  1. his form has really dropped off. he's gone back to how he was when he started here, bounces about too much like hes not sure whats going to happen. When he was at his best he was more solid on his feet.
  2. Sounds like we're as shite as the AVTV commentary.
  3. The WORST thing about that corner was that not only did it hit the first man, but it actually bounced before the first man. Im not defending the corner but he did slip massively. He should have just pulled up a tried again.
  4. Ive got nothing against the zog at all, but its seems like he just doesnt really know whats he's doing next. A lot of the time when he goes past people it bounces of them or looks like a bit of a fluke. Also he runs down dead ends and into people far too much. Yes sometimes it does come off and look amazing but how is the opponent meant to guess what the zogs going to do when he doesn't seem to know what he's going to do himself. As for his record at Wigan and keeping them up - I've go no idea about the rest of the season(s) he had there but was it just a lucky 4/5 games where he put in a few goals? If it was I would love him to have that lucky run again right now.
  5. I tried this with red wine - got to about 60 before giving up. Villa vs Slavia prague was pretty messy. We stated at 7:30am, I vaguely remember the game and then jumping on a Jeep back into town, followed by a few Absinthes in a bar which on the photos had zombies in it - my mates said i went down hill from there - i just remember not being able to see straight and then it was 8am and we were coming out of a strip bar.
  6. It was a dive but he did get caught slightly but as con says he played for it. Refs at the prem higher level seem to not apply any common sense to situations. When I referee (still played up to last year) the basic common sense rules I use are (1) If he hadn't of dived would he have been taken out? - this catches the scenario where the player dives to get out of being injured - which should be a foul - eg. attempting to trip/kick... (2) If the player that challenged the diver hadn't of been there would the diver have kept on his feet - this catches the Suarez/Young type of dive - which shouldn't be a foul. eg. If Guzan had of pulled up slightly quicker and not brushed against Suarez would Suarez would have still gone down - the answer is yes. Its quite easy to apply when you break it down like this. It could even be looked at in retrospect with match bans as it is hard to tell sometimes at full speed with no detrimental effect to the ref in question.

    Ice rink

This is the only relevant penguin picture for this thread that I could find.
  8. Benteke obviously want to go to and play in the world cup. I think its one of the main reasons he stayed with us - to ensure he got 1st team football. So going with the squad even if he doesn't play puts him in a good light. If he is fit enough to play at all (as long as he doesn't get injured again) is a benefit to us as it will just add to his match fitness.

    IIS

Hi All, Among other places I thought I'd ask this question here as you guys are helpful. Ive got a customer who is adamant to use IIS for hosting the web front end of our software this shouldn't usually be a problem however there is the small issue below. The server is called Server1 and is only ever accessed from 2 other machines in the same building but instead of just using the server name to access, the customer want to access it by the fully qualified domain name and apply their wildcard SSL certifcate to access the server via https://software.domain.co.uk. However when they browse to https://software.domain.co.uk it redirects to the local server name https://Server1 causing a certificate error. Is there some configuration in IIS to stop this happening? nb. IIS 7
  11. Ive noticed signal has been crap with Vodafone recently too. Its got significantly worse in the last few months. I use my phone for tethering my laptop to quite alot and places where i used to get good signal its now worse, tried a couple of phones and had a replacement SIM as well. Very Strange. I dont know whether they have done anything to the current setup/equipment in preparation for 4G that has an effect on current signal? Anybody work for a mobile supplier who could shed some light on this?
  12. Yep great reactions. He always used to look like he moved / bounced about far to much - which means that its easier to get caught going the wrong way or have less time to react - say if your half way up a bounce. But he seems far more relaxed now, which came first this or the form? either way hes turning into a class keeper.
  13. Shops that think putting in a self server checkout mean that you dont have to have a member of staff behind the counter (or only have one staff member when its fecking busy).
  14. Based on? If he's not an improvement on Barry Bannan then the guy should just retire from football, to be honest. To be fair non of us have seen him properly and I don't think we know what we have here, he could be a Salifou or a Benteke. Id rather the latter but we'll know soon enough.
  15. we've been saying this for the last 5 years - there's 2 things going on here - you either need to take a quick(ish) throw to someone who is in space already or if a quick ones not on there needs to be a bit of movement to be able to find a player (even on the basic return to thrower routine there needs to be some movement). Here-in lies the problem we are so poor in general at being in space eg. to receive a pass (some players think jogging 2/3 yards away from -usually behind- the opposition is in space!?) and we are shocking (well most players) in having any idea how to have movement to make yourself available for receiving the ball. To be fair a this movement doesn't just help when we have the ball it helps when you haven't eg if your moving you haven't got to accelerate from static to get to the ball/man (even if you not going in the same direction at least your not surprised that you have to move for something). So why should we be any better when it comes to throw ins?
  16. I was going to ask a very similar question about a road bike today... but anyway I got a decent GT second hand from Ebay (~£200) last year for exactly this sort of thing. Ive got a few sets of tyres for it so a quick change and its ok for anything from a quick blast around cannock chase, a cycle along canals/old railways to a bit of road riding (with the slicks on and locked forks). There's quite a bit of decent stuff on ebay if you keep your eye out - but make sure you have a decent ride on it before you actually hand over any money.
  17. IE is only supported up to v8 on XP. Another way MS is trying to get everyone to buy a new OS - to be fair w7 is quite good though. as said above use a portable firefox or simular
  18. there's a shop in Amsterdam called the "Yam-Yam sex shop" - alas i didn't venture inside so cant inform you of the goods it was offering. I'm sure Ive got a photo somewhere...
  19. however much he spends it gets flushed down the bog at the bookies,
