He's worth an awful lot to us no doubt about it probably more than his market value. In a strange way maybe having to have a go out wide last season has actually helped him. He probably now works that bit harder, gets into different positions than he did before and appreciates it more when he is up top. Two of the crosses on saturday were awesome and his work for both goals was an example to all our youngsters.

Agree he is not a winger but then again neither is he a 'luxury player' unless you class luxury as somebody who can play the ball forward and has an eye for goal. I am so tired of these idiotic comments. Just because one player was purchased for next to nothing and did great, then every cheap prospect should be given the benefit of the doubt? Why? Chances are that this Enda Stevens will 99,99% suck badly, and be released from his contract later on. Not pessimism, just a realistic approach. Yeah that's the likelihood of players signed when they are about 16-17 but he's further on then those in terms of obviously age and also performing on a bigger stage. Of course it remains to be seen whether he will cut the mustard week in and week out but he's got a fair chance. Err no Heskey is injured and a lot of people dont want him playing. Cuellar has been out for ages and never gets a kick anyway Bent has a niggle but its likely he'll play and even if he doesnt Gabby is in good form. Given isnt injured. But yeah who next? There would be no point employing a manager or coaches really if all footballers were motivated. Clearly for whatever reason he wasn't motivated last season. If we had the money for a couple of new centre backs and a left back then I would replace them however as we appear to not have much I'm happy as long as they carry on giving 100%

I would persevere with him for now especially as we are not losing. With the younger players poor performances now and again are to be expected, hopefully this weekend when we should see more of the ball he will be at the races again.

It was great to see him score at the weekend, personally though I would prefer him to have scored a goal where he got beyond the striker or at least into the box as this could give him the confidence to get more. Although I'm probably at least 4 years too late with these thoughts.
