  1. Its basically one of those things that has been repeated over and over on VT and is now taken as gospel on here, with very little basis in reality
  2. I'm fairly certain Carney has a decent grip on his sense of gender identity, in fairness
  3. Hearing that Dinamo Zagreb and Panathanaikos ultras grouped up to attack AEK fans
  4. Rangers got to the Europa League final two years ago, and both Celtic and Rangers qualified for the CL group stage last year, so Scotland's coefficient has improved recently
  5. Derry City are my second team so really hoping for this, would be surreal
  6. Depends, have I touched a nerve? FWIW, I'm in my early 30s now and have definitely reached the stage myself where newer music styles tend to just pass me by, and thus the cycle continues
  7. This is undoubtedly true for other scenarios, but when it comes to music IME it is almost always the inverse of this, with older generations completely dismissing what younger people listen to
  8. Which one of these is meant to look good? Both are rank
  9. Cod Pot in Cotteridge was my favourite when I was in South Brum, better than Dad's Lane up the road IMO. B My Chip in Sutton never disappoints as well
  10. Ability-wise then definitely, lacked the footballing intelligence for the top level though IMO
  11. Exactly my point mate. Even with the biased survey design, only 50% of people voted in favour, and they're using that as justification. This was obviously happening either way, asking fans about it was a formality
  12. Flitting between thinking this is madness and booking myself a hotel...
  13. Largely food and drink service, but also generally being unorganised and a bit chaotic. All adding up to a feeling that the event was not worth anything like the money paid for it. Villa Park as a concert venue will obviously competing with other large arenas in the area which are much more established for this type of event, so real effort will be needed from the club if they see this as a permanent means of generating income EDIT: just to add to this, one person told me that the general experience of the Springsteen gig was absolutely lightyears behind that of gigs at the Ricoh
  14. Have heard nothing but negative feedback from the various people I know who have gone to gigs at the stadium this summer, largely for reasons that we would all recognise. If the club wants to maintain this as a revenue stream long term (and justify the vast price increases in match day tickets over the past few seasons), they really need to put some work into improving facilities and the general experience within the stadium
