  1. I had massive amounts of problems at school and I mean huge. I was that loner type person in school unfortunately, I had lots of undiagnosed things that were missed until my late 30's FFS (I got meds and a list of stuff wrong but at least I know why now :-)) and I spent most of my middle teens been chased all over the place by various people. "Evil" is a word that does not belong in this conversation, I doubt the thoughts were "Do evil", I genuinely think it was an explode type thing of years of frustration, I often felt like exploding but I was more inclined to cause my self problems that anyone else, luckily. The question that is important here IMO, "was he made or born like this", I am 100 % in the "made" category on this occasion because if the bullying stories and loner stories are true then the law of averages says one kid will go very wrong. One of the sickest people on the planet in recent times was bullied by everyone (Mr Pee Wee gaskins is a good example) he ever met in his childhood, sometimes something snaps and that's it. (TBF his name did not help his cause).
  2. Get yourself a Jawbone UP (or similar device). I have one and I got it primarily to monitor my sleep patterns (Deep / Light sleep + wake when and how long.) It tells you exactly how much sleep you have had and if and when you woke up. After a week or so you have some data : - You can now try to see the days you slept well, why ? Early bedtime ? Walk before bed, no Tablets , drink before bed, milk before bed, hat on , hat off etc...... Track it down and then experiment with times and whatever, you will eventually get a script that will give you the best chance of sleep. (Not always but you will know what DOES NOT WORK) After a while the quality of sleep will improve for you and you will have the information and data to back it up. Worked for me and I have a much better nights sleep these days. HTH Neil D

  4. That's me that is apparently. I will carry this around like Jesus and his cross but in a good way.
  5. I have the other way around. I have been to the doctor about something and he told me I was there 18 months earlier with the same thing and he told me again that he could not do anything about it and said given the choice (High / Low) pressure then low is the way to go bro. I remember nothing about the previous visit and he even showed me the notes he made. Symptoms.:- (Low blood pressure / I see stars when I sneeze / Headaches in the morning / The ability to float 10 cms of the floor at will)
  6. I think the best part of a pizza is the crust..... I think I may be on my own here! Nope, I'm with you on that one. (Pizza in general amazes me, so many people are fooled into thinking it's some great food type, it's not, it's ****) So you throw away the Pizza and just eat the crust? I would never buy one but the mrs does them as an emergency type thing when needed. I eat the the crusts + little bit that connects it to the main bit. So I only eat 25 % max. It's a rotten to the core way of serving cheese and tomato IMO who are not that great heated IMO. (I don't melt cheese on toast either as that's proper wrong.((Cheshire cheese + tomato source, a posh pizza on square bread, radical :-))) Are you in mental in the face? I don't know what to say.
  7. I don't and never will go food shopping (or clothes shopping) if I can help it. Especially in Holland where 5 tills in a Supermarket is considered quite a lot. (I told some people at work that the ASDA in minworth has 70 + tills, no one believes me .

  10. The Villa are currently 13/5 to win this game. Now, to say I have had my fingers burnt this season in bettering on the Villa would be a understatement. However, this seems (even with out current form) a bit too high IMO.
  11. Sid is one of the best players I have ever seen play for the Villa. His addition to the first team coaching staff will hopefully get the crowd back on side. Now the Vila can't pass to each other to save their lives at the moment, if passing is the problem then we have the master. Let's be positive
  12. It's just the Tory way. They like to get the the poor, sick or people caring for others to live life on the edge of a cliff, better to keep them thinking "Where's my next meal" than anything else. This is the price you pay for not being one of "Them" To go to a food bank to get food for your kids must be truly heartbreaking. It must amuse Tory supporters immensely when they go to sleep at night that there are toddlers around the country crying them selves to sleep from hunger. This is the Tory supporters ideal world, crying and distraught poor children.
  13. Anyone heard anything regarding the sale of AVFC to someone who something in Texas in the summer? (I have got this via via via so just wondering) ?
  14. 4 players is not a squad though. I agree we have been unlucky with injuries to our best players but our history is covered with this. When these players got / get injured none of us are even remotely surprised. If we could bet on injuries I would be able to buy the Villa anyway. If we have a striker that is quality look back over our recent history and see the injury / loss of form / attitude / sold on car crash type luck we have to endure. From memory I think we have had players break legs, cruciate ligs etc wither in their 1st or 2nd game for us. It's not rocket science. If you think we need 2, we need 4. Until this is understood by the Villa we will continue like this. Don't forget they never come back stronger, G Shaw as the greatest example of this.
