people have an issue with individual movies but need to look at the bigger picture and how they play in to the universe as a whole.
  12. I might be wrong but...didn't they spend more than us this past summer? There was a nose on wm who had flown all the way from Australia just for this game. Reckoned he 'fooled' our ticket office claiming to be a lifelong fab. I take great delight at the thought of a nose flying from the other side of the world to have to sit amongst us with that amazing atmosphere today!
  13. Id love to see a report on how much money would be saved/reinvested if people were fined for missing appointments. My doctors surgery puts a notice on the wall for number of missed appointments in a week. If people were charged £5-£10 for every appointment missed it would drive a culture change. It wouldnt solve everything but it would save a lot of wasted time.
  14. That isn't my intention at all. My comment referred only to the fact that should (very very unlikely) there be anything distasteful from the blues fans I'm certain our fans will react,as will the players.so let's have it right, I was replying to a post suggesting everyone gives him a good reception if he is there and hoping the blues fans do the same. It isn't making a drama, im saying I'm certain everyone will be respectful, quite the opposite of a drama.
  15. I for one am shocked and amazed that Harry Redknapp didnt exercise extreme caution about the long term sustainability of a club. Can you imagine if they did fold. They would all most likely start following the Olbion and would be the most insufferable fanbase known to man. That alone is enough to make me wish for them to just linger in lower leagues for eternity with the occasional derby to shut them all up.
  16. I think its safe to assume this is one of few situations that we can expect them to have some class about themselves. If not, im sure the fans and players will make them wish they had!
  17. If Bruce isnt at the game on Sunday then Terrys leadership will be vital. If he wants to be a manager then Sunday will be a great test. Not that the coaches cant lead the team, but i see Terry as the one who will be giving the motivation. Be nice for him to experience a proper derby atmosphere too, none of the diluted London club rubbish.
  18. Grealish and Hutton to score! It wont be easy, we can't be complacent but we should win this! Let's have some attacking options on the bench, no more of this three defensive mids plus defenders rubbish, we need options! Let's beat them, I bloody hate them!
  19. My understanding of it is that a majority are ruled out based on online tests which have very little baring on someones ability to actually do the job. I had a casual working for me around a year ago who was fantastic, they wouldnt let me just recruit him so he applied and failed the online tests 5 times before giving up and moving on to another company. They were definately briefed about the role, its one that 99% of the country would be able to describe and the listing was very clear about it being 25 hours, showing expected hours of work etc.
  20. A interviewed people for a position at my place earlier this week. A 25 hour per week position had 204 candidates, 6 were due to be interviewed, 4 turned up (1 left before we even began the interview because he didn't realise it was a 25 hour contract and couldn't believe anyone could live on that...I started a debate on flexibility etc but realised it wasn't worth it). None of the three we interviewed made an effort to look smart (not a judging matter but amazes me people don't even put a shirt on). One was offered the position, the other waitlisted and marginally passed the assessment, the other was totally incompetent and mentioned how much she hates her current workplace at least 7 times by my count. I couldn't believe from 204 candidates those were the best of the bunch!
  21. Biggest result of the season for me. Absolutely brilliant! Bjarnasson deserves plaudits. Johnstone made 5/6 top class saves. There's confidence oozing from the side. Haven't celebrated a goal like that at home in ages!
  22. Seems Bruce isnt at the game as his mom isnt well. Obviously hope she is ok, and much less importantly itll be interesting to see if Calderwood impacts differently.
