  1. What i like about Smith is in his post match interviews it sounds like he's actually watched the same match as me, rather than living in some fantasy land like a few previous managers. We'll be fine. Smith will learn from this. Let's not start getting tetchy after losing our first match against top opposition when were still trying to integrate about a billion new players please. Bournemouth at home next. I haven't looked forward to a match like this for decades.
  2. Man U should have bought him, if they actually had any interest at £50m. He's exactly what they need and hell cost a lot more than that next summer of they want to try for him.
  3. Whatever happens, let's keep hold of this guy and try and stay behind the team. We're gonna get some drubbings, were bound to at least flirt with the relegation zone through the season. If the worst happens we'll still be in a good place for next season. We know we can be quite wuick to turn, let's try and lose that habit. We've all had a big dose of reality over the past three years and I think it's been good for our souls. I actually don't think any of the promoted managers will be sacked this year. If any of them do sack the manager then I think they've made a big mistake.
  4. Any jobs for slightly crap IT people pop up make sure you give me a shout! Nice work if you can get it mate, fair play to ya!
  5. Transfers falling through due to disagreements over image rights. **** the modern world.
  6. How do you go about moving to the Cayman Islands? Can I come with you?
  7. I would have liked a winger as Smith liked swapping the wingers at 60 minutes last year, and I like that as a move against tired defences. All four could have got gametime most matches. I guess Kodj and Elmo might fill in, but Benrahma would've been nice. I also like Kodj as a backup striker. People seem to have forgotten how good he was that one season, and 9 goals last year as a bit part player isn't to be sniffed at. With the dangerous players we have around him I think he'll be ace.
  8. "there could be some progress on Benhrama" Well no shit Sherlock. Whatever happens now he's 'right'.
  9. Amsterdam gets about a billion tourists a year though. Birmingham gets 12.
  10. I saw tons of pages since yesterday and thought something had happened. **** sake lads.
  11. If it was going to happen it should be 2022 while the Alexandra is temporarily 40k for the games. It shouldn't and won't happen though.
  12. WTF. So it's the normal Auto Windscreens things, but with 16 Academy teams, and we're one of them? Cool.
  13. Since Heaton was simultaneously at the Belfry and in Portugal I'm not trusting enough to believe he's on the plane just yet!
  14. We're all talking as if it's a done deal... is there any confirmation yet? I don't trust paper bollocks.
  15. Konsa for £12m and Tuanzebe on loan for a year would be great business. Gives Konsa the year to settle, play cup games, come off the bench and generally cover Tuanzebe and Mings, then when we send Tuanzebe back next year he'll hopefully be ready to make the step up. If he's not, we'll know from how he does this season so can look elsewhere if required.
  16. Only as location... doesn't mention LUFC on his bio.
  17. Didn't 11m people watch the semi-final the other day?
  18. Fair enough, if they're doing clickbait like that then that's annoying, but that's the club being a bunch of twerps rather than women's football more generally.
  19. I think it's good. For not much money (in the grand scheme of things) we could really make something of the women's team. I'm not happy that the shit play in the league above us for one thing... let's sort that out at least. As for it being 'forced' on you... come off it, if you don't like it then don't read or look at it. Having to skip past a tweet as it's about the women is not being 'forced' anything.
  20. Yeah, that's crazy. I'm hoping it goes on length of service rather than number of aways....
  21. "set to launch bid" - so-called journalists these days really are stealing a living.
  22. Ha, that's true! I hope you're right - what you said about a goal is exactly that. Nothing compares to being in the ground when we score, it's transcendental. You just don't get that watching on a TV. If they take that magic away, that's a big part of the reason for attending taken away.
