I was at the game and i cant fault any of the lads for effort you can argue that Cueller is not a right back all day long and i would agree with you!! Heskey was my man of the match he worked his bollocks off and Gabby was not far behind him. Ashley Young can be blamed for the 2nd goal in my opinion although this maybe clouded by alchohol at the time!!! Basically he is in a position to shoot but tries to beat his man which he fails to do so dives thus giving the ball to the opposition who go up the other end and score. Someone can put me right on this though as the Guiness was taking affect! The ref was getting on my tits from the moment we won the penalty could not see if there were any covering defenders (obviously not reading this thread) but it should have been a yellow minimum then 2 of our players get booked first tackle whilst Utd are clattering into our players and get sweet fa. Yanked my crank bigtime totally biased. As for luck you cant argue that we had no luck in that game did they not hit the inside of the post twice??? This to my logic indicates our name is on the cup and i could not figure out why we never equalised whats all that about!!? I gotta stop believing in superstitions and the like and just trust that the best team always wins and today it did no arguments over that. Wembley i thought was impressive it maybe abit souless but thats because there have been no really historic games played in it yet the memories need to be there for it to gain a soul and i hope and pray it starts with us winning the FA Cup in May because more than anything i want to see us win it in my lifetime!! The boys gave it their all and them having 24 hours longer to rest was a major contribution to us not being really at it today. Drop Ashley Young and bring in Downing and i think you will see a difference going forward. Watched it in a pub in Moseley didnt deserve to lose or win to be honest i could not see them scoring after they went down to 10 men and the penalty was abit harsh, yes it hit his hand but i thought it was all to do with intentional handball and he could hardly get out of the way from 2 feet!!!! My old man told me dont know how true it is that should Reading get promoted there will be an official complaint from small heath as to the dodgy goal they were given against Watford earlier in the seaon, that i think if it had not stood would have meant Reading had 2 less points. If Sheff Utd get promoted they will be minted with the 35 million from the premier league tv deal and the 30 million they get from West Ham over the Tevez saga could be interesting to see who they buy in the transfer window. Well we played some cracking footy that season beat Man Utd twice at Villa Park once in the League Cup got a draw at Old Trafford beat Liverpool and Arsenal home and away and we were looking really good until Dean Saunders decided to have a love affair with the Woodwork and Big Ron dropped a clanger by playing an unfit Dalian Atkinson instead of a brilliant young Dwight Yorke who had took his place through injury and played a blinder. That game when we drew 0-0 with Cov after playing em off the park and the news came through that United were losing 1-0 going into injury time everyone was still buzzing that the Title was still on but playing something like 12 minutes of injury when they bagged 2 goals you just got the feeling then the tide had turned and we spluttered our way through the rest of the season finishing 10 points behind. If you have not got the season review of that year buy it you wont regret it you will see some amazing goals and football.
