  1. Wolves were poor, we have to finish above them this year, I don't really have a target for position but want to finish above these for the obvious reason but also because I genuinely believe that we are better than them baggies were dreadful, a few of them wouldnt look out of place for the dog and duck
  2. The lack of urgency from the baggies is pretty nuts Almost like they know they're down and don't believe they can do anything
  3. Mine was mainly because of music magpie, the belief that CDs are worthless whereas who knows with vinyl, some of it will be hard to shift but some of it will be worth a bit, been a while since I checked but I've got a couple of libertines vinyls that were worth £100 each at one point My big regret is that when I was at uni in the mid 00s I used to go in to HMV every Monday and buy the latest 7" records, had loads of Arctic monkeys, bloc party, white stripes etc usually for around 99p but I sold them all a couple of years later, Kate Nash foundations double disc gatefold cost me £2 and I sold it for about £30, I got excited by the profit and sold too many
  4. Ajax who sing 3 little birds every game have a bob Marley inspired 3rd kit for next season, can't post a pic until tomorrow but it's a beauty
  5. Bluetooth pairing in the car was the end of the CD for me I do miss ripping mp3s though, my last phone was full of stuff that I'd converted from YouTube, making my own boot legs from live shows and things like that, lots of covers and acoustic stuff too, I need to get back in to that
  6. I sold my CDs when I moved, over a thousand, fair few special editions etc majority in great condition, also a fair few that I'd got from the likes of fopp or the show in merry Hill that used to do 5 for £2, would lazily guess somewhere around the £5k mark, all of it to music magpie and a competitor of theirs that I can't remember the name of, got around £300 for them Kept my vinyl though I like the idea of collecting something, I think most people do, so mine is vinyl records and hard rock cafe fridge magnets No one will ever ask to see your mp3 collection
  7. So was peaky blinders but that's on its way out That said that might give them more reason to keep LoD going, they won't want to lose both of their big shows (is LoD that big abroad? PB supposedly does a lot of business on BBC worldwide which actually makes them a lot of money)
  8. Yeah I think so too, it's a shame that he almost didn't get the recognition he deserved when he was with us, especially for England, he was sensational for us, absolutely unplayable at times Deserved his big move but ultimately became a small fish in a big pond
  9. couldnt agree with this more, look at arsenal, pretty much the only good thing about them is the youngsters and every one of those came through and benefited from the EL, the conference would be an even lower level too, im sure chelsea and man utd would be similar EL league or conference for us in the next 2/3 years with these youngsters coming through could be absolutely huge in their development
  10. their away record is pretty nuts, the last away game they lost was to liverpool 19th January 2020 they have us and wolves left to play this season so theres every danger theyll go a whole season without losing an away game
  11. was looking at a project in London a few years back, it was on the land of some start up business centre, was full of hipsters but the owners were good guys, one of the businesses there trying to get going was a bamboo toilet paper company, saving the planet by sourcing the bog roll sustainably, they were of course providing all the bog roll for the centre, everyone was using it, the problem was that the paper doesn't break down in the same way as standard bog roll, it was clogging the drains i had to go down to London at 6am, meet up with a gang of drain guys from Wolverhampton (again nice guys but you can imagine what they were like...) to rod the clogged up bamboo toilet paper out of their drainage system also refurbed several leisure centres over the years, its mental whats down their drains! so much hair, the rubber bands with the keys, loads of stuff, the main thing though they just have a general build up of dead skin and other natural things that wash off in the shower! they call it "body fat" and it was **** horrible
  12. i think a lot of people will say we would go down but honestly the bottom are proper **** dire, the lack of effort and care that has plagued us for the last few months might not have been there if we were in a relegation fight we'd be about 16th or 15th, the main difference is that we would be garbage to watch every week, I've enjoyed villa this year
  13. i'll chuck in caleb followill of kings of leon again more for the fact that his voice as part of an instrument for that band, its not necessarily unique but it definitely makes them stand apart from a lot of the bands they were fighting for space with at the time, mainly the UK ones in the 00s, if he didnt have that voice i dont think KOL are anywhere near what they are today, it is absolutely key to them add to that that he can actually sing
