I don't think that was a pen.. but we've seen those given this year. I'd just like some consistency from the refs, and looking at that with one ref (the var) thinking it's a foul and the on the field ref saying no, we might be waiting for that

Just listened to interview with Paul Cook and Danny Cowley(think it was one NTT20 podcast). It helped me get a much better understanding of some of the behind the scenes stuff that managers go through.

exactly. I thought he was extremely insightful, and I could easily tell he was used to commentating just by the way he spoke. Not everyone has to have won anything to provide good analysis He's apparently come stateside, and has been on several networks (which is uncommon over here as far as i know)

if this were the point where refs started overturning these type of calls and being consistent, I would be fine with it. But I know they won't which is the problem

yeah when I watched it live I thought Trez went down way to easily. But there was definite contact. If it hadn't been given on the pitch, there wasn't; enough to overturn for me. Also haven't seen other decisions like that get overturned this season which is why it stings more
