V - Brian Little and Dennis Mortimer who got 45 minutes between then, don't forget Heskey played for Liverpool - which also ups your England cap count. Davis has no great count in assists though either - last season we have Terry, Jedinak in our defence IMO that was the bigger reason for us being so tight at the back. I don't possibly see how you can justify a strikers inclusion because he helps the defence. The simple concept here is good strikers score goals...period.
  2. Could we raise £40m without selling Grealish:- £8m Albert £8M Chester £10 kjodia .....????
  3. So the fire sales commence ? - and Xia arrives with a supply of brown envelopes - crooked bastard...

Guilty as charged - I never rated Heskey either. Football is a simple game - I like strikers who score goals. One with massive potential, or a massive handful don't really appeal to me. Just give me one who will next season put the ball in the net on a regular basis

Scoring goals is difficult. Thats why strikers who can score goals command such big fees I was talking Davis's on going shortage of goals . But you're not seriously blaming Davis's lack of goals on Kjodia ? - Kjodia barely played last season - and after the initial flurry Davis struggled for goals - I don't even think Kjodia was in the team most of that time - I also believe Kjodia passed to Hourihane for his goal today - and Kjodia's pass completion rate from his first seasons quite high.

Still looks short of goals for me. If a reasonable offer £5m+ came I would take the calculated gamble that his lack of goals will continue to plague him.
  7. From what I saw today Corey Taylor looks to play very similar to grealish. Quite impressed with him today.
  8. I was jokin - in response to comment about scouts watching him. I thought he looked pretty good TBH.

Don't think he has done great today (Telford)
  10. Seems to me Xia won't sell to anyone outside china. Perhaps he can lean on a few people in china to look the other way - where as if he sells elsewhere any sale will be scrutinised more closely ....all IMO of course.
  11. To far to soon ? https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-asia-china-44816715 An explosion at an industrial park in China's Sichuan province
  12. He had been trying to sell the club for a number years before he officially put it up for sale. Like Xia now his asking price was to high initially. Randy took a massive loss on Villa, but he purchased us with solid cash - whilst it may have been painful to lose all the cash - the cash was his to lose. I believe to a greater or lesser extent Xia used borrowed cash, a realistic sale price for the club now wouldn't cover that borrowing, Xia can not afford to sell us IMO thats the only reason he is still here. 3 options:- 1. Out of the blue some someone offers £80m for a club that might at best be worth £40m 2.We go into administration and Xia is forced to sell 3.The club becomes so poor and so loss making - that xia cuts his losses and lowers the asking price Sadly 2 & 3 are much more likely than 1 !

    Liverpool

You can't say that about one of the bastions of English football - who buck to modern trend of paying multi millions for players, and produce home grown talent instead - well so I read in a newspaper anyway. You must have heard of the Anfield boot room ? surely... And there fans are fantastic - never causing any trouble - and those who stoned the Man City team bus - and sent death threats to one of there own players they are just imposters ! Liverpool FC - Offended by everything, ashamed of nothing.
  14. England exceeded my expectations ...but:- They will never have a better chance of reaching the world cup final. When you get to the semi final you aren't going to come against mugs - but Croatia will be one of the easier draws - to then be 1-0 up at Half time - and should have been more, you really have one foot in the final. To be honest we squandered a golden opportunity, that probably won't be repeated in my lifetime. Pickford, Mcguire, Trippier all did well - but one again failing in the final third. Ali and Linguard , just seemed to go AWOL for large sections of last nights game - and in other as well. Sterling was very poor throughout - and not quite sure why Kane was deployed so deep in the latter matches.
  15. Location, location, location. There will always be someone to step in a save a london club. For Villa not so much - although I want Xia gone the next owner will probably be an overseas unknown chasing sky money. Dr Loony Out.
  16. Bad mouth him on social media for a start - and do it 24-7 - we need some photoshop experts to get some mock ups going viral Its on a smaller scale - But I had some really horrible neighbours move in - so bad I was going to move myself - until I realised that fee's along would cost me £8k !!! - so I googled 'how to make you neighbour move' - and basically it said 'bad mouth them to absolutely everyone' - which I did - worked like a charm, they were gone within a year !
  17. I think it nice that it is unique to us - its not a nike etc, kit in Villa colours
  18. Ive heard a rumour that Luke is buying us !? ........ The bad news is Tony wants to show him the ropes ?
  19. I fear its the london effect - I know there are a couple of exceptions, but even smaller London clubs seem to get switched on owners - whilst outside London we get Chinese loony's
  20. Don't usually buy kits - really like both of those .....do they come with players ? - ah the small print "Team not included"