  14. that is the crux of it they spent 20 years doing whatever they wanted, buying whoever they wanted, winning everything and now they don't because the financial disparity that they enjoyed for so long has been taken away from them and they think its unfair - not a **** chance! and like i said last night man utd are the ones who pushed for this globalisation, they're the ones who championed FFP to try and close the door on everyone else because they made so much money, they're the ones that the likes of barca have tried to copy...and now we're sat here saying poor old man utd fans? what is going on?! this is the bed they made for themselves, they are a business, they dont moan when that business was winning them the league, we are currently in a position in football that man utd have been angling us towards for 30 years and for the last 10 its been a problem whereas for the previous 20 it wasn't? whys that? and then as for the glazers leeching money off them, they've spent £1bn in transfers in 8 years as well as £200m a year in wages, having money is not their problem, spending money is their problem, they still spend shit loads of money, under the glazers they've won 5 PLs, 1 Fa cup, 4 league cups, 6 charity shields, 1 champions league, 1 Europa league which is probably about to be 2, and the club world championship - and they're moaning that they dont spend enough and they dont win enough...get the **** out of it dont let your opinion of how shit the ESL is somehow put flowers on what man utd are
  15. Stats wise no argument, they don't lie, he's scored goals despite not playing that much But the old stupid suggestion of take those goals away and what does he actually do? The answer is not enough, his influence on games isn't great, again I get that goals are the greatest influence, last night he did not a lot of anything bar 3 or 4 split second moments of good football, he's not just inconsistent I think he struggles to get involved Personally I would sell either him or trez depending on which one we could get the most value for, both are inconsistent flawed players, keep 1 and I'm not fussed which, would say he's a slightly better footballer but trez has more work in him, both are 6/10 footballers who ultimately long term need replacing One thing I do like is when we are struggling to create anything he can go more direct with his shooting, never scared to have a pop, which is where his goals are coming from, I would fancy him to score from 30 yards out every game more than I would for him to beat his man and deliver a perfect cross, his actual wing play is bang average
  16. It even sounds like he doesn't watch him Hows he still got a job beyond being a miserable prick that riles fans up creating traffic on social media?
  17. Like when your mom's mate shares missing dog posts from nebraska just in case her 200 mates in Kidderminster stumbled across it this morning
  18. The lack of belief or understanding that just like a footballer a manger can get old and deteriate If anything managers are worse than footballers, tactics and new ideas, technology and staying fresh for 15 years is harder than kicking a ball for the same period of time
  19. As for worst pain, smashed my teeth falling off a bike when I was a kid, front 2 I knocked one clean out, other one I broke in half, broke my nose, cuts everywhere, actually tore that little flap in between your top lip and your gum, I haven't got one anymore 1st night, casualty sorted me out but dentist was the next day, couldn't breathe through my broken nose so had to use my mouth... Where I have an exposed nerve flapping in the wind... Months later I had to have the nerve removed the tooth is dying, route canal, the dentist says pain killers make the nerve shrink, I've had it capped by now, they have to drill a hole in the back on the tooth, insert what I can only describe as a screw type thing, twist it hoping that the nerve wraps around the head and then yank it out... For an hour... They couldn't do it, take 3 visits at 1 hour each I was 12
  20. I got a chest infection shortly after breaking my ribs Went on a stag do in my early 20s, someone tried to give me a wedgie and rip my boxers off, didn't work they didn't break, next thing I know about 6 lads have me hoisted up in the air by my boxers like a throw in at rugby, the band still didn't break, my ribs did... Went to the Dr's, said I think I've hurt my ribs, he said stand up against the wall, gave me a little rub (insert KW here) then out nowhere pushed the palm of his hand in to the middle of my chest pinning me on the wall, I gasped winced nearly shit myself all in one go, he said yep theyre broke, nothing we can do, rest up and they'll heal Got the post booze weekender chest infection a few days later, horrible time
  21. Woodward is or was a huge problem for them because he's very good at his day job, their partnership deals are mind blowing Problem being his day job should never have been chief of football Its almost like he was so good at the one thing that he bullied his way in to doing the other If you were to pinpoint the decline of man utd it would be him that would be top of my list not the glazers - and to be honest the natural decline following the retirement of fergie would be ahead of the glazers too
  22. Recently found an otis redding live album on Spotify, live at the whiskey a go go, the editing is shit but his voice is incredible, also love Sam Cooke at the harlem club If you haven't already give Charles Bradley a listen to, incredible voice Growing up I'd say Kelly Jones of the phonics, I'd throw Liam in but more for his style and snarl than his actual talent like it or hate it it's a unique voice, most recently its Tommy odell of the Dmas, their mtv unplugged album is stunning, they're currently slowly releasing a load of Amy Winehouse live at the BBC Worst I've seen was Ian brown, was all over the shop, forgot lyrics, messed songs up, just terrible Edit - Charles Bradley not Barkley!!
