Used to go to a gym owned by a physio from team GB, rolled my left ankle at football and he was able to treat it, as Tony says balance board, ice, rest then strengthening afterwards
One of the pieces of advice he was able to give me which is unfortunately shit for your lad - don't limp! He gave my right calf a deep massage as part of the treatment, a week of limping was **** my right leg too, was horrible
