I went for a routine check up at my NHS dentist and during the check up, the dentist rather coldly told me a crown needed fitting. He said he could book me in (about 5 month's time) as NHS or he could do it there and then privately. I was rather flush at the time so i said crack on and do it now...for about £140. All of a sudden and as if a switch had been flicked in his brain, he was all over me, calling me Sir, going OTT with the charm, care and attention. It wasn't even subtly done. Even his dental assistant looked away embarrassed as i raised my eyebrows at her whilst he went to his pc to show me the x rays he'd taken. Gangster.

I've just come back after having a large latte in selfridges. In my book i am now a proppa brummie cos I've been drinking in town. Mate.

The worst it ever got for me if we lost was when i was at school, spent all my week's pocket money to stand on the holte only to see us lose to stoke or norwich. On my way home from the sat 3pm kick off (how old fashioned !) I then remembered i had all my homework to do on Sunday, but that was as bad as it got for me. Some have said it's their religion, their drug of choice and it's so bloody hard to break the habit. Things like getting a villa tattoo of a player, the club badge etc, just doesn't appeal to me either but each to their own.

Quite often, i lie awake at night and random people from back in the day pop in to my mind...old school mates, girls i had a teen crush on, tv and sporting celebrities as well as pop bands and so on. I wonder whatever happened to them and where they are now. I promise myself to look them up on Wikipedia, google or Facebook......but by the time i wake up the next day I've clean forgotten who to search for. Its happened quite a few times now and i am well annoyed. One for the boring thread i suppose...

My missus has a fabia monte carlo 1.4 petrol and although its a bit small for me long term, i love driving it. My 1.7 ix35 is loads bigger of course but its sluggish in comparison being a diesel. Am really impressed by Skoda that i might go for one of their crossovers

On a similar note, I see that you can get celebrities to do dedicated short video messages - Keith from the office, michael owen, john barnes, other tv & sports stars all for varying amounts...........the company also offers Wayne Lineker to do such a message for £50............apart from being Gary's brother & sh*gging some bird years younger than him, what the eff is he famous for ?! Even his bar is only feeding off his brother's career. Who next ? Gemma Collins !!??

I agree to an extent but i swear I've seen them go for catches in to the sun not wearing them. I wonder if they are just a fashion accessory at times I wore yellow lensed glasses when i played cricket if the weather was overcast and it does improve visibility. Meh.
