  1. That 8 penalty box entries is the big stat, before the injury he was the highest in the league I think, maybe one of the highest in europe on one of those fancy graphs That's what he does, runs with the ball at defences and it's horrible to play against That's where he's unlike other England players
  2. The penny has just dropped for me that he can't play vs Chelsea But seriously what could have been... Before his injury he was in England squad form, after his injury he was **** garbage Has a lot of problems in his head to work out, might dupe a newly promoted team in to picking him up but he could be joining Drinkwater in Turkey in a few years
  3. Saw a stat flash up mid game he's now villas highest scoring Englishman in a single PL season with 14
  4. Yeah he's not a purple patch player or inconsistent game to game or even goes through hot and cold spells during the 90 mins He's inconsistent from touch to touch
  5. The only defence I can think of is that the ref thinks the ball is going out and he can't get it But then Harry Kane completely miscontrolled the ball and it was going out for his pen vs us There's not a chance in hell that utd or kane don't get that penalty and that's what's infuriating about it
  6. Few minutes to get that buzz heading in to Monday without the risk of overplaying and getting injured Hopefully will go on to have a career that means him hitting the post goes down as something that's never forgotten, 10 years time when he's bossing it "I remember him hitting the post..."
  7. Again I made the mistake of venturing on to twitter during the game... Tanganga kicks straight through him to get a piece of the ball "diving again" "games gone soft' Madness, they battered him
  8. Said in the ratings thread I thought his handling of kane was superb, it's a hard job cos he pulls him about and drops deep but mings was brilliant with it, passed him on when he needed to, stepped out, dropped off, gave him space in the right areas, closed down in the right areas, read the game perfectly My MOTM And Kane with that grabbing his arm free kick what a cheating word removed
  9. Can't work out if he's the best shit footballer I've ever seen or the worst great footballer I've ever seen
  10. Great game Could and should have had more, Bertie at his crazy inconsistent joy to watch infuriating best Mings was a beast, his off the ball pressing and tracking letting him go work around kane was superb, played him brilliantly
  11. 1 game left I think deano probably doesn't care that much Tbf neither do I... Good to see some debuts
  12. Traore walking past them all night If he had his shooting boots on he'd have a hattrick
  13. Another game where at any given moment 7 of them look good 4 of them look shit Never all at the same time
  14. **** off You say Harry Kane doesn't get that?
  15. To be fair what else does he do? Nakamba showed already why he shouldn't play, plenty of people on here will tell you Ramsey does nothing, Luiz isn't in form either, Barkley was embarrassing last game We don't have a single good in form midfielder
  16. Our defensive line looks like it's being pushed too deep, Kane will score from the edge of the box he's finding so much space there
  17. Was sat thinking this might eb the first time I've properly watched a game at spurs new stadium... Then I saw dele Alli! **** hell it's been a while since I've seen spurs
  18. living somewhere where the shops are shut on a sunday i can tell you that its shit, they're all completely shut on bank holidays too what it does result in is later opening hours in the week, most places are open to 8pm here, opening at maybe 10am or 11am the UK needs to do whatever it can to bring back independents and im not sure what the answer is bar banning supermarkets from taking over towns, every thing just seems to play in the hands of the likes of tescos and the big chains
  19. he cant press in the same way that ollie can and we are set up around ollie's press high up the pitch, look at the goal vs everton, thats all ollie, he cant do that from the left and tammy cant do it from the middle personally i then think in general ollie is a better striker, his movement is better and after the season he's had scoring just about enough, showing glimpses that he'll get better, hitting the woodwork the most in the league, breaking in to the england squad we're then going to spend around a quarter of our summer budget replacing him? thats madness tammy wont come here as 2nd choice, not a chance, saying we need a better back up striker i can agree with, saying we need tammy i dont
  20. both are possibly similar too utd they were so preoccupied with the offside that they seemingly didnt check to see if fernandes actually kicked it, chelsea they checked to see if the contact was inside or outside the box rather than the contact itself fwiw i though chelsea's was a pen and they could have had another earlier in the game, utds was offide, he didnt touch the ball not a chance
  21. mullers no surprise as he's been ok and set the assists record, still not sure ze germans use him in the same way as bayern though hummels has been worse than shit, he's been lazy but they're not exactly blessed at CB...its a poor defence in general, sule is injured musiala aside i dont think its an exciting squad either, not looking at that thinking they'll do well to do anything but at least they'll give the next wave a run out, theres nothing there, they've got the euros in 2024 , more than 50% of this squad wont make that tournament and most of those that do will 28+
