  1. for me we need 5 in midfield. either as a flat 5, or as a 2 and a 3. Sinclair Westwood Gil Delph Sanchez it provides width so we are not relying on Hutton and Sissoko to get up and down the pitch (and leave themselves exposed) it also packs the middle of the park so we are a bit more difficult to play against. yeah I would play Westwood in front of Delph and Sanchez, he could do the "Barry" role, get the ball and give it to the more dangerous players (Sinclair, Gil, Benteke) Westwood isnt very good at tracking his man, or any midfield runners from the opposition, but play him a bit further up and let Delph and Sanchez be the legs.
  2. I rate him very highly If Westwood's surname was Gardner this thread would be a spunkathon.
  3. happened to me too, i even went to the length of explaining to them that my wife wasn't parked for 9 hours, she dropped me into work and picked me up again when I finished, sent them the parking tickets for when my wife was out and about on the day and they ignored everything. then I read the forum suggested above and ignored them.
  4. My thoughts exactly Now now lads. He got 14 goals largely from a struggling Reading's bench last season. Now given that he's 26 he's probably way way too old for Lambert, but I think he has shown he's good enough particularly for what would be a substitute's role. One thing's for sure too and that's that he showed he knows how to make an impact off the bench in the Premier League. Fair point BOF, that being said though I just don't see how he would progress us, I'd imagine that's as good as he'll ever be and we could probably get a lot more potential for the same price and wages and younger. A quick question as I don't really follow the championship. Why doesn't this guy get many starts given he seems to score very very regularly from the bench? I believe it is called ole-gunnar-itis.
  5. I'm going for the PS4 - was a massive Xbox fanboy this generation but the wife bought me a PS3 for my birthday and have been playing through the Uncharted trilogy, and now playing the last of us. I honestly cant think of a better xbox exclusive than the last of us. Plus with the money I will save on the PS4 i could buy fifa and a years PS+.
  6. Clowns, Clowns are like a 10 on the whole "shit myself" scale. but clowns that are evil / nasty - pennywise, krusty, they dont bother me in the slightest, Ronald Mc chuffin Donald on the other hand
  7. The bloke i worth with is a Spurs fan. in his opinion if they keep bale then they will win the league, without him they will only get champions league. i have to listen to his drivel every day and for that reason alone i despise spurs.
  8. finally bought a PS3 again after selling my original one years ago, finished Uncharted 2 last night and will get straight into Uncharted 3 when i get the chance.
  9. yep.. should have said it. I work by Snow Hill Station so going on on Lunch is like walking through a minefield as they are everywhere, although you can play a few games with the chuggers (charity muggers). answer EVERY question with "hmmm... what do you think" or "but whats it all about" and see how long you can make the conversation last. its like stringing along the people who phone you about your PPI, but with the added bonus of seeing their facial expressions. I once told the accident helpline people who hang around by Sainsbury's / Wh Smith that I had shit myself, i kept him talking for a good 5 minutes before he eventually told me to go away.
  10. nope, she had been saying she would help out for a few months beforehand but then had to work on Sunday. Turns out she didnt go to work at all, she didnt realise I was staying home to look after my daughter. The woman is a nightmare, she owes her mom and dad close to £10k (she rents a house off them) she is always late with the rent, doesnt pay it in full or doesnt pay it at all... yet has always got plenty of money for new clothes and shoes, has just booked an all inclusive holiday for her, her fella and her kid. The worst part is that she boasts about all the material stuff she gets to her Mom and Dad. They have got to the point where they are going to sell the house she rents but feel terrible becuase they will be kicking their grandaughter out.. My sister in law uses this to her advantage. I despise the woman. Wow. i feel great now.
  11. My Sister-in-law, Jesus H Crist that woman gets on my nerves.. she has to be involved in everything. for example, this weekend my heavily pregnant wife was doing a car boot to get rid of a load of our daughters old clothes so we can use the money to buy new ones for the boy we are expecting. so at 5am my mother and father in law came and picked up the Mrs and loaded the van... As a way of saying thanks I cooked a massive dinner and let them take some home. the sister in law heard about it and has kicked off because she didnt have an invite to dinner, then changed it to "I didnt make her any dinner" the woman is 30 years old and lives with her 8 year old daughter and her partner. If neither of you can be arsed to cook then that is your fault. I could tell you hundreds of stories but will save them till my next rant about her.
  12. I believe Bent will leave on the last day of the transfer window, clubs will want him because he is a goalscorer - that is his game, therefore he wont need a great deal of time to settle in with team mates (ie pre-season). because of the wages he is on here, other clubs can wait till the last day and save themselves a good wedge knowing he can slot straight into the team.
  13. he gets the ball, he shoots at goal Niklas Hele-ni-us to the chorus of Titanium by David Guetta?
  14. I'm jumping on the clean sheet bandwagon... although I did eat a lot of cheese earlier.
  15. Fantastic news... and a massive statement in that we are not prepared to be bullied into selling players, the next few years are going to be quite promising and with the likes of Benteke, Weimann, Lowton, Okore, Westwood, Sylla et-al on our books we needed to show we are not going to just roll over and give in the second a club comes sniffing. UTV
  16. Hopefully by crunching him in a 5-a-side and putting him out of action till the 1st of September.
  17. I'm sorry but having gone to school down the road from Yardley in Acocks Green, and also worked for a year in Yardley, there is absolutely no way it's 'quite a nice area'. It's chavvy, the pubs are rough and I've seen rats running out of people's front gardens. I grew up in Yardley, it does have its good and bad parts, but it is a nice area. Acocks Green on the other hand!! Gospel lane alone is worse than all the bad parts of Yardley... I lived in Pollard Road for 5 years and could not wait to get out of there. the first week I moved in I was filling a skip and from the time it took to go upstairs to get some stuff to put in the skip and back downstairs some kids had set the skip on fire! lets not have a competition of whose shit area is better or worse,,, ive got a cousin who lives in Alum Rock.
  18. I live less than a minute from where this happened and it is definately an isolated incident (as horrific as it may be) Yardley is quite a nice area.. made even better than the weatherspoons pub that opened last year that resulted in the Yew Tree pub closing. (the Weatherspoons has bouncers) the shooting in Sheldon was a case of mistaken identity and I have friends who knew the victim very very well. as other have said, you get good and bad in every area, it is a shame that in the last few months 2 innocent lives have been taken and families ruined.
