  1. There was something quite satisfying about seeing a good, old fashioned striker's header absolutely buried amongst a crowd of players.
  2. Should be a key player for us. I'm hoping the Amavi / Gestede combo will be quite some weapon.
  3. I think it's obvious that Sherwood told the players to sit back in the first half. We all expected Bournemouth to fly out the traps, really being on a high from their promotion but it never really happened and I think it was right for us to be cautious and slow the pace of the game. By half time we could see that Bournemouth weren't particularly doing what we thought, so it was time to turn it on and in the end we got it right. I'm positive because looking at the lack of quality in the teams around us (Norwich, Sunderland etc) we've brought in a much higher quality of players than the Lambert era and if we keep a fairly fit squad together we should have enough this season to win these sort of games and have a fairly comfortable season.
  4. I've heard rumours that this will be the last of the 'Dark Souls' series. I think a few mistakes were made with Dark Souls II, a good game in its own right but it felt very much like 'let's give people much more of what they like' but without that genius of Miyazaki behind it. We'll definitely see more games of the same style in the future, a Demon's Souls II, a Bloodbourne sequel or completely new stories. I'd be surprised if they dragged on the Souls series, but of course it's difficult to know.
  5. MIYAZAKI IS BACK! https://www.youtube.com/watch?t=23&v=U3B4egZ6UwI
  6. I can hear the crowd really well in my garden and I'm about half a mile away. Must be deafening at the ground.
  7. Think he can score about 10-12 goals, which could prove invaluable to us, so I wouldn't mind. Of course, I'd be extremely disappointed if it was Benteke's only replacement though.
  8. I think it's just better if you don't say anything, Fabian.
  9. Pictures just in! Seriously though, what an absolute snake.
  10. Now Shenmue as a kickstarter. Haha. This is mental.
  11. I think this would be a great signing. Hope it happens.
  12. Although the formula of the game hasn't been messed with, I honestly never thought it would be this good. This game is absolutely remarkable. Arriving at Oxenfurt in the sunset, I was completely blown away by how beautiful the town was; the narrow streets and attention to detail in and around the shipyard. I haven't felt so compelled about a story in such a long time. It's a genuine masterpiece.
  13. Of course, winning it would be the best thing ever but if we don't I won't be too upset if we put in a really valiant performance. Even being here is absolutely unbelievable considering how grim it's been over the past 3-4 years. Our fans will be louder, more colourful and it's just good to have us back, in front of a world audience being relevant again, competing in cup finals. Win or lose, I see a brighter future for us coming, let's just hope it starts with a major trophy in hand.
  14. The fact that every enemy in the game has varying weakness to oils/signs/steel - silver swords makes it stand out against other similar games, instead of just mindless button bashing, it does require you to gather information on the enemy in your bestiary and just adds to the charm and depth of the game, imo. That said, it doesn't really seem to matter a great deal on normal difficulty. Samjp, I think if you make the swallow potion, when you've used up all 3, then meditate it refills them for you if you're carrying alcohol (which is found everywhere when looting) so you shouldn't need to worry too much about carrying food.
  15. Holy shit.
  16. I'm not far enough into this version yet to really get into his character but if you haven't played Witcher 2, you just spend the whole game really discovering his personality and history and really, really wanting him to get justice for what's happened. Just a really powerful character.
  17. Geralt has a ridiculous amount of charm for a moody protagonist too. An unbelievably great character in the gaming world.
  18. I just igni'd the hell out of him and ran around in circles, was quite a comedy moment.
  19. Performs really, really well on my medium range PC and looks great. Far better than DA:I does. Only a few hours in and can already tell it's going to be one of the best games of the last 5 years or so.
  20. Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight
  21. I absolutely loved the story in Witcher 2, it was a fairly mature and complex storyline and I genuinely cared about the characters and decisions I made. A part of me is actually a little concerned that the world is so open now because I don't want that feeling of being bogged down so much with a million quests because when there's so many areas to explore and so many side quests you tend to lose focus on the actual point of the game and it becomes a bit of a chore of collecting pointless things. I think people see linearity as a negative thing but it's not at all, it just depends on the type of game it is and what it's trying to achieve. That said, I still can't wait to get into it. It's certainly a series with its own identity and style and stands out above the majority of similar games of the genre. There's a very deep system of upgrading mechanics, combat decisions and role playing and sure it will be a game to talk about for many, many months.
  22. Not just Delph and Benteke, we have for the first time in a long time a very strong and young spine forming Clark/Okore > Delph/Westwood/Cleverly >Grealish> Benteke. All key players, which kept together and growing together should see us very comfortable and competitive in the future. Benteke will eventually get his move to a top, top team. It would annoy me if he took a nothingy step to Liverpool or Spurs next season though. I'd like to think he can still improve with us for another few years.
