  1. In English football no, we have our crash bang wallop 100mph nature of the PL but its dying out for various reasons, not just defending But when you talk about the clichés of old Italian defenders and how good they were then this is what I always considered it to be what you are talking about, stepping across the line of the ball and making it theirs, it's not traditionally an English thing, don't play the man or look to out strength them or shoulder barge them, just make the ball yours I dont think it's a bad thing as its better more intelligent football, we just haven't found the balance with gamesmanship and it being a bit soft yet
  2. What pogba did yesterday is something that Jack grealish is absolutely world class at Line of the ball, he put his body across it, Luiz cannot win that ball without fouling him, it's impossible, he knows exactly what he's doing and what will happen, he completely outsmarted him Grealish does that to the best players in the league, every game No complaints about their penalty from me
  3. And me, was surprised yesterday with the comments on how bad the pre game show was, I haven't watched that shit in 10+ years, switch it off at half time too Watch highlights on YouTube
  4. And Manchester in the arndale, they seem to be spreading about now with a franchise set up so it's hard to know where or why they are in certain locations Personally considering I think Mexican food deserves way more attention than it gets as a fast food in the UK I found it really disappointing, the quality just isn't there There are a couple of Chipotles in London
  5. I think one has opened up in kiddy following the lockdown, burger pizza bad food type place But other than that there are no independents, theres a fine dining place which is good and owned by a villa fan, there's a Chinese place and a few Indians but there very few independents, even frankie and bennys had to shut, after that there's a couple of chains and then late night places that you'd be scared to venture to sober, give me an American chain burger over a guy dropping one in a deep fat fryer The quality of burger vans and catering events has gone through the roof though, beefy boys and the patty men etc that kind of thing is taking off but they have no fixed abode
  6. The ball in from rashford should be on repeat for our wingers... Very rare we get that quality of delivery let alone the movement and finish
  7. Good old Boris, heard the Gazprom execs were there so he'll be sending the minister for culture and a few trade ministers to make sure they enjoy the final Because of course Wembley has a better press box Seriously though it was never happening but fair play to purslow for getting our name out there and hopefully UEFA on the phone, it'll come back round in some way further down the line
  8. I think so, season 1 is very good TV, it just went downhill from there It has 2 massive problems There was an obvious storyline to me after 2 seasons that they never really developed properly
  9. you just described shake shack too it was ok, it was way too busy in there though, nothing relaxing or enjoyable about the restaurant itself, it was expensive at over $40 for me and the wife, we had w double burgers with various toppings, chips with various topping, some sort of chicken as a side and 2 drinks for which i of course went root beer floater*, plus some extra sauces, the main issue was the fat in the burger, it was a dripping out the bottom when you bit it burger which i could just about stomach but it put the wife off, its a better piece of meat than mcdonalds but at twice the price theres the question of better value and im not sure it is, same can be said of 5 guys but i never felt that way with the UK burger chains that tried to posh it up, gourmet and handmade were both pretty good as restaurants rather than fast food the view was decent though... * on the root beer floater, i remember A&W in Canada being a really good fast food burger
  10. Yeah I get confused with them and whatever the old English chain was, don't think I've ever been to one, not in the states either
  11. just read up on it, first interesting thing was that they've overtaken burger king in the states to become the 2nd biggest burger chain they plan on opening 400 stores in the UK! coming to europe too
  12. That's a stat presentation bullshit thing, its skewed to sound worse than it actually is when in reality because of our relegation we didn't play them for 3 of those years, also then not won is because we drew a game Its spun to sound worse than utd have had a penalty in their last 3 wins vs villa
  13. But the keeper did make contact with him... The argument against Ollie is that his feet left the ground before the contact, which like you say his him preparing for the incoming contact / getting out of the way of it The suggestion that what he should of done is just ran in a straight line, anticipated nothing and just smashed in to Henderson injuring both players is nonsensical
  14. And me Mainly because I know twice as many mna utd fans
  15. This is where us ripping out the heart of their academy is underrated you can do what baggies are doing if you have a core of young players who will come through and ultimately benefit from it but they don’t, they also lost Ferguson to palace last summer, not a single player under the age of 21 in this squad theres no plan there, they might come back up, they might stay down there for 2 to 3 years and then come back up but it’s hard to see them doing anything other than exactly the same, there’s no progression who in this team would you say the PL was a step too much for them, go away get 40 games next season in the championship then come back the year after PL ready? There is no one
  16. back on my laptop so can link it - WAHNSINN - Red Devils stellen Rekord ein! | Man United-Southampton 9:0 | Highlights - Premier League - YouTube watch from 2.18 and tell me its not bollocks, martial's is even **** worse but of course man utd get their penalty
  17. Doesn't necessarily work like that, he's not an unknown, it'll be more a case of who's willing to take the risk of him being a PL player, if we had a £15m bid for him accepted then we wouldn't be the only bidders the price is going to go up due to the fact that half of Europe will be scouting him, definitely a sellers market
  18. In terms of the players I think it's acceptable, just about There's a world of difference between posting he's shit on here and contacting him via social media private messages to say the same Taking it further the Mike Dean stuff from a few weeks ago where he doesn't even have a social media account so people were searching out his kids and family members so they can message them "tell your dad he's a word removed" What the **** is wrong with people The social media companies have to do more, I doubt the police can unless it crosses various lines, the suggestion that the players have to come off the platforms misses the point by miles, it's not just a football problem
  19. Go on YouTube, search for the highlights of man utd vs Southampton, watch the foul for the penalty that utd win and the Southampton defender got sent off Now say that Ollie dived and deserved a red Its utter bollocks, man utd get awarded a penalty for that incident, its there for everyone to see, its not theoretical or villa bias it happened
  20. Arsenal have mental problems leading to performance issues that I think we don't even if we have disappointingly gone off to the beach since mid January Give me Watkins over lacazette and auba any day of the week
  21. Here we go again... He's doing OK, not struggling or looking out of place, just not having a huge influence on games as part of a midfield that rarely controls possession or as a unit has any influence on a game, not playing well but also not playing badly He'll continue to develop and get better Now go in to the Chuk thread or the Barry thread or the academy thread and see how many want various youngsters to get games (myself included) when in reality they will be the same He needs time and we need patience
  22. That's baggies down though so it's not all bad
  23. Probably too late now, I've done uni and worked my way up so I do OK financially now but have the bills to go with it, I can't really afford to change career and take a dip especially wife a 1 year old and a wife currently not working, would take a lot of planning and to be honest is something I think I would gamble with in brum but not here
  24. I'm kind of in the if nothing changes then nothing changes boat They all slit their own throats eventually due to complacency and arrogance (apart from seemingly man City) Don't want Leicester to get top 4 either
