  1. Yes as long as you have something like this, then should be OK.
  2. "D sounds like B - So Stourbridge has a B (D) postcode"
  3. Yes - get the NHS app*, select "NHS covid pass", "domestic", then it shows a QR code. The internet at VP will be awful so if you scroll down a bit there's an option to download a PDF copy or email it to yourself and print. If I recall correctly you need some form of ID and your NHS number to sign up to the NHS app. It can take a couple of days for them to verify the details so I'd do it now!
  4. Just play the odd dodgy VAR decision on the big screen. That sorted the atmosphere out against Leicester!
  5. Thanks for that Rev. Obviously I don't know the ins and outs, but I recall there used to be many "football special" trains which I presume were additional support to the existing trains (always diesel, never electric). I agree you can't block the line for an hour but potentially additional trains to coincide with 30mins from full time could clear a lot of people in around 15 minutes. Im not sure how many trains that would interrupt in 15 minutes. Agree at the moment everything is a mess, I'm more thinking longer term should we expand the stadium.
  6. That would cost around £1.5 Billion, no one in going to risk that. Banks wouldn't lend it because 4 years ago we nearly went out of business. 3 weeks ago even we were potentially looking at a relegation fight. The reason they can do that in America, is because the NFL is fixed financially therefore there is a guaranteed Return on investment. LA Rams or Vegas can be the worst team on earth and they'll still make 100s of millions. The reason Spurs did it was because it's in London, extra corporates and other stadium uses (NFL) will cover it. They are also a small risk of relegation. When Spurs were at their height (Pochettino, doing well in the league), Levy cleverly negotiated a long term loan for the build.
  7. The party needs to make a change at the top, or there will be mass resignations: me included.
  8. From a political bombshell perspective this is the perfect crime as it's equally upset everyone. If they can't get Johnson out now, then they never will. Generally speaking: Left: Something to pin on the tories, another example of us vs them. Rules dont apply to the Etonians etc. Obviously untrustworthy which will follow the government. Centre & non political: What absolute *****'s thinking they are better than us when I couldn't see my Nan last Christmas? Right: Anti Lockdowns mainly, re-enforces the point they were unecesary. Will completely revolt against any further restrictions. Overall: I don't believe many people will take the notice of new restrictions imposed by this government (probably today) Ultimately it could cost lives. Before i'm castigated, I am a member of the Conservative party (for local reasons, not national). They all have to go and today.
  9. No, was awful. People were queuing all the way down to near Waterworks street. Then having to step onto the busy road to join the queue, dodging traffic doing U-Turns because police blocked the road going the other way. Really don't understand why they don't "stack" 5/6 trains for a 15-20 minute period and have a few dozen coaches heading to new street and Star City.
  10. Tarkowski is an interesting one this winter. £20-30mill for a player out of contract is good business, but strengthening a rival and weakening yourself for the relegation fight. If he kick up a fuss, might be an opportunity for another club to come in and steal him from under Newcastles nose.
  11. Ian Taylor referred to their board / directors as "classless" a while ago. I think it was after the 1:1 malarkey.
  12. He's looked a little "shy" in his previous appearances. Not exactly demanding the ball or making space, was actually a few mutterings in the Holte of him hiding against City. Yesterday was a huge improvement. He had the confidence to take on and beat (quite easily) Maddison, and was happy to take the ball with 2 midfielders surrounding him and win the free kick which ended the game. Really good signs and happy it appears he is the "go to man" at home in that narrow front 3.
  13. Any new away ground will do. Unfortunately it will be something excruciatingly boring like Southampton away.
  14. Evans is close with Jacks brother. That's his ticket to being a proper sports Journalist and basically dined out on the Grealish saga for the last 2/3 summers. He literally knows nothing else about the club at all.
  15. They have Wales number 1 a their backup keeper and he looks decent. Amazed he hasn't been given a chance. Kasper completely folded in front of the Holte yesterday and it was glorious to witness. TBF to Leicester fans, as with many decisions the foul on Dewsbury Hall would have 1000000% been given a penalty if it was Bruno Fernandes at Old Trafford. That's the whole problem with VAR and refereeing on the whole.
