That's a really nice smart clean shirt £90 and in football shirt material though? Nope Remember that umbro England kit that was just plain white polo shirt? One of my favourite ever shirts that was but as a fan they made the material somethibg really comfortable to wear when not playing football
-
Crazy how many of them thought mings was handball, hit his arm no doubt but it was completely by his side, didn't move a mm away from his hip until the ball pushed it about 3mm away Not sure what else he could do from that range
-
Or UEFA when they hand out bigger punishments for breaking their sponsorship policies during the euros than they do for racially abusing players
-
No doubt they'll do a tour of the PLs corporate facilities next season to get a feel for it all
-
The original message was that black lives matter The players take a knee because that message is true, people support it because that message is true Political parties hijacking those 3 words and trying to make it something that you can then drive a wedge through us pure detraction, it was never about a political party, ever This is what the racists do, this is why they win If you're more offended by the political ideology of BLM than you are over black people still being oppressed then your compass is off
-
4 players £112m Maybe a loan too
-
No such thing as "a team like us" anymore, all of us in the middle of the table are incredibly wealthy and can offer the fee and the wages Definitely wouldn't say no to him, it's a lot of money but he's a good age and the quality is better than what we have Think the Uruguayan guy would come with more excitement but far more risk
-
Yeah they changed it to "no room for racism" at some point and distanced themselves from BLM
-
They did rebrand it... That's the problem, people have been too easily swayed in to believing whatever bullshit they want to believe about this taking a knee But then that's what they do to every civil rights movement that's ever been attempted in the last 60 odd years, it's a broken record
-
I'm not listening but I think Simon Jordan on talksport is trying to name him as manager of the year...
-
Finished 12th lads I'm sure "club of our stature" went down like a shit sandwich up there I've done a great job because we're a shit football team
-
I kind of agree but then at the same time this thing about spending something daft like 69 weeks out of 73 in the top 4 but not getting CL long term could come back to bite them on the ass The FA Cup would be incredible if you had the confidence that CL will happen eventually and I think after this season that confidence must be dropping
-
Rio tweeted that a wolves fan was kicked out today for doing a monkey chant at him The mind boggles, not just at the racism but the fact that you've waited a **** year to watch your team, you've been lucky enough to get a ticket... And then you think it's OK to do that? Absolute bell end
-
Doesn't matter who the owner is and how much money he has, doesn't matter who the manager is, to an extent it doesn't matter who the academy manager is... Their biggest problem is still their chief scout They have deadwood in central midfield and defence that I wouldn't want for free and you're talking £200m worth of players and no doubt £100k a week in wages The biggest problem with Ancelotti going is they need stability, another new guy, another new group of players, another new bomb squad
-
Says a lot about the league They are shit, Bruce's football is shit, you can say they got a couple of players to get them out of trouble but some good individual performances do not make him a good manager Averaging about 30% possession and 3 shots a game yet picking up points, it's not the odd game (like us today) it's every week, 0 points, 1 point, 3 points it's still the same poor boring to watch performance His whole philosophy is snatching points, doesn't matter if its away to man City or home to Sheffield utd he sets up to snatch points
-
So the done better than anyone could ever have hoped he could ever have done because he's a great manager doing a great job narrative gets the big sign off that his mates in the media all wanted, no doubt 12th is a "miracle" Just don't wheel out the attacking play stats... Awful football team

The RJW63 Official Jack Grealish Appreciation Thread
villa4europe replied to sir_gary_cahill's topic in Other Football
If it was a 23 man squad then it might get interesting but with 26 it's hard to believe that he won't make it Again today even in the glimpses he showed that he has something that no other English player does, foden and Mount can do a lot of good things, sterling and Rashford at times too but no one simply runs directly with the ball like grealish -
When you see the conversation about 55 points getting you further up the table most seasons that is the reason why, the bottom clubs have been garbage I really think "doing a Villa" will be the norm Swansea have 3 loan players in their starting line up and Wayne routledge... Watford will have the best chance but the other 2 will go back down, Brentford at least should be interesting
-
Must be early favourites to win it if they play the right team, good chance to blood youngsters too, Skipp to start every game etc People will wrongly laugh at the tournament but if we can get it next year and then use it as a vehicle to start 4 or 5 of these youngsters we have it would be absolutely huge

Aston Villa - 2020/21 PL Season review & comparison
villa4europe replied to MaVilla's topic in Villa Talk
At the very least we're exciting Wonder what having fans in the stadium would have been like during the slump but also during some of the great wins Beating the "big" teams bar of course **** utd must be the best season for that for a long time? -

They did a bit, kovacic should have got his 1st yellow for taking out Bertie at the end of the 1st half, 2nd yellow for taking out Jack -
They both scored which will put a positive light on their performance but el ghazi and traore came very close to killing us today, funny how that works Tracking back was awful, the shape was always going to make it hard but until we scored Chelsea had so much joy from the wing backs that they should have scored in all honesty, a mixture of the back 4 being comfortable with crosses and Timo Werner kept us in it They were really poor

It was an overreaction and was a bit funny But at the same time the azpilacueta meant every bit of it so **** him If jack doesn't sell it the ref doesn't buy it -
I think there's more to it than that, it's also about being about to receive the ball off the defence and pivot, Nakamba isn't great at it Deano needs to use both of them in different circumstances
-
Last 2 games are exactly what he should be used for, he has a role here definitley just need to have the confidence to use him In games where we think we'll have 60% possession fair enough but there's more than a few where we have 40% and that's his game