  15. I am with you on this. If he can't fix what is wrong with ANOTHER transfer window then I think its time to part ways. The shotgun approach of buying loads of 5h1t for as cheap as is possible is getting us nowhere. It's not just this though, imagine if this season was your first season as a season ticket holder or similar, I mean WTF, what possible incentive is there to get another ticket when in reality you would be better off going to the away games for entertainment.
  16. Not going to happen, new manager = new ideas = new players (Even cheaper than the last lot) The one thing the Villa don't want us to have is hope. If we get above 8th or 9th in the league I think Lerner starts to worry (OH god, they might want to push for the champions league) Dunno, I am a bit cynical about it all at the moment.
  17. I think most of the problems stem from our style of football. Out of all the tactics out there, the way we play is a) the most boring to watch hardly a reason for quality players to join us c) It does not work at all when playing at home d) It relies on luck a lot of the time tbh e) It removes any media impact as no one talks about how we play f) It is by far the cheapest way of playing to maintain, speed is always cheaper than skill which is a fantastic coincidence g) we have a few people who can head a ball so its important to have virtually no players who can go past someone and cross the ball, this is vital for our style of play to stay sh1 t. h) Possession is nine tenths of the game, without the ball is a bad thing. This concept is lost on the Villa at the moment. Some games we are 70/30 or even worse and then we break away and score *This is the luck element at play I feel. Sit on the edge of you 18 yard box for long enough then yeah, we might nick the ball or the opponent might **** up. Great, this is not football, this is waiting for a go of the ball while the big kids have a kick around. It's no surprise either we have so many Yellow cards, Quite difficult to get Yellow cards with the ball so this stat says it all really.
  18. OK, thanks for the good replies. I will take a view based on the balanced replies above. I can see problems though, if they "Streamline " the Royal Mail and lay off a few 1000 people then the strain is back on the benefit system supporting these people, they will then increase tax for lower earners to pay for this. Dunno, tying myself in knots :-) (I am studying accountancy at the moment but why are things like this not investigated ? FCA etc?) I don't think lefties or righties is really the way forward in the modern world. To strive for a fundamentally fairer framework that can cope with the changing world in terms of new technologies or trading methods would be substantially better than the 2 party thing, it is obviously broke, the simple sell off of an asset to get it listed provokes such different views of it (as above) something cannot be right.
  19. At the risk of sounding a bit thick. In reference to the Royal Mail sell off. How can the Government sell something to people with enough money to buy shares that the population owned anyway ? So it's a nationalised company that goes public to be then owned by a tiny segment of the population (as opposed to everyone owning a small bit). The tiny segment of people with money to burn buy the shares and make more money but what doe the average person get out of it.
  20. Probably some kind of collective consciousness predictive text thing due to so many people writing: The iPhone: it's shit. Keep it quiet, they don't know :-) They are all going to go mad when they find out though.
  21. I would think they have a plan if they only get into the Europa, wonder if they have a plan without European football at all ? It would be fantastic to see, get into loads of debt to buy players and wages then some sort of financial melt down hopefully. Moyes is finished, they don't believe his tactics and they were half a yard short of effort vs Man City, 2nd to the ball all the time is in the heads of the players, not physical ability. Truly brilliant to watch the scum turn on Fergie as well, showing there true colours. Long drive home for most of them as well.
  22. I was in Birmingham last weekend and the family went out for dinner, my folks 45th wedding anniversary. General chit chat about TV and films. My dad pipes up (loud, he had had a few by then) , "We went to the Cinema last week, we saw that "12 days a slave", really good it was" I said, "With the best will in the world, that does not sound that bad tbh, 2 weeks !!!, what's the fuss about?" My brother nearly died laughing, as did the table next door. It's the little things in life
  23. If there was a DNA register that was free to go on and be kept on would you go on it ? If all the normal people with nothing to hide went on to it, then surely all detection of crimes would become easier and faster ? Eventually it would hopefully be the normal thing to do at say aged 18. (Maybe even a small decrease in a tax to encourage take up (Something tiny, like 0.5% of one of the many taxes) (Logic is that the person on the database would never need to be interviewed or even looked at so thus reducing the investigation time and helping justice be more efficient?)
