  1. Unless Remi is a miracle worker we aren't going to speed away from trouble but that's okay with me. Right now, I think most if us would take survival on goal difference this season. We're still likely to lose plenty of games so our survival may rest on wins and defeats as a string of 'undefeated' draws won't be good enough. Weirdly enough I'm looking forward to the rest of the season. It might take half a dozen games or so but I'm hoping to see some significant changes!
  2. It was reported as a season long loan. Dunno if there's a recall option but he is injured at the moment and missed the 4-1 mauling by Fulham on the weekend. Baker? Injured?
  3. I have several pairs of 'double skin' running socks that are actually marked 'R' and 'L'. Or at least I used to. All the 'R's seem to have mysteriously disappeared, and I have nothing but 'L's. [emoji53] I am fortunate to have someone very special who does a great job of pairing up my socks. Some of my socks are idiot-proof in that they have a design on that shows to the outside of each lower leg/upper ankle, thus indicating which sock belongs on which foot. My beef is with my socks that are too plain to be distinguishable. If I put the first sock on and it's on the wrong foot, I should be able to immediately detect my inaccuracy and swap it straight to the other foot. Instead, I nearly always compound my error by putting the second sock on the other, now incorrect, foot. This requires the removal of both socks and my full concentration to ensure they are correctly swapped to the opposite feet. My error laden sock fitting process also wastes time I could have spent continuing to dress my lower half. Life can be very harsh.
  4. That it takes until I put the second sock on until I realise the first sock feels like it's on the wrong foot.
  5. Lacking first team match fitness.
  6. If Ireland qualify and he then declares I hope we don't bring him to the world cup. I don't care if he's good enough it's not fair on the players who played all through qualification to have him come in at the last minute only because we qualify. He either declares before the end of qualification or doesn't go. Would that be the World Cup that excludes all the teams outside of Europe?
  7. Defenders are more prone to injury than midfielders.
  8. better then a goal every 2 minutes, sign him up! Dan't be daft! If you read it correctly, it's actually better than 1 minute for every 2 goals. A goal every 30 seconds is acceptable at our level.
  9. Unfortunately, it is what nearly every professional manager thinks, even if they don't say it publicly. I'm not going to get too hung up about it.
  10. I don't care much for the perceived form of Richards' performances, at CB or otherwise, prior to him joining Villa. I do care that Richards' competitive performances at Villa have been more than decent.
  11. Sherwood on OS Not Guzan's fault then, according to the BOSS. Tim doesn't say it was not Guzan's fault in the article linked above.

    Drugs

Dont you work in a bar? Yep. And alcohol should be legal, like all other drugs should be legal. I just don't like hypocrisy, especially from lawmakers. I'm not sure a flaw in the law such as the legalisation of a drug as damaging as alcohol, should be compounded by making other drugs legal. Simply, two wrongs don't make a right.
  13. Then Tim should sign a CB and ST for a few grand, just to ensure.
  14. Because most people look in the mirror more than 3 times a year so they assumed you knew?
  15. As Rudy hasn't even played a public friendly with his new team yet (any 'closed doors' game this week?), I'd give Libor 65 minutes to show his worth and bring Rudy on for the last 28 minutes. After seeing the Forest game, I think Amavi might be key to the success of our two big guys.
  16. Scottish Power are terrible. I moved from them in September 2014 and 2 months later I still had not received the £330 they owed me after they had jacked my DD payments up. In November they told me they had an IT issue dating back to December 2012 and they did not know when they would pay me MY money. I made a formal complaint and asked them how quickly they would deal with it. They assured me it would not be handled within a month. I said surely you mean it will be sorted within a month and they said "No, it will take over a month, but we don't know how much longer". FFS! Four months after I had closed my Scottish Power dual fuel accounts, they sent me a cheque for the money they owed me with a covering letter saying they were paying it "as a good will gesture"! It was MY MONEY they had hung on to for 4 months and they only gave it back to me as a "GOOD WILL GESTURE" !!!. I'll never go near Scottish Power again.
  17. In my opinion, we won't know whether this summer has been a success for a few months. You say that but in comparison to last season our transfer business has been exceptionally better. Also the speed at which they are completed It wasnt the usual snail like movement as we normally have. If you think about it a team finishing 17th how did we manage to attract two of Lique 1s brightest prospects in Amavi and Veretout? It appears to be a better transfer summer than of late and I suspect attracting the players is down to a combination of factors including money, the PL, the relative size of the club, the club's facilities and the club's representatives including the professionalism of Fox, the knowledge of Hendrick and the enthusiasm and charisma of Sherwood. I'm optimistic and excited that most of our new signings will turn out to be between decent and fantastic but I won't know how good this summer has been until I've seen them play competitively quite a few times.
  18. I've heard we've booked him in with a bit of Bully...

  20. Nowt better than sexy shoes I stand corrected, said the man in the orthopedic shoes.
  21. During his first ten minutes he made plenty of okay passes and a couple of good long passes. He then tried a short pass to the edge of the Forest box and gave the ball away. He was obviously affected by that because he then kept it too simple. A few nerves I suspect.
  22. We'll see after a season or two. The early signs are very promising.
  23. That's a decent assumption... and don't call me Shirley.
