Lets not get carried away. These owners look better than Xia - but lets see them appoint a CEO first, because another way of looking at it - is that Xia is still the major shareholder with 45% - the other two own 27.5% each. Ive seen it suggested that the shares the new guys own attract a dividend, so their investment provides a return - IF thats true then these guys are effectively funding the club at a cost to Aston Villa. It might also that Xia has more power at the club than we though on Friday when this new broke.

Heard it suggested that Bruce doesn't have a meeting with the new owners anytime soon.

Have we ever had anyone french at the club who has done anything approaching adequate:- Garde Vertout Didier Six Ginola Henry has got disaster written all over it - sure he has worked with Wenger and has recent WC experience - but look at Ole gunner wotsit, he had all them years under fergie and totally bombed in management.

I wonder if the new guys are just there to provide finance ? 55% covers there investment - but Xia still runs the club and they have power of veto ? - without a CEO thats how it looks right now (early days I know)

Appointing Henry would be a **** up of RDM proportions - and IMO would hint that XIA is still calling the shots.

I don't think we can spend much money due to FFP - at best its a couple @ £3m , free's and loans

Executive Chair" generally simply means that the chair of the board is an employee of the company, almost certainly the CEO. "Non-executive Chair" means that the chair is someone not an employee of the company. That person is usually a true independent but may also be a former CEO of the company.

Ive been scouring the web looking for dirt on our new owners, check bankruptcy cases, deals they have made, business they have been involved with - I have uncovered one piece concerning both owners which may be cause for concern Neither of them are vegetarians !

This feels a lot better than when Xia took over - which never felt right to me. We know the value of these guys and where the money has come from. Lets hope its as good as it seems...

New owners do tend to keep the manager on in the short term. I get the impression this takeover has been done very quickly within the last 10 days. I think the last thing they want is to be hunting for new team manager - 2 weeks before the season starts.

Less dramatic I know but personally I hope the new owners get there feet under the table before making any big decisions (they have hinted they will do this) - thats not pro or anti bruce - but lets see the brains of the new owners.

Yes agreed one lesson we should learn is that you can not run Aston Villa down a transatlantic telephone line. Hopefully the guy from the sports background will put a full time uk based CEO in place.

Still cautious - who is managing aston villa now (not the playing side) - ? - I mean who controls us. That statements talks about supporting existing ambitions - they don't sound like new owners just investors.
