  1. Nice you made the players get on but bore off now Safegate.
  2. The worst thing for me in playing Kane is you want your best players fit for the tournament so with him playing 60 plus games for Bayern plus all these pointless games he will be on his arse by the summer. Safegate is a clearing in the woods as per normal.
  3. There needs to be a system in place where everyone knows if you are caught breaking the rules in a financial sense you are deducted a set number of points. Not the up in their mythical stuff we have now. Everton have a 10 point deduction for apparently a 20 million fudge of FFP. So we equate every 2 million over budget is a 1 point deduction. Teams can chose to go over the threshold but know where they stand. City have 110 breaches which is probably in the 100s of millions over budget. So will be deducted accordingly. Chelsea likewise. Probably a few other clubs too. The amount of spend would need to be agreed by all clubs pre this coming to pass. It should then level the spend on the team so it's equal for everyone not those that have the biggest sponsorship deals or stadiums. Obviously not all clubs could spend the agreed amount but the option is there should they wish to. And those seeking to cheat and go over budget will be starting on minus points.
  4. When you are at the game watch his runs off the ball that creates space for others. Watch the runs he makes for the pass that never comes from Pau or Ezri trying to beat the offside trap. It will happen eventually. He is at it all game class player.

    Ezri Konsa

The boy talks well impressive not your average footballer seems we have some top guys in the team these days bodes well.
  6. I maybe wrong but is that stand alone lion and writing harder and more expensive to embroider onto clothing. I am sure we had to move prepared into the stripey shield years ago on advice from some guru. The new round badge is looks better everytime we win. I will accept though from a distance Villa and Chelsea badges can be mistaken.

    Away Form

    Please be Boxing Day!
  8. I am a Brummie lived in South Brum all my life Hall Green, Olton, Moseley until I was 45 then moved out to Shifnal in Shropshire. Still have a Season ticket mostly get the train to Villa Park these days.
  9. Jackson scored a goal for Chelsea against Spurs Monday night like this. About 5 yards offside but the ball is played to Sterling who was onside he runs down the wing and crossed to an unmarked Jackson to score. The fact he was unmarked is because he had the 5 yard advantage over the covering defender. It's bollocks!
  10. I noticed this was sorted at last night's game so well done Villa.
  11. Ambiguous is what it was going out those gates and turning left should be allowed. Turning right to walk down Witton Lane past the way fans ok I get that. You still have all the Lower North and Witton Lane fans coming out where the away fans are so here is a novel idea. Keep the away fans in for 30 mins like they do with us at Blues or in certain European games.
  12. The gates were shut from North Stand Car Park onto Witton Lane. Why they did not just say those gates were shut so no access I have no idea. As you had people from Trinity and The Holte walking to their cars that way to find it shut. Restrictions are fine just define it not make it guess work.
  13. Yep it's getting worse you would have thought they would have sorted out the issues after 3 years! I think it transmits to the fans as well these days you don't really see people letting go in celebration in case they make tits of themselves.
  14. Dunks Offside goal for Brighton the weekend was better
  15. And who signed him for Arsenal? The Sultan of Unai. Man knows a player when he sees one.
  16. Copa Libertadores Final live on BBC3 at 8pm tonight Fluminese v Boca Juniors one off game these days. Should be a good watch.
  17. To quote Eric Houghton "we thought the end of the world had come. Villa had never been in the 2nd Division before." They need to update the Villa History video loved that as a kid!
  18. The Detectorists will be fascinated by this find a thousand years from now
  19. One game at a time Forest are decent at home so we will need to be on our game next Sunday. Nice to have no midweek game for Unai to come up with the masterplan.
  20. At least they have Bellingham banging them in for Real! You know the best player in the world they sold for peanuts
  21. He is offered those jobs because he is good at what he does though. That Barca team was successful under Rijkaard but Pep took it to the next level. What happened to Rijkaard If he took over Villa or West Ham I am sure both would have relative success. It takes players to buy into the managers ideas. Any club where everyone is as one will do well that is from top to bottom.
  22. Klopp did well at Mainz too. Pep might be at clubs with infinite wealth and can sign anyone he fancies but it's his system and way of playing that has made him successful any team can spend millions see Utd and Chelsea. Pep is a Cruyff disciple and has perfected that system wherever he has been. It's upto other coaches to tinker these systems to beat them and that is what we are seeing with Unai and Postecoglou. Football evolves let's hope our messiah is ushering in a new era and we become the team to knock Pep and Klopp off their perch.
  23. Yeah it seems they are a tight knit group. I noticed that Tielemans and Bailey were chuffed with the 4th goal Sunday too which probably gave them the confidence for last night and that sense we belong in this team. Not forgetting Carlos and Lenglet who contributed too. It's lovely to see. Emery the Don.
