Stones is shit. Henderson done one or two good things, likewise Sterling. Delph by far the best midfielder for England though. Should also have won a pen!

For me, it's gotta now be this: Guzan Hutton, Vlaar, Senderos, Cissokho Sanchez Delph, Cleverly Gabby, Weimann, Grealish I'd swap the weakest of the front three for Benteke when he's back to form.

I just hope that, whenever he does play regularly and isn't on top form, he doesn't get the stick that Gabby and Weimann get.

Well said mate! We're often too quick to criticise players for mistakes and yet, we're all not perfect ourselves. It seems to me like concrete Ron finally has someone alongside him he can trust and if he's good enough for the Captain, he should be good enough for us.

To be honest, I'd rather he didn't play for any international team as he'll only end up being tapped up, get injured or, have his confidence knocked.

A season long loan deal is much better than shelling out £8m on him IMO. Let's face it, he is still going to want to play well for us anyway because he will want to earn a new deal whether it is us or a new club. Seems like a win-win situation for the Villa and that'll do for me

I watched him play for Leeds once in a League One game, alongside Delph. He scored a great goal in that game and afterwards, when we were linked with Delph, I was hoping we'd go in for Puncheon instead. Like someone else said, he's inconsistent. Also, seems a bit mental too. But, can't argue about how well he played against us in the past. I wouldn't mind him being at the Villa.

Loving the names being touted around the Premier League clubs in this transfer window. Christian Fuchs and Rod Fanni are my two favourites. I was trying to imagine a situation whereby they played for the same team - say Hull - and the commentator went something like: "Huddlestone, Fuchs, Fanni" that would be TV commentary entertainment right there . Back to the Villa, does anyone actually know anything about who we might be signing? Ayew sounds like a good signing if we could make that happen.

I was sat by a bloke watching the game yesterday and he too was saying something about a takeover being completed but, that the new owner didn't want it announced until after deadline day. I didn't bother asking his source 'cos I thought maybe he was just on the wind-up. If it is true, it could only be done that way for a reason and surely that would be because we are doing some decent deals before this window closes. I personally think this is all BS and people wishing for something that won't happen. I can't see it happening but, you have to question the logic behind the Cleverly situation whereby Villa have had an £8m accepted by Man United. Where did we suddenly find that money if there's no new owner? It would be really nice if us Villa fans could have a really exciting day today, for a change!
