  1. I would get a football man on the board, preferably an ex- villa player or manager to add a bit more knowledge into running a football side rather than just a business.
  2. Just when I thought things couldn't get any worse
  3. As bad as things are Villa come first for me, we need all the support we can get.
  4. My brother and I have decided to renew, I've not handed the cash over yet but even if the worst happens it probably won't stop me. It was a difficult decision but theres only so much soccer saturday and shopping I can take and £295 makes it easier.
  5. We're buying someone to replace Heskey that is the Bent and Weimann back up.. I doubt they will both get injured at the same time. I would never say never, have you seen our treatment room at the minute?
  6. I think the only ones who can say 'the gods have conspired against us' is us fans. Who on Earth could have predicted this time last year that we would have the noses boss in charge this year and be in the same mess all over again with the threat of relegation looming.
  7. Had Hutton improved because he is not playing? You do realise that was Lihaj on saturday?
  8. The problem is the likes of Paul Faulkner are probably telling him that he is and unfortunately now he has got injuries to hide behind. I think we'll be ok this season but really not looking forward to next.
  9. Weren't your mate Merson was it?
  10. Yeah Stoke is considered part of the midlands as it comes under Staffordshire. The midlands is quite a big area of the country and not just the West Midlands. Anyway, trying to look on the bright side at least this season we shouldn't be finishing bottom of the midlands clubs. I personally prefer to see as many more local games as possible and hope to see the likes of Derby, Forest and Leicester get back up, even Small Heath to an extent.
  11. We could do with some sort of pie chart really
  12. Didn't realise that the 'ammers already have Macron supplying their kit, so if you want to see what a claret and blue kit of theirs looks like... see West Ham
  13. How far off is Enda Stevens? I didn't really see him playing for Shamrock but I believe he's starting this week.
  14. Had a quick chat with Martin Laursen last night, he said he's still working on tv and doing some coaching, I asked if there's any chance he could bring his boots next time he's over. He said 'you never know' when I asked if he might come back and coach at Villa.
  15. This is not true, Huttons job was to mark and track Young, which is what he was doing in the build up to the goal. The run was made by Nani who should have been tracked by one of our midfield, probably Herd. The reason Hutton was getting pulled up the pitch was due to Young and Evra coupled with the fact Albrighton wasnt tracking back much. How do you know his job was to mark Young? Surely his first job is to play his position of right back. He is a right wing back at best in that he is no better than ok defensively or going forward, i've tried giving him a chance but unfortunately we've bought a dud. Young would have done us for a good while longer.
  16. Thought he might get in squad with Jenas being out, think he should be in the squad most weeks now.
  17. Good move. Its gets him in the shop window. Interesting way Doncaster are operating at the minute, they are getting players in on loan not playing much of a wage and putting them in the shop window for clubs and if what I remember is correct get themself a fee if they get sold on.
  18. He didn't pass his test that long ago did he? I wonder when he was shopped as it may be difficult to prove drink driving, doesn't make it any better whether he was drinking or not. Anyway he's not the first and won't be the last unfortunately. Way too much money and too much time to use it how they like.
  19. Super Mario. No brains and money are a dangerous but sometimes brilliant combination.
  20. A totally pointless substitution yesterday. He is experienced yes, but unless he is being brought on up top for a spot of hoofball then I don't see the point. He is not and never will be a, an attacking midfielder.
  21. He was probably our best player until the incident, haven't seen a replay yet but surely where there is any doubt the referee needs to look at the reaction of the players involved. Don't like that the ref didn't go over to the lino see exactly what he saw before puling the card out.