  16. Every single "proper" Man City fan I know says this. The majority of players struggle first season under pep (Silva and Cancelo were awful) and comes good after 12-18months.
  17. I live in Leicester (yes I have my Villa scarf today :D) The feeling is "its gone a bit stale", also Leicester fans know the second a decent job comes along he will be off in a heartbeat. Fans openly revolting against his starting lineup (no Perez, Iheanacho). Seems a matter of time, although what manager will Leicester attract better than Rodgers? Be careful what you wish for!
  18. It will take decades for them to build up the match day revenue that Liverpool and Man United generate. Man City have the pre oil money fanbase, but many of the newer fans are kids and newer people living in the country who choose an English team (they have a growing Polish fanbase for example). The majority of Man U and Liverpools match-day revenue comes from 35-45 year old 'die hard' fans living in the Cotwolds. They started off glory hunting in school (im 34 and half my school were glory hunting Man U fans) Now they've grown up, they go to 2 matches a year, buy merchandise, food, put a bet on and of course take the photo in front of the ground holding a scarf in the air. Those 10-20,000 additional fans are where the serious revenue comes from. If Man City keep on going well, those youngsters who glory hunt now will go onto be those same "die hard Man City fans" living in the Cotswolds.
  19. Back OT - What's happened to Marcus Rashford? He's been awful for nearly 2 years now. Doesn't seem to get criticised the same as Dele, but he's been every single bit as awful.
  20. There's 30,660 days in 84 years. Technically at least 1 person should die the day of each home game with a normal attendance of 41k. I know there's semantics around age adjustments, but you get the point. Lots of people. It happens. Just being highlighted more now.
  21. Gerrard just has something, almost intangible about his management. Firstly, you can tell he has extremely high standards and that's carried over from his playing days. He was a world class elite footballer and understands the dedication and effort it takes. He now expects that from every single one of his players. And. unlike Rangers if a player doesn't want to give that we have to resources to bring in a quality replacement. With his backroom staff, he is humble enough to admit he needs help from a training and perhaps tactical perspective (Beale, Gary Mac) He has that raw passion of a Simeone, Guardiola, younger Mourinho etc He is still an idol to many football players, so commands that instant respect. If he tells a Mcginn, Nakamba, Luis etc that wasn't good enough they have no choice but to listen. It's no coincidence that our midfield unit has immediately improved. He talks well and just "gets it".
  22. Most Everton fans actually want Rooney and Duncan Ferguson. They've had 5 managers in 5/6 years and some good ones! The problem is clearly with their recruitment. Walcott 20m, Iwobi 30m, sigurddson 50m, gbamin 30m, Sneiderlin 30m. James Rodriguez was an expensive disaster with his wages. They need to reset for 2/3 years, get rid of the dead wood and build a proper team.
  23. They'll probably offer crazy wages and signing bonus for a 6 month loan to mercenaries who just don't play for their teams (coutinho, Bale, umtiti, lingard). Risk free for Newcastle, mercenary players will have a chance of a 2/3 year contract on crazy money if Newcastle stay up. Agents will push heavily as they will want an ongoing relationship with Newcastle.
  24. Saturday 3pm, we would easily sell out 50k each week. It's the midweek games with late kick offs when the majority of families don't go that will always be the issue.
  25. With a 10k increase, I don't think they'll add many season tickets, maybe 3/4k (to appease the masses). Hospitality (obviously) and single tickets is where the money Is made. People who go to 1,2 games per year spend more money on merchandise, food, drinks etc. Im a season ticket holder and barely spend anything when I go to home games. Increasing the "family area" plus hospitality is where the money is. I took my kids to a game (they go 1,2 times a year), sat in the North Stand, must have spent 250 quid on tops, food and the tickets. Most games I spend £5 on parking and not a penny more.
