  1. A decent little guide here for basic building. The potential for what you can do is great. Check out those lights to create a vault-boy! http://youtu.be/MvgEA2LDNWM
  2. I guess so, yeah. If you've gone melee though, I can understand why you're having a tough time. That shit is difficult, ha.
  3. I've probably played just about enough to give a fair assessment, although I know there's so much more to come. I had a bit of a pain tweaking graphics, I'm only playing on a GTX 750 TI, but I finally have it running really, really well. My first impression, like everyone else was that it's Fallout. The same engine, same colours, same sounds, same gameplay, same familiar items/monsters, It just felt like a fallout 3 sequel rather than a continuation of the whole series and I was fine with that but It probably wasn't until the game opened up around diamond city that it's really started to become its own game. It's just brilliant. The stories have been interesting so far, the attention to detail is absolutely phenomenal. The small things, like walking past a guy in town, breaking into his house, hacking his terminal and reading diary entries about his life; just one guy in a huge world. It's impressive. The companion system seems a little more immersive than the Skyrim one, in the fact that they are actually useful and join you for a cause. The addition of synths is a really interesting subject for me. I've already encountered two story chains that really touch on the subject of synthetic humans and I'm sure the game will delve deeper into the psychology of this and force you to make some difficult decisions. The game is a mess at times. It's still a little buggy, dodgy npc pathing and the game looks about five years old but these things have almost become Bethesda's open world identity and the minor problems just don't matter because of the character of the games they create. Just really looking forward to getting back to exploring, some of the best moments so far have been when aimlessly wondering around and finding a random event.
  4. I just got my sweet disco up and running!
  5. That's the nature of the Fallout games really and the reason why it doesn't sit well with a lot of people. There's a heavy emphasis on scavenging; salvaging what you can from a destroyed world, there's a strange addiction to it. I have no idea why I feel happy if I find some aluminium or a circuit board or something, it's a weird psychological thing, I often wonder myself why on earth I'm wasting time doing this. The addition of more interesting and useful loot has helped, also the addition of legendary weapons and individual armour parts makes exploring random buildings a little more rewarding.
  6. Not at all. This'll be what elevates Fallout to a massive audience, like Skyrim did for the Elder Scrolls series. Just jump in.
  7. I'm massively back into Witcher 3 at the moment after a break. So glad I went back, when you get to Skellige it's just absolutely phenomenal.... but... but ... Fallout. I've just spent too much time on Fallout 2, 3 and Vegas that I just have to drop everything for this... even though Witcher 3 could possibly be of the greatest games I've ever played, I'm just a sucker for Fallout hype. I know I'll lose my Witcher flow and not get back into it for months. Don't care though, can't wait for it.
  8. It's beyond ridiculous now how he gets anywhere near the starting line-up. He offers absolutely nothing to the team at all, not one thing. He just isn't Premier League standard in any way shape or form. I actually think he's probably the crappest player in the league on the largest contract.
  9. It is an interesting situation. Chelsea have been unique in the fact that they've been able to swap managers regularly and still enjoy phenomenal success but I don't think that can happen now because the reason managers could come in and continue the success was because the spine of the team with Cech, Terry, Lampard, Drogba etc was so consistent and so good that they pretty much ran the team anyway and not a lot needed changing. Now that's gone it might get a little messy for them over the next few years until they can build another spine, which of course, isn't that easy.
  10. I don't think they would be. We've seen time and time again that he puts so much energy and emotion into his management that eventually he just implodes. It seems to have happened a little earlier than usual. He's picked the wrong fights and there's obvious friction between him and a certain group of players. I think the club might actually prefer to hold onto Hazard, their biggest asset, instead of risking losing him under Mourinho's management.
  11. This. People need to wake up to the fact that are squad is poor. Not even sure if Grealish is good enough to start in a midtable side to be honest I don't think there's a Villa fan on the planet that doesn't think the squad is poor. Really because I've heard and seen plenty say that we've got a good squad Aye, I edited that as i briefly scooted through previous pages to see that there are actually some that believe we have a good squad. Ha, I've no idea what the basis is for believing that,
  12. This. People need to wake up to the fact that are squad is poor. Not even sure if Grealish is good enough to start in a midtable side to be honest I don't think there's many fans on the planet that don't think the squad is poor.
  13. It's just so sad and depressing that such an unprofessional, inexperienced, gobby chancer is anywhere near this great old football club. I just wince every single time I hear him talk.
  14. @sidlowe 28s29 seconds agoMoyes tells @cuezva in presser than he's not going to Villa
  15. Needs to go before he does some real damage to this squad and the development of the young players. It's so frustrating that the board couldn't learn from the mistakes of hiring such an inexperienced manager in such a tough league. The guy is just too volatile; often makes stupid rash decisions and let's his heart rule his head. There's absolutely no feeling that he has any sort of control over the team or any indication that tactically he has the intelligence to really match his competitors. I'd like the board to act quickly but it won't happen and that'll be why we go down this year.
  16. I imagine he'll start publicly criticising players soon as he gets more frustrated and it'll get really, really messy.
  17. Very much looking forward to it. XCOM appealed to me because it made this type of game incredibly accessible whilst remaining extremely challenging. I went through 60 hours of hell finishing this game but was incredibly proud of myself on completion. Bring on more slamming of the keyboard and mourning the deaths of characters I'd become attached to.
  18. Sanchez is turning into some player for us. Great to see.
  19. It's just really sad that this is what football has become. This isn't a direct attack on anyone but you see that in an age of football as a business model, players are monitored almost as machines and a statistic and the human element is lost. He's a human, he's a young lad in a new country. Of course, each person is different but we have no idea how difficult it might be for him to adapt. The thought that he could already be written off is just absolutely baffling to me. The guy's signed a long contract, the point is that he's here to improve as a player on the training pitch each day and he was signed as a player with excellent potential. If it doesn't work out for him, it doesn't work out but only time will tell. Every player deserves time, surely.
  20. Any chance of playing some sort of functioning, balanced system this half? Or are we just going to carry on humiliating ourselves.
  21. Another hugely frustrating game against them. Really makes you want to bang your head against the wall, particularly as that's probably as bad as Man. Utd will ever play at Villa Park. The team worked hard enough, the desire was there but we just have to show more as an attacking threat at home, it was so impotent, it's difficult to take. I'm hoping it improves with Gil/Grealish/Traore, it really needs to. Defence looked pretty shaky on set pieces, although Richards won most stuff in the air. Amavi and Gueye were alright. As each game passes I struggle to understand the point of Gabby. The team needs time on the training ground and I think we'll be alright.

    Adama Traore

Well if he's half as good as Mathieu Berson we'll have a legend on our hands.
  23. Yeah, pretty odd, they spent a few minutes talking about Fonte coming to us. Would be a great signing but can't really see it happening.
