It is weird how you absolutely fly through NG+. The muscle memory to deal with everything. I'm nearly at the end of it now, it's taken me about 3 hours. I haven't used a shield, just two handed my greatswords and only died twice. The contrast to my first playthrough is ridiculous. I've been using a guide to go through one of the special endings, some real crazy shit happens. I'm also wrapping up a load of the npc story lines that missed first time round, Siegward's is hilarious!

Civilization VI just announced to be out in October. Can't wait. I just hope it doesn't take a few years of add-ons and DLC to be good this time.

He has been quite annoying this series. He's just completely in his element at the moment and gets rather carried away. There's something hugely compelling about his videos though, I'm finding myself quite gripped.

I think it's a bit rubbish. However, this sort of genre isn't my thing and I don't know what I'm talking about. The experience has been extremely dull for me so far though.

Enter the Gungeon is great! Sort of a mix between The Binding of Issac and Hotline Miami. Absolutely huge selection of ridiculous guns. It's really tough but the progress you make is very rewarding.

I've never personally taken Souls' pvp seriously, never seen the point. I tend to just enjoy running around naked, with a mimic head on and the silliest weapon I can find and just be a complete nightmare invading people trying to peacefully get through their game

I was trying not to look up any guides on my first run and just play through without any info but I've decided to do some of the optional areas (that I would never have found) before really focusing on the Lord of Cinder. I wanna try and round up my character's stats too, get to about SL 80 and upgrade some of the incredible late game weapons I've picked up. I'm not sure If I'll do a NG+ yet. I'm thinking of starting a completely new build after, there's so much to do.

Yhorm and Dancer down tonight. Really enjoyed the Dancer fight, her slick movement and flowing attacks made for a fascinating fight. Things are really heating up now, got myself a nice set of weapons for various encounters. Particularly the Astora Greatsword which is absolutely wrecking high armoured enemies; great fun!

I'm currently in the dungeon too. It's horrible. Reminds me of the prison is Demon's Souls.

No, i'm not summoning on my first playthrough. I really want to get the maximum reward feeling from soloing them. Sometimes when you summon you can get a really overpowered player that kills the boss for you and it feels like cheating a bit. But yeah, I had the tactic down from really early on but i just couldn't avoid the arrow attack. Eventually i was using the stamina regen item and had enough to out roll it.

That smouldering lake area is crazy. They often do this, they hide entire, huge areas in extremely odd places. There's even a hidden place within the hidden place A bit like Ash Lake in DkSI. From a lore perspective this place absolutely incredible. I'm really starting to piece together what's going on now. There's an absolutely bad ass shield under that big worm enemy too. 100% physical resist, fairly light, high all round resistance and recovers more souls from enemies when you kill them. Managed to get the Demon King down on my second try, though I somehow got stuck under his legs and was touch and go for the final hit.

So glad I went into this not having anything spoiled. One of the best moments in computer game history just happened!

Are you playing a dex build? If so, Halberd type weapons are really good for dishing out heavy damage. The move sets take a while to get used to but when you learn to 2hand them, they can be devastating. Katana's are strong with high dex scaling and added bleed debuff but they only really shine against light armoured enemies. Coming up against heavy armoured enemies, it'll be a bit of a struggle.

Why do they feel they have a right to act and do what they like and not, y'know, like work hard day in day out and earn a chance to play. It's a shame cos he's a player with decent ability but he, like many others are part of the horrific culture we have the club and has to leave for us to be able to re-build. So, let's hope he's gone as soon as possible.

It's absolutely ridiculous how closely this is related to Dark Souls I. I can't tell at the moment whether we find out the link (I really hope so) or it's just playing to the fans of DkSI. That said, there's also links to Demon's Souls and DkSII, so I would imagine it will wrap things up nicely. I'm absolutely loving it now, tbh. It's just fantastic. One area in particular I've just reached, my jaw hit the floor. It's also nice to know that there's hundreds of hours of exploring, playing new characters, pvping left to do. Great stuff.
